    On oversharing from my INFJ perspective, I am either stone cold to people or I accidently tell them my life story. 0-100. I always regret it when I realize I overshared.

    Ti = "I am my own authority"
    Ti works within it own "direction" meaning it does not particularly respect nor care about the views another thinker may have. It can see the value of a solid theory by someone else but Ti is inherently very critical and skeptical of another's view point. Paired with Fe makes it more considering towards others but when it operates in a vacuum it does not care. Especially when paired with Ni for the classic Ni Ti loop infjs are cursed with. That loop is basically being "stuck in your own world" and unable to break free from your constricted, circular train of thought. Hardly anything external could break the Ni Ti loop except for a strong Se experience that punishes the loop out of existence or breaks it altogether. The loop typically runs its course until your energy is gone completely if no stimuli forces you into the external world. I hope this makes some sense from the viewpoint of an infj 😅

    When you feel that you don’t understand an INFJ you should let them know.. it’s one of the reasons that we repeat phrases. We’re wanting to be understood and trying to make sure you are still with us 😉. As far as having difficulty reading what an INFJ has written here is a trick.. it may not help with when an INFJ hasn’t translated their Ni but if you read out loud it makes the flow relatable. 🤚🏻swear to God it helps. 😊Thanks a lot for your videos. You always make me smile. I hope you and your love ones are well and safe. 💕

    Great video! I'm pretty sure I'm an INFJ - there's lots of bias when it comes to this type but after researching typing from functions viewpoint, I'm pretty certain this is my actual type. So here's my take :) I absolutely agree about the speech/reading difference between INFJ and INFP! Both are abstract but in different ways, if that makes sense? I find listening to INFPs less predictable than many other types haha Ni usually figures out where the story's going, but listening to INFPs I kinda have to let the story unfold step by step to arrive at a destination because of how differently they build the path there.
    Personally I always feel that I overshare, but I've had many people say otherwise, including the whole 'mysterious' thing. My understanding is that INFJs don't wish to disrupt a social setting and try to tone down the quirks which to other people creates that feel of something left unsaid. Whereas what feels like oversharing to an INFJ is actually Fe over-relating: for people we're speaking to that usually paints us as instantly easy to get along with (not always the case). It's a bit of a juxtaposition, but I've had a few people comment along these lines. I think this is where that similarity to ISFJ comes in.
    Tbh don't think Pucokie is an INFJ - can't really put my finger on it, but INFJs come across warmer and less direct. They may look intense but they are softer when they speak, statements and tone less direct, faces more expressive. Their tone, expressions and body language instantly mirror and adjust to their audience.
    Sorry this turned out to be a long rant, but really enjoyed your analysis and nuanced description. Much love for INFPs!

    I know so many INFPs and I've always liked interacting with them, it just flows naturally from my point of view. They can be akward, but I think I can be akward too so I'm not actually aware who's more akward. I rather see it as the more wholesome side of the relationship that we can both laugh about.
    In terms of understanding each other's points of view, the struggle is on INFP's side mostly, I usually hurt their brain. I think this is because they try to use Si to internalise my abstract ranting, while my Ni can catch up on their Ne points, which are, usually, nicely balanced with Si data.
    Also, the pond (not sure on the spelling) exemple was spot on!

      I completely agree with this. I understand INFPs but I think they can struggle with me sometimes. my Mum was INFP so I had intensive INFP training lol. weirdly most of my friends are INFPs and ENFPs. I think they're hilarious but where we tend to clash is how rigid and focused I can be and how I want to work toward some of these great ideas. I find NFPs frustrating because nothing gets followed up or followed through. I like more stability and to know what we're doing where that can distress NFPs who find it too structured and prefer to go with the flow or just see what happens. I love conversations with NFPs. They get me out of my tunnel for sure!

    Extraverted functions are outward perception -> inward processing. Introverted functions are inward perception -> outward processing. So Fe isn't really about expressing personal, internal feelings, it's more about perceiving the emotional data of other people. Sometimes Fe users actually feel rather disconnected from their own personal feelings. I think that INTPs are the most stereotyped Fe users for this and for having personal emotional disconnect (mentality like: other people have feelings, i do not have feelings, or else i can easily control my feelings, i am a robot), but this can be an ongoing trouble for all Fe users, even the Fe doms.

      Thanks for the leads and the nuggets.
      ...as to your questions at the end of the vid-
      Honestly, ya'll's personality type really does seem the way you think it does- or to me and more serious types that Ive known anyway- but its a lot to do with the eye movements and the verbal feints and flitters and giggles and whatnot.
      Its cute to a lot of men when the women do it, but probably a lot of people write the depth of whole person off because of those things.
      This may be why you havent had many INFJ friends and acquaintances.
      People arent expecting a psychologist or an author behind the bubbles, but then all our "shells"- our appearances and mannerisms can sell our true spirits a little or even a lot short at times.
      I know you are asking that- professionally- to probe how INFJ's percieve ya'll, but I feel like I should soften my response by saying- I wouldn't worry about it or change it at all.
      About INFJ's being maybe the most "unsharing" ---
      I know that we come off that way- stoic usually- but there are those kind of free, even unearned dumps of really genuine nuggets that friends of years usually only get that could come at any time- sometimes immediately or to a total stranger in the right situation--- so there is that kind of random "x" factor/ almost incalcuable, slowing and speeding pattern that pops up and shatters that image that you were speaking of at the very end, there.
      I dont even know why that happens but it does.
      Anyway- thanks again for responding, for your time, and your genuiness of introspection into others.
      Sorry for the long-windedness in your comments section.

    What a great job you're doing! I've been checking your system for quite some time and I think you've reached some sound elements and correlations.
    Also I would love if you could trace the distinction between INFJ and INTP. Somehow I keep going back and forth (especially) between these two types when trying to define my personality type. I guess that's due to the general confusion around the terms; i. e., the cognitive functions definitions. I can't tell for sure if I'm using more of Ti+Ne or simply Ni when I get to conclusions on something, because I kinda know how I get there but it seems a less structured path than it should be if I was using Ti.
    P. S.: Actually, I was typed as INFP the first time I did the 16personalities test, but I'm quite sure I'm not one of you guys... lol That's like the 7th most probable option, I guess ^^

      I know it's different from everyone, but have u looked into ENTP? 🤔 INFJ & ENTP is a common mistype, and you're between INFJ & INTP
      My 16p personality test also gave INFP, then INFJ sometimes (depending on how I interpreted the questions), some other sites also gave me INFJ. When I learned cognitive functions: I'm a socially introverted ENTP, but on a Ne-Fe loop, hence the INFP result on 16p. I also was back and forth between ENTP & INTP for a while, but my Si sucks too much to be an INTP and I realized the definition on being on a loop

    • @CarlosGabriel-xk7ww
      @CarlosGabriel-xk7ww Před 2 lety +1

      @@haeun7180 Actually, I have. I also had this INTP & ENTP conundrum myself. The reason I think I'm not an ENTP is my Si. I can be very strict with myself when I'm convinced there is a good reason for that. Also, I'm not that sure the loop stuff is real, for all I've seen. I'd like to read more on this "socially introverted Exxx" idea of yours, though. What exactly do you mean by that? I mean, how the functions would be interacting in this case?

    • @haeun7180
      @haeun7180 Před 2 lety

      @@CarlosGabriel-xk7ww Before everything, I'm so sorry for the long comment. I tried to narrow it down, but it was hard.
      Well, it's not my idea. It's really how it works. 😊 The cognitive function definition of introvert and extrovert is different from the one we use on an everyday basis. And actually, most people on earth are social ambiverts.
      For example, ENXP are considered one of most introverted (socially) extroverted (bcs they're dominant function is extrovert) mbtis. Ne can be considered the most introverted out of the extroverted cognitive functions. This is bcs Ne feeds off of ideas and possibilities, and that's smth a person can do reading a book, watching a movie, doing research, etc etc. It doesn't the person to move around much.
      If u take Se, for example, it's a much more dynamic cognitive function. People with high Se might enjoy loud music, dancing, sports, activities in general that involve moving around. Even tho it's a stereotype, there's a reason for it. Se is a lot present-focused, so the sports stereotype comes from the immediate outcome of playing a sport. You play, you get a result: winning or losing. Photography too: You need to explore, take a picture, get the result.
      Whereas Ne is about possibilities, doesn't exactly need an outcome. Back to Se, even someone with high Se could prefer to play a sport alone, which could go into the definition of a social introvert.
      Ofc I'm giving really generic descriptions of these two functions, it's a lot more than that. And also some Ne users obviously will like sports, Se might enjoy more calm activities. My husband is an ENXP who loves sports and photography, which could be more Se activities, by definition, because it involves moving around and having immediate results.
      About the loop, yes it can happen. Speaking from experience. I'm in a Ne-Fe loop myself. Loops usually aren't healthy (not to say every time). A loop means that someone will "jump" over their 2nd function and use more of their 3rd one. It's usually unhealthy bcs our 3rd function can easily be misused. In my case, my Fe stops me from doing/saying a lot of things, bcs I keep thinking if it's sociably acceptable. I'm definitely not going to be your typical ENTP that likes to argue. I might have the perfect argument in my head, I just don't expose them.
      An INTP loop would be Ti-Si. I have an INTP friend that I believe is in a loop, and she tells me that she thinks a lot about the past, mostly about the past. Ne is present concerned, so the most healthy thing for her would be to focus more on the present, but bcs of the loop she thinks a lot about the past. I even asked her if it's usually negative, and she told me that sometimes it is, but most times is just her thinking about the past. Me, for example, when I think about the past, I quickly discard it to the side. It happened, I regret some things I did, nothing I can do about it, move on.
      About your type, one good question you could ask yourself is: what are you most proud of? Usually, we get proud of when we can accomplish what's related to our lowest function.
      ENXP would be proud of being able to keep a routine. Example: I want to start a routine of exercising more often. If I do it for 1 week or a bit more, I'll feel proud bcs I've been doing a routine.
      And IXTP would be proud of social acceptance. My ISTP father in law gets really happy when he tells a joke and people laugh. He feels socially integrated when that happens, so he feels proud of himself.
      IxxJ, they would be really proud of being spontaneous. I can't explain it really well, bcs I don't have real-life examples. I did watch a video about it earlier, so I'll try to explain. An INXJ, they're always concerned about seeing all the patterns, planning the future, all of this to prevent chaos from happening. So, if they use Se, which is present based, they would feel really proud of being spontaneous (the video: youtu(.)be /s9O6bvhtnrI about IXXJ - the other types are also on that channel 😊)
      I think those questions might help u with your type. 😊

      @@haeun7180 Thank you for kindly taking the time and effort in answering this question. I don't mind the size of it, really.
      The thing is: I've exhibit all of this patterns consistently in my life. I guess I can usually fell more proud of being socially accepted than the rest, but I struggle with all of the three. I guess it would be the case if my Si, Fe and Se were somewhat my 3th, 4th and 7th functions, which stands for INTP.
      But I'm not convinced. I think I need to do more research on how the function position changes its character before I can reach any conclusion.

    • @CarlosGabriel-xk7ww
      @CarlosGabriel-xk7ww Před 2 lety +1

      @@haeun7180 Also, I tend to see the four main functions as 2 "moons" orbiting the planet of the Conscious: the "Perceiving moon" (for the XNTP, Ne-Si) and the "Judging moon" (Ti-Fe for the XNTP): like Earth's moon, always showing the same side. For the XNTP, the bright side of the J-moon takes a larger share of Ti. Same goes for Ne on the bright side of the P-moon. But the tides of planet Conscious are caused by both, each moon's tidal force depending on which one is closer at that moment. So, a person maintains its 2 dominant functions, but its influence depends more on the context than it's usually given. So, INTP and ENTP would actually be different manifestations on the same NTP spectrum. I'd love to see your critique on this concept.

    Wow~ you're describing it good. And yeah. I still having trouble making sense of TI , and I had one ISFJ friend which more like me than INTJ. If I was talking and communicated to the world, ISFJ maybe the most closest to me cuz instead of only using the ..... Hard to understand line of dialogue (like poems?), I used SI a bit. 😅🙂 Even my dad , INTJ , are using SI . But there's a part where I used Ni, but Ni won't make people see the points than Si is. .. I just hate using the dark functions of SI . 😑 But in between INTJ and INFJ, whats the similarity is that their skills . As Introvert (like 80% introvert -other 20% are actually for going to work to get a salary) , INFJ and INTJ are skillful. In understanding how to create , to master , to just call it as the hobby, both can be just doing it through .... NI. That is why Ni isn't for words , but for visions. INFJ and INTJ using it to read between the line of stuff. Like.... How to stitch a dress? How to recreate the recepies , how to fix the pipe, how to draw what we're imagine or write it down.. Thats how NI for us. Its not for you to talk out, but for you to practice stuff (insideout) . Like Nicola Tesla (INTJ). A big imaginations, and he even create the inventions. .. But he can't tell people how to wire this and that follow the vision. Thats for him to do... That is NI. It isn't the metaphor. .. Its for the imaginations and reading between the abstract . Like abstract drawing... The future that Ni predict isn't to let the world hear , but for the world to see.. And .. I know... I talk too much. Hahaha 😅😅

    Reason to doubt you're not an INFJ - You got it on 16personalities

      I am pretty sure at this point that I am an INFJ, and that test scored me as an ESFP. XD The metrics it uses are actually from a completely different personality system. The "MBTI letters" there aren't even representing actual MBTI characteristics.

    Nooooo. Just wow from an INFJ. You never have a thesis. You bounce as if you have an adhd influence..... you say yeah and what ever and a THAT THING attitude... you laugh at the fact that we know things. Whiney little girl tone in voice .... just no
