This might have been the last day of their Love Yourself/Speak Yourself tour.
It was the last concert of the tour, which had been 14 months. They were planning another tour soon but covid struck and it had to be canceled. When I see this song and know what's coming, I get really, really sad.
Fyi...Mikrokosmos is one of the songs chosen by NASA to accompany the space mission. The three songs are Mikrokosmos, 134340 from BTS and Moonchild from Rm Bts 🐨💜

In RM's words, concerts are moments of Communion. That's what they feel when they're face to face with ARMY, especially, towards the end of their concerts, it's "army time" they change their fancy costumes and wear more comfy clothes, they deliver heartfelt speeches and sing army dedicated songs. And this, specifically, was the last concert of a two year world tour, so of course it was really emotional for them, and for us.

You see the word "FESTA" there. That is the time when BTS celebrate the anniversary of their debut. They put out videos and give ARMY songs for the celebration. That clip was from the last day of their Love Yourself/Speak Yourself tours. It was the last tour they had before the pandemic hit. The last shows in their tours tend to be very emotional. With this tour especially they had been doing it for almost 2 years. They kept refining it and adding to it so this was close to their hearts and it was sad and happy to have it end.

Also, Mikrokosmos is a song specifically written for ARMY, and those tend to make them more emotional too.

This is an emotional song for them and us. Each KPop group has their own version of a light stick. In BTS early years they had few fans and when they performed on shows with other groups, the fans of other groups would deliberately turn of their light sticks to not support them, BTS call it the black wave - the wave of darness that happened as all those lights went out. But slowly, as ARMY grew a small number of lights, ARMY bombs, started to shine like stars in the darkness and BTS called it the start of their Mikrocosmos, small galaxy. They were no longer alone. So this is song is really to say thank you to ARMY and let us know how much they love and appreciate us, and welcome us as part of their Mikrocosmos. I hope I described my interpretation well enough. It was the last show of the tour so they were extra emotional. But they are often emotional on stage. If you listen to their song Young Forever and read the lyrics, you will probably get a better idea why.
Not sure if you've already been told how Amazing the Brazilian Army is. I watched a video of one of BTS's concerts in Brazil. The Brazilian fans knew all the words to all the songs. In Korean ! It blew my mind! You could hear them OUTSIDE the stadium! They are So enthusiastic. It's beautiful how music can bring people together. I haven't been to aBTS concert yet. I became Army after their hiatus had already been announced 😔. But I'm getting ready for their return in 2025. I'm I'm so excited for that. I would love to attend one of their concerts in Brazil. I know it would be an incredible experience 💜

MIKROKOSMOS is such a beautiful song. Both BTS x ARMYs get really emotional as you can see here. That's because it's an emotional song itself plus it's the end of the concert plus the connection between BTS x ARMY is unmatched to a certain extent. For me, I completely got so emotional and balled my eyes out 😭. Yes, music is very powerful and BTS completely understand that. Stan a group that stan you back. ARMYs know. 💜
That performance was a Seoul concert in 2019, and after the world tour was canceled due to the coronavirus in 2020, this video was posted on BTS' official channel to express the hope that they will be able to meet at a concert in 2021 during the Festa period in June.
They are always emotional when they leave Army. It happens all their concerts at the end. Normally fans are the ones who cry at the end. But in BTS concerts both artists and the fans cries not want to leave each other. That is why BTS are totally different than other artists

This was the last song of their tour 2019. They planned a world tour in 2020, but Covid destroyed it all. It almost seemed, that they had a feeling, that this was their last live song with an audience for quite some years.
Seoul is pronounced just like soul. (sole) Seoul is the capital city of South Korea. This is a about BTS and ARMY. This was the last song of the concert and it was in Seoul South Korea so it was a very emotional home concert for them.

BTS are great at sharing emotions through their music, especially when they perform live - but it takes some empathy and vulnerability to accept those emotions on the audience's side (and especially just through the words, without lyric translation). So thank you for being vulnerable with BTS music and sharing it with us! I bet once you read the lyrics for this song it will hit you even harder :)

It was the last song of the last day of their Love Yourself/speak yourself tour in 2019, after near 2 years of touring, so yes, they were very emotional, saying goodby to their fans for a while. They were supposed to go again on a world tour in Marsh 2020 with Map of the soul, but the covid 19 striked... This clip was uploaded for the 2021 Festa (kind of a week of anniversary celebration between BTS and Army, in June every year, with all sort of game, photoshoot, special performances, new song ) and... well , I think all the Army were crying and smiling at this moment ! The luckiest one have to wait another long year before seing them in person in concert, in Korea and USA. And for the other not so lucky, as me, we are still waiting for them to comeback after the military and hopefully, going on a big world tour in 2026.
Mikrocosmos is such a beautful and meaningful song, of one my personal best comfort song (with zero o'colck by the vocal line, and Serendipity by Jimin)

This is their last stop for their Speak Yourself: Love Yourself concert tour in 2019 at the Jamsil Sports Arena, the biggest Stadium for 70k in Seoul. It was a full house concert.
The Tour began for a 2-night concert in that same arena and ended with finale of 3 nights on. All BTS concerts are sold out in barely 90hours.
Due to public demand, BTS extended the show to 3 nights to accommodate their fans. This is their last night so it was an emotional moment for the Boys, the feeling of gratitude was overwhelming to them.
By this time, they were already preparing for their next comeback Album (Map of the Soul 7) and Concert Tour in 2020 which was canceled due to pandemic.
Even during their tour, BTS' would already be working on their next come back project in between shows. That is how hard working and passionate they are. Hence, the Black Swan and "ON".
Their supposed Tour in 2020 which were to start in Seoul for 2 nights and the in USA were all sold out but was canceled due to the pandemic. And, most ARMY did not refund their tickets instead donated their tickets to help in various organizations that BTS' supports in delivering help and relief goods during the pandemic.
BTS donated and extended a substantial amount of help to the concert security, staff and crew both in Seoul and in the US who were supposed to help their company mount their supposed upcoming 2020 Concert Tour.
BTS started collaborating with Unicef in 2017 but it was only announced later in 2018 where BTS was invited to speak in the the United Nation's. 3% of the proceeds of The Speak Yourself:Love Yourself were donated to Unicef to help Kids who were victims of human rights abuses and violations. And, 100% of net proceeds of the merch being sold out during that tour were also donate to Unicef, not yo mention that 1% of the gross sales of their Album Love Yourself (the last one) are being donated to Unicef to date.

It will be Festa time again soon. BTS debut was on 13-June,2013. (Fun fact, on Jimin’s album Face, on the CD, there is a hidden track called Letter which is for Army. After the last song on the album finishes there is silence until the 6min 13sec (June 13th) mark, when the song Letter starts. There is also a video of him singing this live, if you want to watch it)
Anyway, the week leading up to the anniversary date is called Festa, and BTS releases a lot of content for Army then.
Not sure what will happen this year because they are in the military now, but I wouldn’t be surprised if they have prepared content for us in advance.
Jin will be back for this Festa !! I can see him being VJ Jin again and doing a live showcasing all the so far unreleased clips from the other members that they've prepared for Festa 24... They are so well organised even though they're mostly still in the military there will be content !

When you’re unsure about who the members are, identify them by their voices. For example, you will know V by his deep singing baritone voice. You will recognize Suga when he starts rap singing or straight out just raps fast like the other two rappers in the group who are RM and J-hope. Jungkook is the one that sings often in BTS and adlibs and has really smooth singing voice. Jin is the one who sings and belts the high notes. Jimin has a high soft tone to his voice.
BTS get very emotional they love army slot and you see the crowd there so singing there hearts out with them.an been too 2 of there concerts you can feel the love.Im60 see slot of bands rock pop but BTS has my heart.

The guys are pointing to the sky and commenting about drones which are making different shapes, including a globe (world map), the moon, and the BTS logo (which reversed, is a logo they made for ARMY). Don't worry, you will get the names eventually. As someone else said, the hair colors change😀 The Festa 2021 release "BTS Room Live" shows them singing clips of maybe 6 or 7 B-sides from their albums and gives a good sample of their voices and personalities. The Tiny Desk (Home) Concert from 2020 (NPR music, CZcams) is just 3 songs but also showcases their different voices and personalities. Both of those have English subtitles and don't get blurred out or blocked on CZcams, at least in the United States. 💜

A tip for remembering who is who- mostly they use different colored mics. Jungkook purple, Jin pink, V green, Suga black, RM blue, J-Hope red, and Jimin gold.
That's not always the case, sometimes their mics will all be the same color. But often their in-ears and mics are color-coded.

I am newish too but I've seen many people recommend doolset translations for BTS songs as the best because they also put in cultural notes and ties to other songs that missed by straight translations. Welcome baby Army! Borahae! (Borahae is a made-up Korean word, created by V when their fans at a concert had decorated their light sticks with purple (clip on CZcams is available of this moment). It means, "I purple you", and ARMY and BTS say this to each other as a term of endearment.)💜

It can depend on what they say before their final song during their final comments. Sometimes they get very emotional and so going into the final song, they look/feel a bit somber. There is another live version that they sang at the Gyeonghoeru Pavillion in Gyeongbokgung Palace (a heritage site in Seoul). They did "Idol" at the Palace and "Mikrokosmos at the Pavillion for The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon. I believe the lyrics are there for those performances.

Acho que esse era um dos últimos shows da tour que Love yoursel: Speak yourself, foi uma tour deles que durou praticamento dois anos, contando com três albuns, foi uma trajetória de 3 anos ao todo, acho que por isso eles estavam um pouco triste, emotivos, e também era a ultima música do show. Esse video saiu durante a pandemia em 2021, foi um video especial para comemorar o aniversario de 8 anos do grupo, como era pandemia eles estavam a cerca de 1 ano sem fazer show, sem ver o fãs pessoalmente.

Geralmente eles finalizam o show com essa música, aqui no Brasil não foi diferente. Além do choro, eles não queriam ir embora de jeito nenhum, ficaram enrolando no palco, vale a pena ver. I want to add that even though the end of their concerts are always emotional, they were planning a new album and world tour (this concert was October 2019). And they were planning to go to the military after that tour, so I know all of that was on their minds at that time. Had everything gone to plan, we would’ve gotten all the guys back from the military in late 2022. But…the pandemic screwed up a lot of things. Still, they gave us some really happy memories despite that pandemic.

Depois eles preparam outra grande turne, mas foi adiada e depois cancelada em virtude da pandemia. I understand what you’re saying about not needing to understand the lyrics, you can get the vibe by just listening to the sound.
I’m always bit exasperated by people who if they are hearing a song that’s in another language, and I ask them if they like it, their response is ‘I can’t understand what they’re saying’. What’s that got to do with it? I asked if you like the song/ music. But some people use a different language as an excuse to not give sthg different a go. People tend to like their little boxes.

Esse foi o último show da primeira grande turnê deles passando por estádios ao redor do mundo eles estavam muito emocionados. Já as legendas é porque eles deveriam iniciar outra turnê em 2020, seria a última antes deles entrarem no serviço militar, mas veio a pandemia e a turnê foi cancelada. This song is a celebration of BTS' relationship with ARMY, and how they look at all the ARMY lights in the audience, think of all the city lights and the bedroom windows lit and shining out into the night while ARMYs at home are also thinking about BTS and their music, and they ALWAYS get emotional. The tears are also because they love performing, the relationship with an ARMY audience is symbiotic, and yet they have to leave.
We are often shown clips of them coming off stage, and they are often exhausted, but still singing.
Once you have heard this song once, and have understood the lyrics once, you don;t need to understand each word, because the music and performance are so powerful. Like RM said, BTS and ARMY form our own small universe.

Hi, I am back. Good reaction. ty. U pronounced Seoul wrong and the name of the song is pronounced a different way. Many get the name of the song wrong. Jimin Fallon says it right. V is not Suga u were off. So thrilled you finally heard/saw this. So beautiful right. I love this song too. My Fav song is Your Eyes Tell (Japanese OST) but this was a fab performance. They go big our guys. =0] Also, check out Dear Class 2020. That performance was my first for this song and it's always a wow. fav stage for me for "Mikrokosmos" is MMA 2019. it's really cool. Not sure if u saw it already. During the Speak Yourself tour, “Mikrokosmos” always came after BTS' ending ments, making it an emotional song. Even with the sadness attached to “Mikrokosmos” due to it being the last song in the Speak Yourself set, at its heart “Mikrokosmos” is a love song from BTS to ARMY.

Mikrokosmos is a play on the ancient Greek philosophy of "microcosms", the idea that every person is living in their own little universe. The song gives us courage and reminds us that, although we may seem small in the grand scheme of things, our existence-our universe-matters. By shining brightly in our own universe, we contribute to the shine of the much bigger universe-the one that unites us all.

Mikrokosmos has three main keywords: shine, dream, smile.
Shine is about how every person has their own stars, how everyone can be their own light instead of the amount of light depending on other people (meaning that you shouldn’t depend on others to change your emotions.) Dream is about how every person can dream their own dreams instead of trying to follow other people’s dreams. Smile is BTS asking ARMY to smile.
Mikrokosmos has meaningful and comforting lyrics, that warm your heart and make you fall in love with yourself. I was unable to love myself for a long time because I thought if others loved you that would be enough but I was wrong. Those seven beautiful human beings taught me step by step every day to accept my flaws and get over with the idea of achieving perfection. My pain was not gone entirely but it was definitely reducing. It is still there, but today I can proudly say that I Love Myself 💜✨

It’s a common topic in bts’s songs 💜 and that’s another reason why I love yoongi so much, because he also tells us that it’s okay sometimes not to shine. Not to dream. Just to stay here, hang in there if you struggle, not to give up because eventually you’ll find yourself able to shine again. Or bathe in the light of others if you not. So wholesome.

Mikrokosmos in Greek literally means "little world/universe" and this idea of a microcosm relies on the philosophical concept that each person is their own small universe in a way that reflects the wider order of the universe.
And when BTS talks about lights/stars in the lyrics, they're both referencing the stars of the kosmos (of the night sky/the universe) and also I believe the sea of lights at their concerts that look so much like stars in the night. Each little light from an ARMY bomb represents a person who is a whole world unto themself.
I studied Ancient Greek for years, so between Mikrokosmos and Dionysus I nerded out quite a bit over this album
