4:19 The idea of blue for boys and pink for girls is actually fairly recent. Around the time this movie is set, all babies wore the same kind of clothes. You would even see boys in dresses up until about five years of age, so pink booties doesn't seem like too much of a stretch.
In quite a lot of Disney films Dogs are the good guys and the Cats are the bad guys. Not all Cats are mean though. The Cat from 101 Dalmatians is good and so are the cats from The Aristocats. Cinderella and Lady and the Tramp is good dog/bad cat films. 🐶❤🐱🌌☺.
Mostly true. In fact you raise an interesting point, where the dog universe of Lady and the Tramp is perhaps more true to our own world, or the nostalgic small-town it's sets in, while 101 Dalmatians is more cartoony but by no mean lacking in human touches that are heartwarming. Even when cats are 'villains', it's only in a curiously amusing way for a given scene, rather then to drive a film like Cruella does in 101 Dalmatians.
It basically boils down to the difference between the two - cats have their merits, and some people may prefer them, but a dog is a man's best friend for a reason.
Cartoon Karma Cats are best friends too and are just as loving. They just show their affection in a different way not many see. For instance when a cat blinks their eyes slowly they are saying they love you, another way they show affection is when they knead on you or headbutt you. My cat follows me everywhere and gets upset when I go outside.
My favorite Disney Film, along with Bambi.
This and Bambi, both excellent choices for favourite Disney film, I reckon.
Afraid you'll have to wait on The Fox and the Hound, it's a long ways away. Before that, there's Sleeping Beauty, 101 Dalmatians, The Sword in the Stone, The Jungle Book, The Aristocats, Robin Hood, The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh, and The Rescuers. So try and excise patience, my friend.
You're not only one with the same favorites. Yes, that's also my favorite Disney Films.
What always bothered me was when aunt Sarah took lady to the pet store to get a muzzle…. Where’s the baby? Who’s watching the baby? Lmfao

I love Lady and the Tramp. Especially the spaghetti and meatballs scenes. I feel like the Rat is the only antagonist that gets a comeuppance. Si and Am get away with getting Lady into trouble. However there is a deleted scene in which Si and Am are both shocked when they learn that a rat tried to hurt the baby. Jim Dear and Darling are good, kind dog lovers. Aunt Sarah maybe kind to babies and cats but clearly she doesn't like Dogs. I also feel like Aunt Sarah got away with treating Lady badly. If Jim and Darling had introduced Lady to Sarah maybe it would have cleared the misunderstanding up. I still can't believe this film came out in the same year as my parents were born. The fact that lady's owners treated the dogs as humans is so strange and also where are jock and trusty's owners do they let them go loose
Jock, Tony, and the cop at the zoo are no less "ethnic" and stereotypical than Si and Am. The live-action remake failed to grasp this (the cop notwithstanding).

I just found your videos. I had been watching CinemaSins up until now, yours and his are very similar except you have positive views on them as well. So does he, but they are very few and far between, also, it's a weird coincidence that I should happen upon your videos because I didn't find this through cinemasins, I found it just from searching for Lady and the Tramp because I felt like watching it today XD
Oh and I must point out that I'm kind of sick of everyone pointing out racism in the siamese cat song... I think every critic has mentioned it and I don't think it'd that big a deal.

Good dog movies can have a great connection to the soul. How else to explain the enduring popularity of Lassie Come Home? Doubtless that and pet affection in general contributed to the success of The Secret Life of Pets, though there are far more dogs then cats in that film.
Thankfully we have quite a few dog movies courtesy of Disney down the line. One Hundred and One Dalmatians is just around the corner after Sleeping Beauty, Bolt is a ways away but still great for that, and Oliver & Company is... actually best try and ignore that one.

That's a lengthy request list, buddy. As I've said in a few places, though you're probably new so you wouldn't have heard it, I'm reviewing all Disney Animation films in release order, or at least all the traditionally animated ones (the CG ones will be done by and large as I please).
So, the Aristocats is reasonably close, with only four other Disney Animation films first. The others though are a decent bit off. But there's more to my channel then Disney Animation - keeps your eyes peeled for a lengthy new episode in two days time on Monday!

I like dogs and all, but we can't forget about the fish. They were my first pets.
This is true; fish are easier to keep, but they don't do an awful lot. I found fish to be fun at first, but within a few days they just became a model for life drawing. A dog's affection is for his or her whole life though.

i also wanna point out that the parents left their child literally as soon as it was born with a stranger and i just thought well the mother can still feed the child so why are they leaving the baby once it is born? i dont understand that... the movie is very dark in my opinion

hey cartoon karma, this is an awesome video that you made, but I was wondering, will you ever do ice age3?
Dawn of the Dinosaurs? I mean, I'd like to do it as soon as possible, but there's something that's holding me back from doing so.
For whatever reason, despite doing very well in terms of views, the videos on Ice Age and Ice Age: The Meltdown have much lower retention rates then the norm, and the analytics provide no answer (for instance, if a large chunk of views were from Asian countries, that would make sense, as most wouldn't understand English enough to stick around). So, either the films themselves don't offer ample opportunity for exciting points the way I do them, or those videos in particular just ended up being unusually boring. Or, worse, they actively offended people.
So, yes, I will do videos on Dawn of the Dinosaurs and Continental Drift. It just may not be as soon as it would were those problems mentioned above not a thing.

No no, you're fine. You want the content, there's nothing wrong with that. So would I. Besides, it's not like I've been swarmed with requests for it - my channel's too small to get more then the odd one here or there. I wasn't annoyed. Even if lots of people had asked, you were relatively polite. So, no problem. I hope to maybe do one on Dawn of the Dinosaurs at some point this Summer, though no promises.

So you do, so you do. But I like cats too. Just look at what I said about Figoro in Pinocchio, and even a thing or two about Dinah in Alice in Wonderland.
To me, a cat just doesn't give the affection and companionship that a dog does. But many people like both, and I include myself in that. Just wait until the Aristocats - then it'll be jokes at the expense of dog people, myself included.
Yeah, I can see why many people would prefer dogs over cats, and I actually would consider myself in the "Dogs AND Cats" camp.

Cats don't do it to brag. Actually cats have better survival and hunting skills then dogs thank you very much. I get you dislike cats but you shouldn't spread false rumors. My cat is my best friend and she loves me and cuddles so I disagree that cats are antagonists.
I know Cats can see in the dark but can you please explain more at how Cats have better survival skills than Dogs? I always thought Cats hunted alone while Dogs hunted in packs. I'm sorry if I'm wrong. From Virginia 🎵
Cat's can't hunt like Dogs at all. They only hunt rats when Dogs have a great sense of smell and they can hun wildlife of all kinds and people. People use dogs for hunting never Cat's I hate Cats their only good at keeping mice away.
