Everytime you disconnect the battery, you’ll have to take dash apart and redo radio settings. There should be a kit for fords with a vertical touchscreen that replaces all the HVAC controls and does them through the touchscreen

More Boost lol the cheaper way is to buy a head unit that has Apple Play and just plug your phone in. And changing battery isn’t the issue, whenever doing any electrical modifications you should always disconnect negative terminal... just saying lol

Couple things, glue probably wont hold up as others have stated. Also the radio usb output wont keep the iPad charged 9 times out of 10. It doesnt put out enough amps to charge while being used. Wire a 12v socket behind dash to power the ipad. I'm happy to put a soundman kit into the dash if you wanna get the kit and a trim bezel so you can still access the radio and remove ipad for the sketchier road trips
If you have a 2011-2014 f150 and have sync u can do the same thing just buy the kit online idk the guy that sells it but it's super clean. Just connect the iPad through Bluetooth and it's mint keep all the normal steering wheel buttons too
That looks super good! only thing that concerns me is how kinked the charger cable is at 9:01 It may cause charging issues in the future. Also you should get your windows tinted so nobody see's that and breaks your window for the ipad a lot of people make them removable so it doesnt get stolen
My guy, SoundManCA is a CZcamsr that makes these kits so much more seamless and gives you the ability to take the iPad in and out. He also makes them for people too if they don't have the patience or skill to work with Bondoglass or epoxy. The glue will melt and the iPad is going to hit critical temperature especially since you are down in Florida. As a tech repair guy, I give your iPad at least 2 months before the screen fails or the battery dies due to over heating. Potential fire hazard. Go visit SoundManCA's dash mod video for his F150 and check out his website. You will learn something.

You should have gone with an aftermarket eonon headunit, I got one in my car and I couldn't be happier, you can watch CZcams and check your AFRs and stuff with that head unit as well and they're pretty fast
You know they have kits you can buy to turn the iPad into a radio and they come with mounts. Also comes with cords to pull up sensors. I think it just plugs into obd. Also the mounts on the radio should be adjustable. You should be able to sink the radio back.
Judah garage does a I pad install in his Ford f250 he does it were your controls are under your radio go checking out a little late but he does it very clean
Chris, I’m disappointed you didn’t research this before hand. You even had a few days after you bought the iPad before you installed it. They make dash kits all over for these trucks.

If you use assistive touch you can turn the volume up from there, it's somewhere in the settings.
You also couldve got a hdmi adapter for the kenwood to plug into the rear and stream youtube off your phone

You can actually program the assistive touch button to only be the lock button. That way you can just do three clicks and then one click and it’s off

That button is the EEBF. Basically a jake brake, sure. Only use it while pulling a loaded trailer. Otherwise you're gonna upset your truck.
