That opening scream on Now I Got Worry is probably my favorite beginning to any album ever.
Best live band ever. I never got to see Zeppelin, but I saw The Blues Explosion four times and each time was amazing. So sad they are done.
You hear how Blur ripped them off!? And got nowhere near... only band live who surpass john spencer bx... BUTTHOLE SURFERS... and nobody tops that sick mess!
"Acme is a lesser known album..…" I would challenge the fuck out of that statement. Acme and Orange are they're best albums. They were peaking at this point in they're career.

Pussy Galore sort of toughened us up. JSBX then put those high octane drums into world wide tours, and they kind of perfected no wave groove psych rock. No prisoners taken at all. No ballads.

If you saw them live in the 1990s , they fucking destroyed everything you thought about live music they were just a force of nature. i feel like something happened @ the ACME album which neutered them somewhat. Maybe it was Dan Automator's production ... but it lost the absurd energy levels and they stopped being the phenomenon they had been
OMG, they were great in the 90s, Pussy Galore and Boss Hog too....but those early 90s shows in NYC were amazing.

Love it!Nice editing, glad I stumbled across this. Two remarks though: they kinda switch around being lead guitars, and they met after studies. If I remember correctly, Jon dropped out of Brown and Pussy Galore moved from Washington to NYC, where he met Russell and Judah. Truly the greatest live act I've seen to date - number one indeed! Thanks for making this ...
