People seem to forget that muffet isn't actually a mini boss. She is a legit boss, in fact she is designed to be the first soul boss aka boss that changes your soul color so you can get used to the mechanic. Plus she is one of the bosses that feels more like a bullet hell rather than just a dodge RPG like sans. Plus her theme is great
Yea. Though, people technically say that Muffet is a mini boss due to the fact that Mettaton is the boss of Hotland/CORE, so even though Muffet IS a legit boss, she's still technically a mini boss aswell

She is a boss but due to being a Kickstarter reward she is kind of just shoehorned into a random area. I mean nothing about hotland would really imply there should be an anthropomorphic spider lady hanging around. I think that being so out of place is what makes her seem more like a mini boss.
