- Akai Professional recently released MPC BEATS - a free digital audio workstation designed for beginners.
In today's live stream we'll take a look at the software and build a beat in it. We'll also be checking out the LoFi Producer Collection expansion for MPC BEATS from ADSR.
Any MIDI device can be mapped to control MPC Beats, which either runs as a standalone app or as a plug-in in another DAW. 2GB of samples, three virtual instruments, more than 80 effects and sample editing tools are on hand for building and shaping sounds. Two stereo audio and eight MIDI tracks can run simultaneously and VST, AU, AXX plug-ins are also supported.

Very informative presentation of MPC BEATS. I'm a rookie at this and pretty overwhelmed by it all. I like the way you went through each step even though I didn't catch everything. I would like to see more videos on this DAW.

After having a mpk mini for about 2 years and hardly ever using it except as a controller for iPad GB , Cubasis LE and cake walk

Great video! There are no other MPC Beats tutorials like this on the YT that I've been able to find. I know Ave Mcree and I've learned a lot about MPC Beats from watching this vid, even though I've also been using MPC beats for about a year

i have a couple akai products and a couple arturia products as far as beat machines and sequencers and i must say i totally love the MPD-226 & mpc beats . Arturia came with a little software and a minor DAW to get the instruments going , but AKAI takes the cake for sure . Loved them so much , i got a NANO MPX8 to have some xtra pads . Your videos are great and WELL informed. Thanks .. Do you have any suggestions for me and my machines ?
Hi AdSR ..I find it interesting that no one called it a Daw when it was 2.0 - 2.0 is literally the same with a higher recording track count..when beats came everyone called it a daw😲
I noticed a lot of people not giving mpc software credit...
I watched the recorded version. I think you should’ve thought out YOUR WORK FLOW before doing this. You’re all over the place on this FREE DAW. It appears that you’re familiar with the MPC Software when a lot of us is not, so when you lose track Where you are in the tutorial, SO ARE WE! You display the knowledge but offer no Inspiration.
I’m not here to piss on your video, I watched it all and feel the need to give you my take. Your video quality, sound, set up, your voice is all BOMB BRO!! Just have some direction with your videos and you’ll be even GREATER MAN.. I’ll be looking for the next one. I’m a MPC DUMMY. When you copied beats across the pads you said you held down "options". Where do I find "options" so I can copy samples across several pads ?
Doh...found it "Alt"...never heard "Alt" called options before.
@@keircordner4022 He meant "option" which is basically "Alt" for Mac computers
You can also press alt to layer sounds in the same pad

The limitations are you only have 8 tracks Full version have unlimited track counts
Better for me so i dont overdo stuff 😂
i wouldnt reccomend this for a beginner myself. As a newb/ now intermediate myself, i use ableton and reaper, both are easier to work with than this. I have this too and it was just too frustrating and different to really get into, when you are used to using the more tradtional DAW. Once you get a bit more experience, then maybe give it a go, specially if you dont use anything else. I personally just dont like it. ableton lite or infact reaper are way easier for a beginner
If you use MPC Beats to make music, do you have the copyright on it? Can you use it as your own song?

Yes as long as all of the sounds you use are ones that you yourself have created or purchased for use (royalty free samples)
any recommendation for manipulating effects during a live performance using the Akai mpk mini while using MPC Beats??

For whatever reason my pads aren't lined up to yours. How do I go about doing that?
So what is the big difference between this and another DAW? I just found out about this one but working with others daws for years. wonder IF the going to be more creative?
Mpc allows me to be more creative. I never get my drums right in other daws.

Hey using your sample manager and the stretch function works great when dragging in fl studio, but when I try the pitch option the processed file never is made and it drags a blank sampler.

So I bought xpand2 from ya'll and the installer made me restart my computer which led to constant bluescreens. Me and others are trying to fix it atm. Very poor quality...

I wanted to download MPC Beats, filled in the data, I was to receive an email with a link and... shit. I didn't get anything. That's why they tell anybody to provide: name, surname, e-mail address, Country since they don't send a link? What's up?
Maybe you wrote a Wrong email .. mine worked
and that akai mini is probably the worst 25 keys controller talking about the keybed.. i bought one and i gave it back without even taking it out of the plastic back.. the feeling of those keys was like a bad quality TOY.
Mpk 3 just came out lol looks way better than the mpk 2
MK3... TOTALLY DIFFERENT.. the TOY feel Is NO LONGER. It’s a real quality midi keyboard now, perfect for the backpack.. you’ll notice the difference immediately and for $120.00. It’s great.

He explained the full workflow of the MPC Beats Software. And even dabbled with the effects in a simple way.

I've been using it for about a month and it gets easier as you move along. I'm having some problems with effects and such,but it's probably lack of skill instead of the programs limitations.
I was kinda hoping to try another DAW. What you would recommend?
