Please don't abandon this program, it's absolutely amazing. I started with MPCs, and moved to DAWs, The quantitization and workflow never felt right. I just discovered this program and I'm truly inspired again. Please keep developing this program, it's a winner 👍🏾

@Icestro beats 11/10. I started working with Cakewalk in 2001-->Sonor Producer 8.x. I built dozens of rigs, Scsi drives, the fastest processors (essentially gaming rigs). I have a ton of old gear etc., including a Roland FA06. IMHO this just sort of made everything obsolete. Clearly, more tracks would be great, but there is nothing stopping someone from fleshing out a significant portion of an idea, and porting it into Ableton etc. I bought an MPK mini in 2018, and sort of shelved it. I decided to look into any new developments yesterday, and literally fell out of my chair. Bravo. I mean, if these guys offered a dental plan, and free money, it would be better for sure, but what the hell, this is very well-thought out, and the tutorial(s) are simply elegant, insightful and inspiring.

Dig MPC Beats, especially as a plugin. But there is a HUGE BUG with the Keygroups, when in plugin mode. This is entirely reproduceable, too:
Load any instrument Program. ANY, as a Keygroup. Play the sound of it. Hit E2 (the E below middle C3). Then hit Eb2. It drops to a different octave, and different note. If you're on Pad Bank A that is. If you're on B, the note jump is less severe, as you're in a different octave. Bank C, same. Bank D and above, the Eb2 note registers as a HIGHER note than E2, and same with all banks to follow.
This is ONLY present in the plugin version of MPC Beats (2.8.2). It is not present in standalone. I tested inside Reaper, Ableton, Maschine, and Studio One.
I tried reporting a bug but the bug reporting feature isn't working, oddly.
Please be aware of *and fix* this (very annoying) bug. Thank you so much!

I find it unfortunate that Akai communicates very badly about this software which is fantastic I discovered it by chance while watching a CZcams video of a beatmaker I always believed that to use this software you had to buy an MPC I was surprised by the quality of this Daw that I ended up buying in standalone Akai should be clearer and do more promotion this software deserves it

@ 19:44 you demonstrated how to put a single sound onto the keys so that each key would be that sound, but on a different note. When I do this for other kinds of sounds, it plays them in different notes, but it also speeds them up/ slows them down. How do I avoid this? Thank you!!!! And great video :)

I like that Akai is putting out these Masterclass videos. They're useful. especially when new features come out.
I have an issue with the arrangement section, though. I mean, why would you make it hard on yourself by using a workaround to edit things in a linear way when MPC's biggest strength is it's modular workflow??
The way I do it is to make a "master loop" where I just jam and add my all my ideas until I'm happy with it. Then I have a big, fatty loop with every possible track in it. I copy that sequence and rename it (intro, verse, chorus, etc). Then it's just a matter of using track mutes, pad mutes, and automation to get each sequence how it want it. If I want an A and a B version of any sequence, I copy/paste that sequence and make my edits. It's stupid simple after that to open up song mode and throw my sequences in the order I want.
The advantage of doing it this way is that making changes and rearranging is non-destructive and it's easy to change your mind and move stuff around without screwing things up or needlessly duplicating effort. That workflow is the whole point of the MPC and the reason MPC Studio is not a linear DAW.
I get it if you're used to doing things a certain way, but I don't know why Akai would show you a suboptimal workflow that the MPC is not good at instead of showing you how powerful and flexible it is for arranging. If you want to do linear arranging, you're better off bouncing your tracks into a DAW that's actually good at linear arrangement.
