Listening to, and reading Daniel Edwards interviews and book, " Billy the Kid Autobiography", and listening to you on "Blood and Dust - The Real Billy the Kid AKA Brushy Bill Roberts", I'm kind of confused about one thing. I've heard that Brushy Bill said he didn't shoot Bell, but slipped his cuffs off and beat him with them, and another that says he said he shot him from the top of the stairs with a pistol he got from the outhouse. But yet another story that says he busted through the door to the armory at the top of the stairs and got a gun to shoot Bell. Which of those are correct? I've heard that Brushy Bill showed investigators where he attacked Bell and they lumenal tested the area and found blood in the exact spots where he said he killed Bell. I really enjoy your research, I've heard so much I never knew about the case, like all the law work he had done.

I believe there's definitive answer... but the most simplest conclusion is that Billy swiped Bells gun and shot em near the stairs. Unless there was an even bigger conspiracy and someone slipped Billy the gun to aid in his escape.

I always had a fascination with Billy, the first time I seen his picture in a McDonald's as a 6 year old boy. Couldn't help but gaze at that picture, feeling some kind of connection to it, drawn to it. Then as I got older, the more I would learn about that kid in that picture, and finally at 46, to finally have confirmation that what I felt in my heart, the truth that this man lived out a long life, forever remaining a true legend in my book as a man standing and fighting against corruption. Hopefully one day people will tap there heels together, dance around with joy feeling what true freedom really feels like, respecting and having compassion for our fellow man without the constant oppression by those in Government positions.

Hopefully I live long enough to make it out their one day, and all that there's now, is still their when I do. Just to stand where Billy the Kid once was. Would it be something to be a fly on the wall and witness this history play out. It's good to know sometimes good people do win in this corrupt world.
