Hi lovelies!
Hope you are having a good week?
I have been on an adventure with a difference last week and I've made a little video for you.
DYU reached out to me and asked if I would like to review one of their fantastic ebikes, and of course, how could I refuse?
The though of whizzing effortlessly along country lanes, with the wind in my hair and think of all that much needed street cred! LOL
So, I agreed and last weekend, I took the little bike out on two days, all weekend, to put the bike to the test!
Day one, I went to the Peak District and rode along the beautiful picturesque Tissington Trail and was lucky to time it, so I saw the Well Dressing annual event too!
Day Two was a local adventure, cycling along the Trent tow path and stopping off at Holme Pierrepoint water sports centre. White water rapids anyone???
So, the ebike that I chose was the DYU A1F city ebike, and the link for more information is below, this ebike is so popular it has just sold out but will be back in stock from 30th May 2024 if you fancy one, check out the links below
s.zbanx.com/r/2aVxgqa5MmRS
If you prefer a more comfortable riding experience, you can choose between these two bicycles (with discount codes included), A5 and C6, both equipped with suspension forks.
A5(£549): s.zbanx.com/r/b995bdETgRfX
C6(£649 ): s.zbanx.com/r/EyNHu0ZwvWHi
Now, although DYU kindly gifted me this ebike, my review will be an honest one, my opinions and views on how good this bike really is. In this video I give you a full explanation of all the features and show you how easily it packs down and sets up, as well as showing you footage of me using the bike across all sorts of terrains on location!
The main cool features of the A1f ebike are as follows
Completely foldable
Weighs only 21.2kg
Cruise control
Remote alarm and locking
Rear luggage rack
Disc Brakes and brake light
I had a great time putting this little bike through its paces, check out how I got on and let me know in the comments if you own an ebike, what you think to this one and if you have any questions about the video or the product.
L xx
So what do you think ? Let me know in the comments...would you ever ride an ebike? Thank you for watching this little video...Currently I am taking a few days break and hopefully planning some good outdoor stuff in the coming weeks and months... See you on the next adventure!!! L xx
There are many options for carrying your gear on a bike and keeping the gear amount and weight down is tricky but essential- a handlebar bag and 2 panniers is best.
Worst is a pack on your back, you will get hot and sweaty and when you stop cold or cool winds will make that sweaty chill your core area - not good.
I use right back kitchen and bathroom with first aid kit, left is bedroom and tent/shelter, front clothes.
Nice bike you don't need a car now i got rid of my car cycle everywhere now and more money in my pocket and great exercise.
@@seanoreilly6774 need my car...essential for work. But yes I know what u mean
@AdventuresWithLilu that's what we all think we can't do without a car once you get used to it i love cycling hope to see you out on the bike more you did a great review.
@@seanoreilly6774 no no I literally need my car for my job lol
Love thevtissi gto. Trail..x

Looks like a well built piece of equipment giving a comfortable, and effortless, ride. Cheers. Ken
Its a nice little bike yes I'm pleased with it 😊
Nice little bike, interesting video, lovely countryside. Thank you.
Glad you enjoyed it
I need pedal assist to get me through my life! You sold me!
🤣🤣🤣
great vlog, very honest. and looking great,,
I appreciate that!
@@AdventuresWithLilu your welcome...❤
looking forward to your next vlog. ❤
You're doing such a great job with your channel. I'm almost exactly on the other side of the planet and enjoy seeing the UK countryside and the variety in your vids. Also love your great attitude and a bit of humour thrown in. This is a great review, honest and shows the bike in a good light. I'm sure DYU will be pleased. I see you shoot with a ZV-1, are you using the image stabilization features? The recent 2-part car camping vid would have benefited from that. But, please, keep up the great vids! (Disappointing to see some of the creepy comments on this vid, maybe not a good idea to engage with that?)
Etm...embarrassingly I used to be photographer with a bog chunky nikon...these days I'm more of a point and shoot and don't like messing about too long with controls....that being said noni didn't set up the image stabilisation settings...il take a look... I sometimes get lazy snd just use my wobbly phone selfie stick which causes extra epbbling...I really need to perfect my filming skills so thank you for the heads up
Thank u as well for ur kind comments about my little channel. I like to keep variety in the videos 😄 and love showing beautiful places in the UK 🇬🇧
XOXOXO
Different video for you but was enjoyable as always 👍some nice view's on show 😉
Glad you enjoyed it, thanks for watching
Could you test it out on a cattle grid and be sure to video it please x
🤔🤔🤭🤭😂😂
Cattle grid !!! Not a good idea Lilu
@bromptinowner763 😅😅😅 no, it's not a "carry on cycling" film 🤭🤭😂
@@AdventuresWithLilu lol
Man, I want to come back as a 🚲bike saddle 😎😎
Rude!!!!!!🙈🤣
Yep, but honest 😎😂😘
@aidankitson7877 🤣 aye that's true
A good way to combat those saddle sores and numb bums is to invest in some padded cycle shorts! I did and they helped a lot! I was able to travel much further without suffering the next day.
Very true... I think im just out of practice...the second day I was fine 🙂 👍🏻 👌🏻
Looks a well built model to be fair ! Impressed. 👍
I'm impressed too! Surprised really as wasmt expecting much... love it tho lol
Give us a go on your bike. Never been to Nottingham, it looks alright.
There are sone lovely areas out of the city for sure
@@AdventuresWithLilu yea looks like a nice place. Love the shorts by the way, nice pattern look good on a lampshade. 😏
😂😂😂😂😂😂
You need a first aid kit ( basic for day trips and comprehensive for longer ).....that's my only criticism......I pack different, but its horse's for courses what ever works for you ......just remember everything has a place and you need know where to find it .....Great video
I have a first aid kit in my deuter usually, and first aid trained, mental health first aid trained and even carry a pocket mask and pet first aid kit in the car.......anything else 😁😅
A swimming cap !!😂
Cheeky bugger 🤣🤣🤣 why have u disappeared?
Cheeky bugger! 😅😅 why have u disappeared??
All joking aside Lilu, or Boudica of Nottingham, your enthusiasm and energy for life is inspirational, from a rude Irishman 😎
❣️
You look great on the bike…
Thank you kindly
Hi Lisa. Defiantly need a hill test video. Ease into with a ride up the lower part of Porochester Road or up Prospect Road. Then ramp it up with nice long climb up Oxton Bank (Southwell Road/B6386) finishing with a cycle up Terrace Hill, otherwise known as Wood Lane in the Vale of Belvoir. On a slightly different note, an e-bike that propels itself without pedalling is illegal in this country unless it is registered, taxed and insured as a motor vehicle. Not that it stops most of the fast food delivery riders.
I'm not into road cycling, especially around areas like Porchester Road. There are too many dangerous motorists, and that's coming from me holding a full motor bike license and bus license too. Il be doing what I enjoy the most and that's tranquil adventures on peaceful quiet lanes or paths not busy inner city routes. Throttle or no throttle. Its a cool bike. 😎
Hiya Lilu. I really enjoyed the video and have subscribed to you. That ride out looked fun and quite inspiring.lm looking forward to seeing more adventures. Thanks again. Si ✌😎.
Thanks for the sub! Welcome!!!
I've done the Tissington Trail bikepacking from my home in the West Midlands which is about 45 miles away , it's a great ride the trail. Bikepacking is great fun, thoug5h I use a normal bike as I am into my bikes.
That sounds a long way!!! Good on u
Another great video. Beautiful scenery and the countryside didn't look bad either 😊. I have been considering getting an electric bike for a while and these ones seem the most reasonably priced. ❤
Go for it! Thsnks for taking time to watch
Looked fun and making the most of the lovely weather.
I notice today that a spring fed mini pond that only activates/appears when the ground is saturated has almost dried up, so finally getting back to normal down here in Hampshire. No weeks of dry weather this spring, like normal, just those last few days.
Interesting! Thanks for watching
Best of luck with your Exam today. I have my fingers crossed for you 🤞
🥰 thank you
@AdventuresWithLilu I'm not sure who is more nervous about the results? I trust all went well! 🤞🙏😉
@gregphillips.1312 haha...it was intense but I passed!! More info on it coming soon....exciting tines ahead 😁
@AdventuresWithLilu that's a relief! Well done Chick, proud of you x
@gregphillips.1312 thank you 😊
I have a few bikes - MTB's mostly and no motor - which up here in the hills and fells I think I'll be adding a motor soon.
Definitely get yourself a Surron...💪🏼😄
Sorry I didn't get to watch your video sooner. Cool little bike. Seems perfect for you. So glad you mentioned the helmet. I was worried about you. You also looked quite fetching in this video. How are your classes going. I'm glad you had some nice weather. Stay well and be happy.
Thanks for watching.. I dont like review videos, but this one was a lot of fun. Lol
My test is next Friday... getting v anxious now.. 😟
Ay Up Chuck i already have a Estarli 16.7 similar setup, really fun little bikes, enjoyed your review !! Also if you ride it often enough there is no saddle sore next day
Ahh hey!! Hope ur keeping well!!
19:31 - stroke, stroke - no I'm just trying to cycle whilst filming ...lol.
What u on about 😅😅
@@AdventuresWithLilu That's what it's called when using a skull on the river - rowing. Why what d'you think I was saying?
@marksadventures3889 with you, it could be anything lol
My sense of humour is a bit random - I was raised on Monty Python and the Goons!
@@marksadventures3889 😂😂😂 explains it all
Great video and review Lisa ....really liking a lot of the features that come standard with it ....loads of pros defo !! I would much more prefer one of these than a Brompton!!! Looking forward to seeing it geared up for bike packing and wild camping i reckon you will love it !!! Stay awesome !!❤
My only worry would be knowing where the cycle friendly paths are to wild camp...this bike isn't exactly equipped for off loading lol
My first outing I did Basingstoke Canal .....I live in Fleet Hampshire so it's on my doorstep so was on paths mostly maybe do something similar your end ....totally get what your saying , one thing I recommend to get is a first aid kit for the bike ....nothing major some mini tools spare inner tube or puncture repair kit and mini pump .....( I've had to replace inner tubes twice out in the woods on rough terrain fully loaded and that's on a fricking fatbike)....
Your be surprised how much gear you can get on a bike but I also recommend going with as minimal as possible just the essentials especially as yours is so Diddy and not a offroader......
@jamesberry9934 me? Pack minima?? Have u seen my wild camp vids?? 😂😂😂
😂😂 okay yes that's a given, but it really gets your brain box thinking about what you really need and don't.... that's a big part of the adventure as well 😊
Maybe not so much for this bike but you're mountain bike if thinking of packing gear on rough terrain and distance tap up Alpkit ....my beast was outfitted by them and they custom built my inner frame pack ...really reccomend them as a company top quality gear and British built look them up .....
I'd probably ride one if it had solid tyres and was turbo charged ! 😄😄
😅😅
Good innit..
Really cool yeh
Really considering a conversion kit because I’m lazy.
Welcome to Team Lazy!! 😁
Ay up from another Nottinghamer. Enjoyed the video but please wear a helmet ⛑️. What is the range of the bike?
With a 250W brushless motor and a 36V 7.8Ah battery, it can reach speeds up to 15 mph and travel up to 21 miles on a single charge. Hellooo 👋🏻
I know of a Tandem for sale, I'll come Bike Packing with you and you can go upfront, you'd look sweet upon the seat of bicycle made for two 😂😂
😂😂🤭🤭🙈🙈
@@AdventuresWithLilu Lilu Lilu give me your answer do, I seem transfixed watching you on that DYU, your pendant however Lush, has me in a blush with such a camera view 😂😂😂
😂😂😂😂 brilliant!!
Shake dem babylons 😃😃
😅😅😅 rude!!
@@AdventuresWithLilu Sorry. I should have said "you're a very attractive young lady" (which you are).
I like the bike btw, & if you want to test it on hills; head to Cumbria. Hills are completely unavoidable.
Do u want me to die??? Lol
Been toying with the idea of an electric bike for two reasons, firstly there are a LOT of hills where I live and secondly I'm a lazy b*****d. My first experience of them was when I lived in Spain, cycling down on my old mountain bike to the beach to have breakfast, head down, arse up peddling away like anything and these two very obese German pensioners just sailed past me, was most disheartening.
Hahaha yes I did feel very smug in tissington whizzing passed all the ones struggling 😅
Please wear a helmet 🙏😊
Yes I know I left the lid in the boot of my car and realised after I'd set off...but I wasmt really on roads much and its a very quiet area at least 😅 thanks for watching
@@AdventuresWithLilu it's not just about being on roads, I came off my bike on a cycle path, hit the the back of my head but was wearing a helmet, so without it, it would have been a lot worse, ever since then I have to say to people, you can literally just fall off a bike and hit your head with nobody near you.... I'm not criticising you, just a concerned viewer, great videos by the way, keep it up and stay safe 😊
