If you saw them live in the 1990s , they fucking destroyed everything you thought about live music they were just a force of nature. i feel like something happened @ the ACME album which neutered them somewhat. Maybe it was Dan Automator's production ... but it lost the absurd energy levels and they stopped being the phenomenon they had been
Love it!Nice editing, glad I stumbled across this. Two remarks though: they kinda switch around being lead guitars, and they met after studies. If I remember correctly, Jon dropped out of Brown and Pussy Galore moved from Washington to NYC, where he met Russell and Judah. Truly the greatest live act I've seen to date - number one indeed! Thanks for making this ...
Pussy Galore sort of toughened us up. JSBX then put those high octane drums into world wide tours, and they kind of perfected no wave groove psych rock. No prisoners taken at all. No ballads.
"Acme is a lesser known album..…" I would challenge the fuck out of that statement. Acme and Orange are they're best albums. They were peaking at this point in they're career.
I'm glad I watched this, was able to snag the last copy of Acme based on your suggestion. I was aware of Now I Got Worry and Orange but Acme totally fell under my radar. Definitely check out their bandcamp page if you haven't already.
The best band in the universe!
The Blues is #1!
Glad you included a bit of the appearance on Recovery. I'll never forget the look on the kids in the audience's faces......hilarious.
My ears are still ringing from when I saw them in 1999.
Hell yeah dude. Great knowing there's others of us out there.
BLUES EXPLOSION
Yeah! C'mon!
Musical legends!
Great job encapsulating their style and history in a short time!
So psyched I got to see them as many times as I did, during the 90's. Sooooo good!!
Very lucky to have seen these guys in Whelans Dublin in 2014 I think

Real sad I never got to see them live... And by the looks of it never will 😓
If you stood down front at the show, you’d get his sweat on you!
Love it!!! I’ve been a fan from the beginning 🤙
What an amazing musician
Perfect. Thanks.
G'damn I miss these guys.
He didn't just play for Pussy Galore and Boss Hog, they were his bands. Boss Hog more Christina's. Thumbs up regardless, BLUES EXPLOSION!!!
