@@tw4943 Yeah dude it's worth it, I am learning AutoCAD, and now i do know basics of it and i just need to practice more to enhanced it. Yeah they give Certificate.
@@tw4943they have certificates but not in the normal sense. They just mean you finished the course. There are sources online to help with Job placement tho. And a lot of certs you can get by going to to the website of the respective company and take a test for a fee.

You can access it through your library for free depending on the libraries that you have in your area. Libraries also have free coding classes too but you won't get a certification.
Still better than my college Diploma course that cost $1739. Pluse you can learn at home without needing to pay hostel or rent.

I’d recommend people watch the course previews before you buy. To me, Udemy is a poor man’s Coursera.
No, Udemy has many more courses than coursera.
Well for me udemy is the answer as i don't have the finances to go to a collage. And for me to get better salary than the damn peanuts i currently get. I have to get new skills and well udemy is great way to learn new skills.

Lol yeah, people overly critique you for what sources you’re educating yourself from, but no one bats an eye when you eat a tub of ice cream every weekend lol. I’m getting the $20 per month plan ($240/year). If it was $100 per month, I’d still consider it a good deal as long as you don’t become smarter than the people teaching you which I don’t think can happen with the abundance of new courses coming out all the time.

It wasn't worth it for me. I lost my payment of $70. In less than a year. They claim they have NO information on me even though I've given them lots of identifying info. Never again!

Who issues the certificates once you complete the course? The instructor? and if the instructor why would it hold weight? Meaning, why would an employer take Udemy courses seriously where as if you took a course with Comptia they would? I'm super confused any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you
Instructor doesn't issue certificates, Udemy does, and no serious employer accepts Udemy course as any valid certification. It's just a truth

So what if you won't get a certificate?! Udemy is all about getting access to affordable knowledge, not a paper proving that you know something
@@NickNyxson I guess that came off very arrogant, pompous, and ungrateful and I didn't mean it that way. I am sorry. The experience and the knowledge is worth more than a certificate I agree. I guess in a world where employers only care about a piece of paper. We then tend to only think in a monomania pursuit of prerequisite success.
@@MarcusAurelius12 In many cases, especially in the media world, employers will look at your portfolio over a degree! Sure, a Udemy certificate means nothing on paper, but the ability to purchase very structured courses that took the course creators months to put together for only $20 is incredible. If a $20 course helps you take your craft to the next level improve your portfolio to make your work attractive to employers, I would say that is worth WAY more then a $30k communications degree.

Yes if you buy the course, usually but if you subscribe and break your subscription you lose access to ALL including those you have bought.
I'm taking the acting masterclass, but the bizarre thing is that the instructor has no name, no identity, no credentials, no credits--or maybe he does, but Udemy has not revealed this, and it's impossible to contact them to ask who he is and why he is qualified to tach a "masterclass," which is in fact a beginner's class. Luckily the course is so cheap, it's not worth pursuing the answers to these very basic questions.
You got the last part absolutely right. That's the whole point of Udemy.
As for the word “Masterclass”. Today that word doesn't really mean anything and it's basically a synonym of “Course”.

Yes, no problem. I first bought a Udemy course in 2015....long time.
Is the course a one time payment?
Yes, I just bought 5 within the last month, june 2024, and one time payment. A few get updated for life too or as long as they keep selling. haha. By the way, I first bought Udemy course back in 2015 so long time.
how come almost 50% users have given 1 star? I bought a course for 3 yrs ago, and that AI generated voice was annoying, plus none of my questions were answered in timely manner from the instructor.

@@rosenunez4328 Quite a few, actually. The ones I'll highlight are The Complete Video Production Boot Camp (Phil Ebiner). Video Storytelling. Creative Excellence Class and (Andrew St. Pierre White - He actually quite a few good courses for filmmakers), and Video Editing Masterclass: Edit Your Videos Like a Pro (Julian Melanson). These three instructors have several video creating courses.

Yes, they are worth it if they are FREE, they are basic.
Customer service at Udemy is terrible! And their subscription option does not have enough good courses! I will never use them again. Other platforms are much better!

Udamy courses are rather cheap courses, so in this sense you don't lose much if it turns out that you don't like some course. And even if you get such cheap course, you still can file for a refund ;)
Can we have one on one interaction with the tutor on udemy?
No. It's not possible on Udemy
@@NickNyxsonIt is possible in the Q and a section and some instructors also have Facebook groups or CZcams, Twitch and possibly TIKTOK LIve streams. So it depends on the instructor. Read the reviews before signing up.

The course covered are very excellent and has good insights of latest S4HANA Finance Consultant technology and very easy to grasp and master the design of system.
