@gearhead406 go by a low mile f350 dually and sell it to him for a good deal bet you can't find one because the price of vehicles have gone way up even with high millage they are over priced and it's not cobbling things together when it's the same drive train just reliable and he knows the maintince records on it and that's been done it's way smarter this way then buying a used truck like Taylor Ray did and when it broke down they told him to bad good luck even with a warranty.

Dude, that truck is a shed, walk away from it. You can see it's not been looked after, all the bearings, joints, chassis, bushes etc has the same mileage on it as the bits you're changing, it's a money pit and you'll regret it. Buy cheap buy twice.
The biggest thing is the content. They make their money off the content that they make.
No matter what vehicle you buy or own moving parts go out weither it's his truck now or the dully

Instead of doing a bunch of paint work this would be the perfect opportunity to straighten out the bodywork and then do a complete wrap maybe with a mint livery. It’s good marketing especially when you’re at events.

When Chris started hanging out with Tommy I got bad feelings and I’m having those feelings about this deal. Not about Trevor as a person but this deal in general maybe I’m not seeing 100% how much he’ll make off the content but wouldn’t it just have been easier to frame swap and bed swap the trucks and ruddy just keep his truck. Like that makes way more sense imo
I’m a truck guy so I especially love the truck content. Do I think you should buy a newer truck… Yes, but that’s not really my business. I just think your truck is your workhorse and it helps you make money. Just based on necessity and how much you use it I’d be putting my money towards a nice truck. I’d sell the M2 and maybe even the Colorado. I hope this works out in your favor though. If I could give you any advice it be to upgrade and replace as much as you can while the engine is out. If it’s hard to get to do it now.

Get the truck tuned and deleted, you will get a lot better fuel mileage and that 6.7 will run a lot happier. Worth the money, I would do that before anything on that truck
Trevor is right about the POR15. it has a chemical in it that uses the rust to help create adhesion to the metal while converting the rust that is there. it will also skim dry in roughly 5 minutes if you open the can and leave the lid off ruining the whole can

The bed prices are making my head hurt, I just had to put a bed floor in my 250 because it was cheaper than buying a bed, a work truck white long bed goes for about 2500 here with minimal to rust. That gray bed you can get probably 2800 for no problem up in the north east. Hell even the extremely beat one is probably 13 1400. I just went through the exact process Rudnick is going through with my 2011 that I bought recently. It’s a lot of time money and headaches but at the end of the day once you get everything done you know it’s done and you have full confidence in your vehicle, and ridiculously high payment, not hanging over your head
Bro please just finance a truck under your business, building your own shit is cool but it’s truly not worth getting stuck on the side of the road a stock truck that’s tastefully modified will never leave you stranded or Matt stranded and it’s a tax write off for the business it’ll be worth it

I've had a few 6.7's and if you wanna wake that thing up yank the factory exhaust system and get a decent aftermarket system it will feel like a completely different truck.
If you’re planning on doing bedliner at some point, I’d say forget the plastic rail covers and just do bedliner on the rails along with the inside of the bed. Would be much more durable and look nice

Depends on weight. Cdl is required for more than 26,500 lbs. The wedge with mitatas on it prob fine. Deff questionable tho. But too be fair theirs enclosed with 3500s that weigh much more and never get bothered
@@zmohan69 Goes off what it’s rated for not the actual weight on it. Trucks probably 11.5 to 14k gvw the trailer is definitely rated for more. If they add up to over 26,001lbs cdl is required. Say you have 14k truck and 14k trailer even if it’s empty the gvws combined is what they look at.

It would be best if you did all the upgrades now or no offense but youll probably never do them on your own you gotta do the bags at minimum but imo you should get new shocks and do the fuel tank upgrade maybe even a fass filter system to keep any garbage out of the new engine from fuel. Maybe if not done already do cooling upgrades for the transmission and engine oil you want your truck to be there when you need it to be.
Why don’t you just take your cab from your truck and put it on the new truck because your cab is clean and perfect?

Por15 is amazing stuff. If you clean the lid really well you can re use it but you have to clean it spotless
Por15 is good stuff. Used it on my entire 240s frame and floor pan lol Pro tip is if you dont use the entire can, clean the lid and put a piece of cling wrap over before closing it. Otherwise the excess paint drys and seals the can shut lol

Stop using a small wire wheel on a drill for big projects like that. Get a knotted cup wheel on an angle grinder and go to town, it's much faster. Of course, sand blaster is much better but it also makes a huge mess.

everyone is saying the truck is a POS. Here in Wisconsin that POS bed would've gone for 1200+ since it's rust free and that truck is CLEAN. Bring the bed to the Midwest to sell. It makes complete sense. I have a huge 3 car wedge that I couldn’t use my f250 for due to short bed. So I needed a long bed and considering we will be towing 3 cars it should be a dually. With the economy being what it is currently it’s very hard to want to commit to a long term loan. This deal may have a lot of work involved but the entire truck is going to cost me sub 5k with fixing all the bs with it and I will have a better packaged truck and when it’s done less damage then mine. Trucks aren’t cheap and I enjoy the learning experience along the way. Especially when I have some one knowledgeable around like Trevor.
If I were you Ruddy buy a cp3 conversion for the truck if there is one. With the cp4.2 fuel pumps they will blow up if you don't use fuel additives or really take care of the fuel system. When they blow up it will take out the whole fuel system, put aluminum shavings all through the fuel system. You would have to clean everything fuel touches. If a dealership or shop would charge 10 to 20 grand to clean it and replace all the necessary parts.

Can you start using a lanolin based product like pb blaster surface shield, I know some people will say to use por15 but it is not a good product long term to prevent rust.

To preserve the can so it doesn’t all harden take plastic wrap from the kitchen and put it over the lid opening and down far enough that the P.o.r. Doesn’t have air touching it if that makes sense
This is great for content but realistically you should've just got another truck that was already together or duallly swapped yours that would've been much easier
@chris I got a idea for the wedge. What if you weld a light curved aluminum panel at the front of the wedge to create a more aerodynamic or slip stream to get better gas mileage 😅. Idk worth a shot to say it lol
