A solid spade for sure, but I find it a bit bottom heavy or clumbersome I believe because of the size of the handle. I think the actual blade part needs to be made a bit smaller to get the weight and balance right.
Bought this shovel last week and am very happy with it . Perfect for plugs .

I could of got this one but i got the Black Widow one instead as I don't want to have a wobbly shovel.
Good Morning.. I still need to get one of these shovels. would make it easier for me to get those deeper targets that I struggle with using a hand digger.. Thanks For sharing..
It makes a huge difference! I used to just use a hand digger and after 50 to 100 jokes I would get tired. With the long handles I can easily dig 200 holes in a day.

I think that steel dust cover thing it's to reinforce the collar of the lower pipe when you are prying so you don't split the pipe. If it is steel, that it my thought.

@@southernrelics Sir i have used a spectra v3i fot 9 yrs and im thinking. The legend multi smf. Waterproof. Several more individual frequiencies. It should be a great unit and will fill the bill on the beach. And hopefully the colonial corn fields here in saratoga county ny

Good looking shovel! I don't understand why Nokta wouldn't just secure that dust cover so it's not flopping around. But it looks tough.

Great question. I have three other shovels, so I don’t use the Nokta shovel all the time. My buddy uses his all the time and has held up great. Keep in mind, it does not come with a sharpened edge. I had to put a grind to mine to give it a sharp edge.
Got this shovel: The Bad- the blade is heavy and too thick for hard ground, it is wobbly and its cumbersome . The Good: its strong.
