You're wrong about Hawk. Rodney Mullen is the real genius most tricks are based upon. Hawk is a legend and pioneer but more for his commercializing of the field, than he is "the goat".

I'm spanish and I think Fernando is the GOAT, but I like Hamilton, I don't understand why so many spanish hate him, but he had no fault for what his team did in 2007, so there is no reason for hate in my opinion. He is one of the greatest of the sport many of us love so he doesn't deserve all the hate he gets

@@soccerscrub0922 just my opinion, I think that when he didn't have the best car in 2010 or 2012, and he was able to fight for the championship till the last race, when other GOATS like Schumacher or Hamilton have been there with a very dominant car. In my opinion when he has a good car he is always going to fight for the tittle, but he can also fight for it when he hasn't the best car, and you rarely see him making mistakes so for me he is the most complete driver ever

People don’t like dominance unless it’s a person or team they support, they also don’t like people like Lewis who use his platform to speak of things that he believes in, they think he should just stick to his sport and not have an opinion on anything.
I’m a massive Lewis fan, he’s one of the greatest, he’s unapologetically himself and ultimately he stands for what he believes in.

Okay guys I love you boys- and I try not comment but you have missed one that is bigger than the person on the list for his sport and arguably makes the top 5 of all time (should be deffs in the top 10) I need to comment - I apologise in advance
This person is the great Shane Keith Warne- a man that change cricket forever and turned the dying art of leg spin into a world wide dream for kids that play cricket-
Adore by the world of his sport and as big as Sachin in India (correct the only guy that stacks up to his popularity over there thanks to his ipl work late in his career)
This is someone when you ask any cricketing or sports analyst goes straight to the top of the list when they think of the best cricketer of all time.
His knowledge on the game second to none proven by his short work in commentary and his world wide admiration and effect on the game was proven by the out pour of grief at his passing recently and is truly missed by every playing nation
This is a man that has proven yet again he didn’t know how to lose (amazing Adelaide in 2006- numours times in the ashes in 2005 to keep Australia alive), Thus meaning he had the elite mentality that all the top 10 posses
Lastly viewing public loved his open relationship with the media and that we could enjoy his controversial stories but also his ability to talk to the younger generation of the game
Boys being English you should be ashamed you missed this one considering the amount of times your own nation has paid homage to this persons legacy! Long live the king of spin - a man that probably would of been knighted later in his life
A bit of it is down to his personality, but most of it is probably down to how dull the sport was through that whole period where Seb and Lewis and now Max are winning all their titles where the championship is pretty much over or between two teammates even before the championship is half way done.

Lewis Hamilton is possibly the greatest British sportsman of all time. He’s one of the all time great F1 drivers - right up there with Fangio, Clark, Senna, and Schumacher. I also love that he is just himself.
People are more likely to complain than to praise.

Lewis Hamilton has transcended F1, he isn’t just a driver like the rest of them, he’s a philanthropist, fashion icon, public figure etc. That doesn’t make him bigger or better than the sport but he’s known now for more than the sport, which is more than the other drivers
He rarely takes part in the stuff all the other drivers do. Not taking part in the pre race stuff, especially at Silverstone last year when half the fans were there supporting him. He acts like hes better than F1 and blames it on his skin colour when people call him out.

People don't have the issue with Hamilton because of his brilliance as a driver and sports person, and this applies to all people and the higher up the totem pole you are the more you expose yourself to public life. Keep your mouth shut and your opinions to yourself and don't lecture the public about how to live their life.
Don't lecture about the environment, don't lecture about politics. If you have to have a public profile, keep it to your skill set, and your fans will love you more.

A lot of the dislike for Hamilton comes from racist individuals who see F1 as a white elitist sport. He’s been subject to racist abuse his whole life which only magnifies his achievements. The fact he’s the only black driver on the grid, still to this day speaks volumes. And racist individuals don’t like it and will show their true colours. I don’t buy the celebrity life style as the reason for the dislike, that is rubbish. Most footballers live that lifestyle. The problem is much deeper and much more serious, unfortunately.

Many of us care about the environment yet drive cars, fly in planes, eat food from abroad etc etc. F1 cars in the grand scheme of things are MINUTE in terms of the amount of emissions etc, stopping it won't make a dent in global warming. Lewis knows this, and he knows the Formula E is not the answer.
