I showed a buddy a buncha live JSBX songs on CZcams, he loved it. We ended up being in a band together, and he would call out our band name out between songs. The other band members thought it was dumb, but I laughed every time. It came across more like a talkshow host giving a shout out to the band coming back from a commercial. It was old school classy, try it.
Anyone know the story on why these guys broke up? I could only find one interview anywhere where Jon said: “There were just circumstances which made it impossible to continue working,” Spencer says. “It was very unfortunate, especially since we were in the middle of promoting that last album. It was a real blow. It took me awhile to mourn that and get over it, but I’m moving on.”
Wasn't crazy about Freedom Tower but the best track, 'White Jesus" was also the best here and, as usual with these guys, far better live. I wish their records were a bit more unhinged - like the old days... Crypt Style, I miss that ol' No Wavey R&R.
@@HamLipsOHoolihan Glad you liked it! He's got a new album with the rhythm section from the Bobby Lees and - it's a killer band, don't sleep on it and if you can catch them live, DO
Disagree. Great interview and approach to get to the root of what these guys do in the larger context of music, instead of the usual meaningless scene questions Vice or Pitchfork would ask.
Thanks for sharing the love JSBX!

Great interview. Thanks for this.
Great sound :)
This band tore the roof off Bogart's in Cincinnati back in the early 2000's . They were promoting the Acme record .
I don’t think I’ve ever seen Judah not chewing gum
I don't get the anger thing? I get instant shot of fun when I hear this!

Wow I thought Freedom Tower was their best since Plastic Fang.

World's favorite band!!!

Judah reminded me of the quiet killer in Fargo (film), thinking of violence toward interviewer
Are there clips from this that just isolate on the music?
What's with the powdered doughnut around Jim Sullivan's (It's Boston) mouth?
Hes no john felice
these guys shit on every other band around
never got to see these guys.
im ashamed
Yes WORST interviewer ever. And you can tell this is painstaking for the guys. Jon is incredibly polite considering...
Christ these guys are very very boring!!! Chill out guys a few celebrity anecdotes or a travel story, lost luggage or something
