What are some strange releases you've found online? let me know :^)
isn’t really strange as much as chilling/creepy but the song Taxonomies by Larry Hall is super calming but also hectic at the same time.
The pink album and blue album by 鬱 are both really haunting dead mallsoft. Very creepy.
No links to the albums!? Come on now!
just added em all! forgot to during the upload •____• enjoy !
The weirdest yet very interesting album I heard in the last few weeks is this one:
alcaprona.bandcamp.com/album/-
I don't know... It haunts me but also I like to listen to it here and there
now I have an impulse to make an alternative bandcamp account to make weird noise concept albums
ooo i might have to do the same lol
Earlier this year I thought "aw what the hell" and made a horror instrumental album with the theme in my head that every track is the soundtrack to a level in a horror video game
@@SOBEKCrocodileGod yoo sounds sick where did u upload it
That’s what my band will do one day.
@@SOBEKCrocodileGod please drop a link that sounds amazing
Bandcamp is musical anarchy at It's finest, lot of normal, weird stuff, It's really a jungle of strange stuff
yep! if you got any other albums that would fit the list let me know, will prob do a part 2!
@@PadChennington Have you heard some sewerslvt albums? I swear that those albums really sound like a sex and drug travel through a sewer in another galaxy
@@danielcordero4070 I'm glad someone knows about him he makes amazing break core
@@DrowningMoon Her, She*
@@PadChennington check out churchofshootingyourself.bandcamp.com/album/death-tv
Its a vary strange mix of vaporwave echo Jams and noise, you gotta see it
Hawaiian Black Metal. Not exactly weird, but entirely unconventional. Kūka'Ilimoku is the name of the project.
sounds dope!
Checked it out, sounds nice, thanks for the rec
AMERICAN BLACK METAL STARTED IN HAWAII. CHECK OUT VON.

its not really in the vaporwave/noise genre, but there’s an album called “We Got Hot And Died” by pretty swans and it’s a “concept album about being on fire” its pretty sick from what i remember
dayumn :O
its good but i dont see where the fire comes in
Yeah I wrote this while I was on fire
I absolutely love bandcamp's freedom of expression in the modern age. It's strange that i can find incredibly obscure albums that experiment to their full extent due to our current internet age.
beautifully said! definitely agree my friend.
You know I have grown to love Bandcamp, just the vast selection of not just vaporwave, ambient music electronic music, Vocaloid music, it's an amazing music distribution platform.
yep, it just feels like one gigantic expansive frontier . always loved the vibe
It’s poggers on another level
I spent like 5 minutes trying to find your channel because i kept typing "chad pennington."
that dang jets quarterback always ruin everything for me!
Lol same HAHAHA
Even worse since there is a Chad Pennington that is friends with a lot of people I know so I did the same thing
It took me a solid 15 minutes to understand that Chad Pennington was NOT this dude’s name. I’ve been reading it wrong for awhile now lmao thanks for this comment.
There's this group called kevin and the bikes, their theme is centered entirely on ed, edd, n eddy and their most famous release, dorkcore 101, is 101 tracks long of songs ranging from noisy, synth heavy puck rock, to lo-fi jam sessions that feel aimless and unfinished, and even a "podcast" about the band talking about kevin.
It's stupid, amateurish, juvenile as hell and i absolutely adore this album like a mother who loves her son who's been held back twice, steals from her to buy weed, and unironically visits 4chan.
Didn't know about this band checked them out and enjoyed it. I absolutely love finding obscure bands this is very epic lol.
Thank you
One of the coolest , weirdest , and most conceptual hip hop album I ever found that I never seen mentioned before is noir 2020 remastered by Ulises Valadez Contreras, originally released in 2014 under the alias man bites dog. The album builds like a nightmare in your head. Runs for 30 minutes without a moment of silence
Finding ulises/man bites dogs music is like when you first discover LUM
LUM deserves a mention from Pad in a video tbh
@@ThatGuy-ky2yf ugly mane definitely noteworthy and amazing but not very obscure at all
I know of this noise rock album based on spongebob called Bikini Bottom Improvisational Troupe for the Inevitable Decline and Closer of Chum World. It’s entirely free on CZcams. It uses Spongebob soundtrack and character trait samples along with this harsh glitched out noise, usually under large amounts of textures grating against the samples and the noise going in and out of each other. All of the album is under distorted footage of the Spongebob Movie Game which fits it perfectly.
Lol thats amazing
There's an album called "Shit Cut Into Thin Lines and Snorted Through a Bendy Straw" by Carbuncle and I don't even know what to say about it. It's a weird mix of genres and it's deranged and I've never seen anyone talk about it.
Here's the link: bafflingindustries.bandcamp.com/album/shit-cut-into-thin-lines-and-snorted-through-a-bendy-straw
I went all through "One Second: A Compilation Album" and it was like trying to select a notification sound for a new phone, where you literally play every single one of them on the list in the phone settings. It was weird, strange, extravagant, and I liked it
I love this series we need more episodes of weird albums on bandcamp!
can definitely do that for ya!
@@PadChennington ❤
You're just so amazing at analyzing music. Sure, all music makes me feel something, but you explain it in such an in depth, relatable way that helps me see the music in an amazing way. Thanks for these videos
On my couch, sunburnt and tired after a blazing hot day in Boston... lets see what Paddy got on this chill Sunday
Also HKE had over 80+ aliases
there's an album on geometric lullaby called COMPLETE MORON that always seems to slip by unmentioned from the label. It's hardvapor but it's one of the most brutal sounding albums I've listened to. combines the sounds of gabber, speedcore, breakcore, hardtechno, and noisecore all put into one
thats that one w the spooky skeleton boi on it right?
@@PadChennington yeah with the late night show like background
could be a marble column but not sure but def a blue skull with some vhs style wear on it
kinda wish I could play it on my radio show but it isn't fcc friendly at all
Earlier this year, I've attempted to make a sound collage album to which I would burn it on a few CDs and either leave them out in public or donate it to a thrift shop, but instead I released it on my bandcamp account. The album is called "《無題のプロジェクト》╏ ˵ ✪ ﹏ ✪ ˵ ╏" and it is split up in four parts.
link please
As much as I would love to share some weird bizarre and mysterious albums your channel is actually my window to all of this, that's why I'm always looking forward to your videos
Love u 💚
this is why I love bandcamp I love experimental music, it might be strange but it's strange enough to draw attention, which is kinda why people make experimental/avant-garde music.
Yesss! Also feel free to let me know of any other albums I should check out, def want to do a follow up to this video
Bandcamp is amazing. It has allowed me to realise my childhood dream of releasing full albums of music despite having gone thru some unfortunate situations in life that made pursuing a conventional music career not really on the cards. Making music and self recording on my ipad during my homelessness really saved me. I now have 13 albums over 2 aliases and a new one coming this week. I'm so pleased to be able to build a discography that I can look back over as that wasn't a possibility when I started making music.
I just love the way you interpret music in a way that I didn't even think was possible, especially music without lyrics. I wasn't really fond of music theory or the meaning that it holds, but ever since I found your channel I appreciate it a lit more, and started to listen to lyric-less music a lot more. Thank you! 💖
Your whole channel is why I fell in love with bandcamp not just vaporwave but those eerie, underground part of noise and ambient music as well. Props man 👍
This channel is damn awesome! One of my favorites on the entirety of YT. Especially love your work on noise stuff. Thanks!
One of the strangest albums I've ever listened to on bandcamp was called "Sex, Drugs, and Clownshoes: An Escape to the Slaughterhouses of ZzzkzzZ." Put together by the Interdimensional Clown Collective and featuring such talents as Giant Enemy Cancer Cult and God King Josiah, all of whom also have quite the bizarre portfolio of albums by this point, "Sex, Drugs, and Clownshoes," is a messy, vulgar, and bizarre journey through a dimension of endless orgies, anti-rhythmic dance parties, new drugs, and immortal bloodbaths put on by happy go lucky gibberish clowns messing with synths and FM radios. It feels like a funhouse mirror memory of partying. There's an accompanying short story in the info section of each track. Trigger warning for surreal gore and BDSM.
The PBS album sounds absolutely terrifying lol I cant wait to check it out
This is fascinating stuff man. I appreciate your videos. I like that you dive deep into the most obscure music on the web
Yo Pad, I always enjoy your descriptions of these albums, makes me feel hyped to check them out.
I think "Death Eternal Sleep" is spiritual heir of "I'll try living like this", but more darker and oddly.
I’m not trying to suck up here but I seriously can’t believe you don’t have a ton more subs. Your content is great.
I'd like to take this opportunity to thank to you, Pad, for giving me new albums to listen to and giving me new weird genres to listen to. Really loving it and I also really love your channel. Looking forward to new videos!
Dude your editing is insane! Keep up the great work.
thanks so much for watching !
Gonna have to give these albums a whirl later on! It's always so fascinating to see how weirdly left of field people can get with music production! Loved this one as usual, my dude!
thanks my man! def think ima make this a series.. so much stuff to explroe out ther elol
Aw, just what I needed on a Sunday afternoon. Some new Pad content!
enjoy! hope you're having a chill sunday
Great video once again Pad! Stuff like this is precisely why I've come back to Vaporwave and fallen in love with it all over again after losing interest in the scene a few years back.
Fell down a 15-minute rabbithole listening to the first release after hearing you talk about it, thank you! This is the reason I watch content like this.
I really just adore these videos. Keep up the good work!
Love your channel, man!! Cool episode, I added a few of these releases on my wishlist.
oh my gawd. That PBS album by Robustom is crazy! The "Sesamo Blues" is some dark shyt. The rest of his discog is pretty sweet too. Albums dedicated to Nick, CN, and Disney Channel
Lick Nand is my friend!!! Super fucking talented, it’s awesome to see her art recognized ❤️
I feel like I've just entered a modern art gallery and you're explaining what I need to know before I can really appreciate what's ahead of me. Thanks.
This is it. I’m in love with this channel now. You’ve always been great, but this was the video that hooked me. Thank you for the great content, and also, this better be a series
ryan, thank you so much dude!!! I definitely might make this into a series ;)
You really should do more videos about weird albums. You have a style and an atmosphere that is very dreamlike and works really well with the content you are discussing.
I’ve only just started using Bandcamp and I must say, along with this channel, it’s definitely introduced me to new music I never thought I’d listen to before
Just want you to know that i really love your contents and hope your channel will gains more recognition in the future ♥️
Thanks so much dude :) I’m hoping too! Thanks for sticking around
Nice to see One Second on this list. in hindsight I'm not super happy with my submission on it, but I'm glad to have been a part of something that big!
Instantly subbed. Loved the video!
16:12 hmmm. I know a lot of you guys probably don't know much about kpop but the girl in the album cover is f(x)'s sulli. She passed away due to su1c1d3 last year on October 14th. I find it,,,, strange? I guess that the album's name is "death eternal sleep" and the fact that it was released just a month before her passing. I don't even know why I'm making this comment really, I guess I just miss her a lot and found the coincidences jarring. She commited due to the fact that she received tons and tons of hate, yet her company didn't do much to help her out. The anniversary of her passing also happened just a couple days ago as well. Damn. I miss her so much. May she rest in peace :(
Man, I made that album. I'm so sad for her. I didn't even know that. Sorry for the loss
@@andreluiz2547 thank you. The universe can work in pretty weird ways sometimes. The album's pretty good tho! Keep up the good work :)))
Glad to have alot of new albums to check out 😎👍 great work again!
Thanks again! links in the description if ya need em :)
I contributed a few tracks to that Drake and Josh vaporwave album, even owned a cassette copy at one point. Definitely one of the high points of my senior year of high school.
Well if your not lying then you did a great job , I just recently found one of those cassettes
This is the video that introduced me to Mr. Robustom & the Public Broadcasting Service duology. I even managed to get a limited edition cassette of this album & it's sequel. So thank you Mr. Chennington for introducing me to my favorite Signalwave album.
Love, love, love these kinds of videos! :D
Thanks for making this one! I'm always on the hunt for the weird stuff from the dark side.
I hope this becomes a series. That DRAKE 遗事 JOSH / / JOSH 遗事 DRAKE is blowing my mind right now.
This is a great video, Pad! I love list style videos like this which give me new and interesting music to try out. You do a good job of choosing a variety of different projects, and talk for the right amount of time about each one.
One strange release I found deep on bandcamp, and which you might enjoy, is _Black Goat of the Woods_ by Black Mountain Transmitter. It's an album comprised of one 40-minute long dark ambient track, split into three sections like a movie (opening theme, the movie itself, and the closing credits music) with a heavy lovecraftian atmosphere. There's just something really otherworldy and beguiling about it. I'd definitely recommend checking it out!
I’ve been searching for some deep dive goodies lately so this is perfect 👌
enjoy rob! also ur vinyl collection is gettin wicked these days
Thanks brotha! She’s come a long way😁
You just put me inside of bandcamp, and oh boy... So much stuff that I would never dream to hear in my life
THANK YOU
yoooooo new vid! always enjoy these list type videos. keep up the great work!
Glad you like them! might make a part 2 to this too
Ngl, listening to you talk about albums is almost more enjoyable than listening to albums.
I find these videos so interesting. I was wondering if at some point in the future you would be open to making a video count down on albums featuring the genre dream pop? I think that would be super cool!
Man, I was waiting this video a lot. Time to hear weird music.
(Also, will you talk someday about RObert Fripp and his ambient music?)
Teenage Poetry by Heaven's Emperor has always been a favorite of mine. A grungy, expansive exploration of depression and self hatred. For an indie drone release, the sound is very full. The album feels super cinematic to me.
Ok, ive been binging a good amount of your videos and I love the positive vibes you are sending a sub genre and your eclectic taste in music has inspired me to venture out to stuff I never knew existed before binging your videos. I’m currently at work listening to lick Nand’s album you suggested in this video. This is utter madness and a fucking trip. Thank you for this suggestion! I feel like I’m tripping right now listening to this haha.
Another hitter man, great video!
Thanks doooood! More to come!
You NEED to review an album from how to disappear completely, the music that the artist produces is just amazing, and I think you would enjoy it a LOT. My favorite from the artist is How to disappear completely - seraphim.
Im in the 1 second comp!
ayyyy!!!!!
What was the conversation like when you were asked to be a part of this? Such a weird concept
You should definitely do a part 2 of this and the other video covering disturbing and creepy albums
Ended up following the linktree on wavekiller's page and found the links for a whole Brazillian bandcamp scene wavekiller's a part of. Glowing In Furs was definitely the standout out of all of them though. I checked out GIF's album "flashback" and while it's spotty in a few places it's honestly really out there stuff.
Cool new channel I just discovered. Great video, friend!
This helps me discover more albums on band camp because I really like Vaporwave/Ambient music. Or maybe drone. Either way it’s really interesting to learn more about these albums that I never hear of.
honestly the bass boosted teletubbies theme on public broadcasting system absolutely slaps
Xxxtentacion had an ep on bandcamp called "the red light district" it's a lost to with only 1 full song found the other half made, and it has a song called red that's about him bringing satan to earth and killing his own mother, anyone that heard the song feels it should stay lost but I don't feel it needs to be lost cause it's art and deserves to be heard cause it's not gonna hurt his main fan base being he has a cult following
@Rishabh Deb the majority of what I read said it was extremely dark if not scary but the meaning is cruel
@John Smith k kiddo
@@travistreadway3180 pretty sure ive found it on soundcloud vro. It is pretty scary, it literally stars off with a 911 call of a little girl speaking about her brother shooting the shit out of his head. Old X is pretty fucked up.
@@travistreadway3180 also, im sure you know begotten, am i hearing some x songs in his first album or am i tripping?
@@danieljr.santillan1605 turns out red is just red light lie 🤷🏽♂️
Thank u sm for this video! I will be adding them to my collection:)
you got it!
Lovelovelove bandcamp! Not related to the video, but it’s super great for exploring the independent music scene of your area
I want so much to hear you talking about Boards of Canada, in particular about their darkest album "Geogaddi". That album is an amazing music experience!
He talked about it on “Top 13 Disturbing Albums on the Internet”
Awesome video man, I'm looking forward to a follow up with more weird tracks. I've saved all of these!
More to come! happy listening my friend :)
Well, seems like you just introduced the waporwave scene to me and I'm pretty mush hyped. Anyone who can take a newbie by his hand..? It's overwhelming right now.
Public Broadcast Service scared me.
Thanks. Discovering some really good "new to me" things on BC.
I got a few recommendations of unconventional and really amazing music I'd like to recommend, although some you may have already heard before I just simply feel like it's good to mention them:
-Nicole Dollengagner. Making music since 2012 and got a record label deal with Grimes in 2017, Nicole has been someone I followed musically wise on Bandcamp since 2013 and has changed my life. She and I share the same birthday so it feels like it shouldn't be a surprise that her music often reflects the inner feelings of my very soul, but it can still catch me off guard to this day how wonderfully her vocals can express my inner feelings. She's mainly a dream/indie pop musician but her vocals and lyrics certainly make her stand out other then her guitar and basic sounds she uses in her early years. From masturbation to eating disorders, Nicole beautifully illustrates everyday struggles with her music and sheds light on things we may consider disgusting to make it suddenly seem tragically beautiful. With her record label to Grimes her music has evolved to have a much more crunchier and aggressive instruments used like 80s style guitars and drums, beautifully contradicting her sweet vocals. Every single track that Nicole has it worth listening to if you ever have the time to do so.
-Silke F. This is a obscure CZcams artist that has been in and out of the scrutinizing eye of the media a few times over the years, but this is a artist that always seems to be releasing something new every week. Despite this though, it seems that her releases are quite repetitive, and is just continuations or re-mixes of original songs she's already made. A artist who struggles with severe ADHD, a lot of Slike F's music includes harsh and fast paced instrumentals that can feel like a huge migraine on th ears for people who aren't neurotypical. However once you give her music a chance, you can find that her music can be highly clearing of your energy, and can be a wonderful musical cleansing palette. This along with her reptilian conspiracies about herself makes her CZcams channel one hell of a ride to experience, as she's constantly either scrutinizing the media's commentary of her and her music, claiming to leave and then returning with new music anyway, and giving music that challenges your perception of what music can be all at once.
-Lesbians On Ecstasy. This is a band very recently discovered, and has quickly become a top favorite of mine for the unconventional gay vibes the band holds alone. Belonging into the subculture of punk called queercore, this band has a very electronic meets early 2000s rock feel that has very sultry tones and vocals from the lead artist that may leave you questioning your sexuality if you don't believe you're anything close to being a lesbian. Lesbians On Ecstasy is a fantastic band that captures the feeling of underground queer culture quite beautifully, and is quite a treat to listen to whenever you're in the mood for gay shit.
Will there be a part 2? I love this
Thank you for upload this video!! 👍👍
God damn, I've literally just discovered you, and my word this video spoke to me. This is absolutely my shit, and I will be here to stay. Consider me subscribed, and I'll be on the lookout for stuff on Bandcamp to suggest in the future.
Bro, you should check out Fort Thunder. Its a group of artists who rented out this old mill in Rohde island and just decided to do whatever they wanted in there. They create art, graphic novels, even did wrestling and some great noise music. One of the most notable acts coming out of there was Lightning Bolt, legendary for their loud distorted bass and crazy drums. I think the place is very interesting and I think that it would be a great topic for your channel
Hi, I discovered your channel while searching for samples, Obscure music has always caught my interest. I stumbled on an artist by the name of mellowdna I am curious to know what you think of his work. A couple of my favorites. Falling skies, the play. Keep doing what you do more of these unknowns need to be heard .
yknow, id really like to see your take on james ferraro, since hes even done things like ringtones for a museum, or like that movie rapture adrenaline, if nkt him then the duo bull of heaven would be a cool video as well
"UNAPOLOGETIC LITTLE BITCH" by HOT STEW
trust me you've never heard anything quite like it, also his newer album is fun.
Rough hewn and often tongue-in-cheek but undeniably funky.
Okay yeah, this is weird. I can't tell if I dig it or not.
"endless. decend." by Sorrow 1984 (released by Geometric Lullaby) is probably my favorite buried gem I've found so far. It has a narrative that just flows water-like throughout each track. Its entrancing.
I literally clicked the video because i thought that was deaths dynamic shroud lol
i love bandcamp. my favourite discovery this week is a lofi screamo album called "your arms are my cocoon". doesn't sound like it would work but it does!
Been waiting for this one!
:)
I know that it makes more sense for sites like Bandcamp to push popular releases, or albums that the algorithm predicts you're going to buy, but sometimes I like to just pick a genre, hit "most recent" and see what comes up.
Got the PBS album on your recomendation. Thank you for this video.
Nice! Enjoy :^) happy listening!
Pervasive Feral Visions by Atomiste.
This is a 6 hours "drone opera" by french ambient musician Atomiste.
I don't know how to describe it.
i was waaaiting for this video now i can finally go to bed after i watch it :'D
*_h a p p y l i s t e n i n g !_*
Just subbed love your content
i’ve found a super mysterious album available on spotify that i made like a whole essay about, it features large bouts of silence strangely enough
Drop a link my man
The one second album makes me think of switching through a bunch of radio stations in your car, trying to find a good song, but you can't find anything, so you search through all these different stations until it sounds...well, like that album.
Thank you Pad for always giving me great things. I found everywhere at the end of time thanks to you. Please make a "The Caretaker" video, i want more creepy, strange, gimmicky music videos from you.
coming very, very soon my friend :)

@@PadChennington They are all there. Thank you!
There was a collective called Psalmus Diuersae that was pretty neat, their bandcamp was a shapeshifting monster. Track titles and album art would change on a whim. They seem to be defunct now but there's an archive out there for those willing to look. Great Stuff
