6. Falling
Falling on your knees (if you have protection) is actually a good way to stop for newbies
"easiest, quickest, and safest way to stop" - Not sure how it's the quickest at all. T-stops are just as fast, slides are faster, and parallel stops are the fastest by far.
Tbh t stops is an intermediate stopping technique.
t stop makes your wheels live shorter, you need good balance for it so it's quite hard to do in emergency situation when your balance is already a bit off. on short downhill with a pretty big angle (I hope you get what i mean) brakes r the safest and can save life, which actually happened to me (if i didn't manage to stop i would end up on a road under some car and there werent good conditions for t-stop). no way i ever remove the brake
@@julia.95 us folks who use rollerblades on ramps/hand-rails etc can't have the break on the back (creates friction when on uneven surfaces etc), so we all used to use t-stops until we were good enough to learn the ol' hockey stop/parallel- really a must considering those breaks can be very slow especially if you're going fast.
I busted my arse the other day. Good thing I had knee pads and elbow pads on.
i have been a faithful grass stopper since day one of skating.. which was this week... lmao
Crossovers with the heel brake is fun
believe it or not, people are so crazy that, this is the best video on the subject.
OMG she is 6" away from going off a ledge and drowning in Lake Erie. What the actual ....?
If you skate backwards almost 100% of the time and you use the heel brake... ☠️ RIP
💀
As a roller skates coach although im only high school (16y) I dont rly recommend using heel u can learn many ways to stop instead of use heel and there are many thing u cant do with heel
Making me feel old.
@@RubyMVmistress why tho lol
Helpful video 😊 Thanks
Good video, I hear a chicago accent
Slides are by far the most effective for beginners and intermediate
Grass Stop👍

Power slide!
Number 1 injuries are caused by the brake.
Take it off, learn any other way to stop, please!
What if you can't stop any other way 😭
Can you explain?
Would you say that it’s best to use a brake when first beginning
just learn other ways to brake, the rubber brakes that come attached are way too slow and way too weird to be safe or efficient. Take them off and learn a t stop and later on spin stops. Be sure to skate in safe areas until then
Wow
there is another, front T-stop
🙋♀️👍❤
"Easiest" - I dont know about this one, "quickest" - absolutely not, "safest" - until a car is coming at you
I’m sorry I play hockey with rollerblades I don’t have a back brake
In my opinion beginners should learn to skate with a brake anyway, it'd safer and more enjoyable experience.
Lol nice love it

1st stop is risky tell another way
I see only 4 way to stop.
нафиг этот тормоз. проще соул слайдом тормозить.
7. Run into a rubbish bin
Jesus Christ loves you amen 🙏
Imagine using brakes to stop :|
here are five ways to get your self kil**d with brakes on :
1. going down the stairs with brakes on - this one will do it for you (proven by experts *me*)!
2. doing the "grass stop" - it will kill your bearings too :) .
3. doing 540^ judo grip in skate park and hitting heel on the ramp - you will end up rolling around like a kebab.
4. thinking you can stop with brakes on downhill - (don't try this one at home) *this one can actually kil* you*
5. committing sui**de - because you will be unable to to do spins, jumps, power-slides, 2 wheel crossovers...
