#Udemy #CV #Job
The certificate itself is not worth it, that's true. However the content is really worth it and the knowledge you gain opens to many opportunities
yes
Can you say which courses will be best to put on cv weather you are marketing or hr specialization
@@maniacartsy4415 not to put the course on your CV, Take the course, Get the knowledge, and write on your CV that you have skills in this and that
The Complete Digital Marketing Course is very good
Which is whst is more relevant. Your learned skill is!
Have done your course from udemy ??
I think it is worthwhile adding the completed Udemy course to your resume. It shows employers that you have gone the extra mile to learn a topic and that you have completed some amount of training hours in a particular topic. I am a Udemy instructor and I bring industry knowledge to my courses, which many students have testified to the tangible value of.
I do get your point that anyone can become an instructor (because who am I), but someone with no university training can very well benefit from learning on Udemy and should include the certificate in their paperwork.
That makes sense 👍
I echo this sentiment. I think it works in your favour to actually add it on your CV AND LinkedIn. Plays on recruiters and hiring managers psychology
@@AK-fr8sy true because even if it doesn't qualify as an educational certificate it still, like you said plays on the psychology of the employer. It also often times serve as a co consation filler or starter. And it does tell a good deal about your willing to continuously learn
Are you really could you help me I would love to learn for free
I'm an employer and would accept a udemy certificate from an applicant in a heartbeat.
i dont agree...i have gotten recognition (and the Job) because of Udemy courses. I actually have a section in my CV, that i update with any courses i do and books i read...under the title "As an indication for my passion for Learning"
How do you include the books you read please?
great tips!
I always wondered if books could be added to a resume/CV. But is it looked down upon if they’re not peer reviewed sources?
Is 2 hrs course worth it?
@@rayofsunshan i dont think their is a right or wrong...at the end of the day, you are putting your character, abilities and behavior on display...
and if reading, indicates this...then put in on show
i have about 200 (and growing) "business" books i have read in my CV...and all I say is this is an indication of my "passion for growth". Which to me is more valuable then any course or experience, bcos it shows that i am always moving forward, always moving towards a better informed state. Something, I would find extremely valuable, if i were an employer
But recruiters care about certification because if they see certificate definately they ask or give questions about that certification or course content so this way is completely wrong about my openion, technical round is only for what you mention in your CV or Portfolio ☺️ and certificate matters the most no matter Udemy or Coursera keep working guys keep learn whatever you love or wherever
It shows initiative and discipline though so although it doesn't do anything in any official capacity it shows that you have a drive to learn as much as you can about something and I think prospect employers could find that valuable
Exactly my thoughts, this is why I chose to do online course through Udemy. Thank you for understanding. I wish this guy did.
No certificate is worth nything unless u have the skills to back itnup
I know a self taught IT, all through udemy. And he swears by it. He has found humself good paying jobs with his knowledge, even if udemy certtificates arent real. You get too keep the knowledge
Many recruiters do not care about certificates anyway. The skill you have learned from udemy is what matters 😉
As beginners with no skills and having find a course with budget .
Don't let this discourage ,most of the companies don't care whether you have a certification or not until you have required skills after learning skill set make a bunch of projects to back your skills for it .I actually wasted alot of time in arranging money for courses on course Era or edx ...
If you don't have enough money udemy is the best to aquire the required skills make sure to go through the content before taking it
The instructor status also matters because instructors like Angela Yu,Jose portilla are so great
My Degree also didn't have such an impact on my job interview, than what the projects I had built from the udemy course did. But yes factually he's right, but knowledge is permanent
Suggest me some courses, I would take on udemy
Take the course, have a git repo that shows your commits over time from the course. That way there's good evidence that you didn't just copy paste the code all at once. Get the cert, be a finisher, and there's no way that looks bad on your resume.
It is a course completion certificate and same value as any other course certificate.
Honest one 💯. But its worth gaining knowledge... but agree with you 💯
The fact that anyone can create a course on Udemy is a positive not a negative. Plus the fact that someone doesn’t have qualifications doesn’t mean they can’t teach. I’ve met plenty of people who are subject matter experts but can’t find a good way to teach others if their life depended on it. The certificates on Udemy are not meant to include on a CV but the trove of knowledge on the site is undeniable.
Skills are always important over certificates. 1 skill >>>>>> 10 certificates with no real skills. So better create projects and attach links to your cv or resume rather than buying courses and sticking certificates.
Well some instructors and corses are certified by Udemy and endorsed through there learning program.
I am a udemy instractor . udemy put my account in Safe Mode . I cannot log in to my account. I contact them but they don't provide any proper assistance. I lost my all the courses which i purchased.I lost my instructor account. But still anyone can access my course. I don't know how to fix it , they just harassment me without any reason.
This is crazy!
Any news yet?
Most people I know that can no longer afford college and going to Udemy to take courses and putting them on their resumes! Udemy is the future.
I have 3months after having 7yrs of work experience. I want to learn few subjects in this short time. Shall I go ahead & invest in Udemy courses and fill tha gap Or please suggest.
You're saying that being an instructor on Udemy, hahaha! But yes, if it wasn't for Udemy, I'd never know about your channel and the outstanding contents you make. So yes, in that perception, Udemy surely have put some values for me.
Well, it is true. Why would I lie by saying that certificates are actually great thing, while they are actually not?!
I didn't say that Udemy is worthless, because it is not and anyone can gain a lot of knowledge there, but as for certificates, it has no more power than CZcams subscriber milestones.
@@NickNyxson hlo sir, can I use udemy certificate to cover my study gap? I wanna go abroad😓
Thanks Nick I liked and Subscribed knowledge is power.
Man, I had some confusion, and thank God I found this video.Thank you very much.
Is this youtubers opinion valid? No any youtuber can give thier opinion in udemy certificates, but unless he's actually been denied a job or recieved one after using one, his opinion is just an opinion.
Just like he's saying anyone can leave a course, anyone in CZcams can leave an opinion.
If 2+2=4 in school but you can't afford school so a homeless guy who finished school tells you 2+2=4, is it no longer credible because it's from a homeless guy?
In other words, don't let someone else tell you what is or what isn't, I was taught ANY form of knowledge/wisdom you get is still knowledge doesn't matter where or how you obtain it.
CZcamsr?! 😂 Dude, I am an actual Udemy Premium Instructor which gives out those certificates 😂
Who said anything about knowledge being invalid? No knowledge is invalid but in corporate and business world your knowledge is measured with valid and trusted certification, not with "Trust me bro, I know this, I have learnt it on *insert anything*"
@@NickNyxson 🤣🤣them cooperate people don't know what they want lol, I say hack the system with what you learned on Udemy and post you're "bro I know this" cert, when they can't figure out who hacked them, you got the job 🤣🤣
Bro Jonny, you're sick. Trust me
The certs don't count, but they are normally on sale. Don't pay hundreds
Oh man I was looking at a Microsoft course and psychology course on Udemy I guess I won’t get them I want to build my resume up. What’s the point of Udemy if employers won’t hire you or at least make you stand out?
Then where should we go to get the certificate that we can use in our cv Or resume??
Actual colleges
@@Pratt11 i am asking if we are not able to go to college so where should I get it 💀
@@devilqueen4802I know what you meant LOL. That's the whole point for some people. Like me for example. I don't have the money for college and unfortunately never will that's why I'm looking to do online courses. Clearly that person that commented is ignorant. 🤣
@@amandanichole8648 I know right.. I can't afford college either so I had to give up.. Now I'm doing freelancing with whatever education I have 😩.. Life is so unfair huh
I have seen people with Univiersaty Degrees and after the graduate they just hang it up on there wall like a trophy and never do the job instead they just end up doing something else.
so which kind of certification valid in other platforms.
Then suggest some platforms where rhe certificates matter
What is your opinion on codecademy?
Hi what about Harvard certificates they are quite expensive so are they worth it or not?
It depends on what you are studying if it is for high-tech then in most cases it is less influential but if it is for academia such as history studies then it can come as credits for a degree or prove that you are an expert in a certain field which affects you when you want to research something or teach afterwards.
Better and more reliable alternatives to Udemy?
Can I use it to cover my study gap?
Because i want to go abroad😢😢😢😢
Go for it! It shows that you’re disciplined and eager to continue learning regardless of the platform.
Can you also talk about Coursera
I think they all fall into same category.
@@IbrahimMohamud-zf6xm not anybody can just upload courses to Coursera.
very hardworking
Shows where you been trained
is it possible to create multiple instructor account with my own documents? I just want to create a new instructor account with a new email . is it possible? please help!
No. You can't.
And nobody here will be able to help you. Only you yourself can sort it out with Udemy.
Just contact them properly ask for the problem and look for the solution together.
@@NickNyxson I got a mail from support team udemy. here it is

Hi there,
Thanks for writing in.
Instructors can create multiple accounts, and yes each one must have its own email, the documentation you use yo verify can be the same, we don't have any restrictions when it comes to this.
I hope this helps clarify this.
Roberto }
@@dhekoaurjano4446 Well, I know few people whose accounts were banned because they created multiple accounts. Granted, they were breaking a lot of other rules, however, if they told you it is fine, then I guess it is fine. But don't be surprised if they will change their minds soon.
I would rather work more on improving on the existing account than on creating a new one.
@@NickNyxson yes you are right I need to wait for some time,I don't want to be in a hurry.
What about Coursera?
So, should I stop listening your course on Udemy...😂😂😂🤭
If you are doing it for certificate, then yes 😂😂😂
@@NickNyxson 😅🤣🤣
@@NickNyxson honest answer...😂
@@NickNyxson and if we want to learn complete office basic to advance should I join it or not??
Hi. I’d just like to know if doing the free courses is worth the while?
Those certifications are not accredited.
I never knew they gave “certificates”. That sounds like a complete joke lol.
You do me , sounds weird now
OMG I am about to give you a dislike however you are right
I learned the hard way. Udemy is NOT worth it
love from india bro
Like for edx
hot AF!
You are the enemy to progress.. sorry but we find value in the certificates.. I almost got discouraged because of this . Jeez
😭😭😭
I had a feeling you would spew this nonsense! Guess what! If I took a course on Udemy on Python programming, I would be light years ahead of someone who has never touched the language NUMBNUTS
