- After two months in the grow on tank, how much have my first two koi grown?
In this video we have a close look at Bob and Pascal to see how they are getting on :) We have a close look to check for any ailments, and also to give them a quick measure up.
I also give an overview of the tank including; my cleaning regime, water changes, water test, how the DIY internal moving bed bio chamber filer and DIY aerated bottom drain is working, and an overview of an auto-feeder that I have been using.
I hope you enjoy the video, and please leave me a comment if there is anything you think I have missed or could improve upon!
Cheers, Chaz :)

Given my tank has been at 12 deg c, how do you think they have done for their first two months?
nice update Chas. Im sure they will put on a bit more size come the summer.
Nice bit of growth there Chaz in the time you've had them. As the weather gets warmer, start whacking the food in and they'll soon grow 👍🏼
Thanks! Yes, I was pleased that they’ve grown a bit more than I thought when I recorded the video :) The Warner weather can’t come soon enough!! 👍🏻
All looking good temps on way up then they will grow 😀👍🏼👍🏼
Thanks Jiffster! The warmer temps can’t come soon enough, I’m fed up with wearing my hat!! 😆
That pesky new pond syndrome 🙄 The koi are coming along lovely! Good to see your daughter still loving the hobby. It’s what it’s all about 👍🏼
Yea, she is still really keen, and my son is desperate for me to start digging the pond now lol. I'm really pleased with how they are coming along so far, I've learned a lot from these two little beauties :)
Looking good guys 😊 👍
Thanks Jamie :)
Looking good fella, seems you’ve for a sizing video I’ll do mine Wednesday 👍🏼
Look forward to seeing it mate :)
Nice video Chaz that could develop into a girin karashigoi, the little kohaku looks good as well 👍👍🚀🚀
Ah yes, that’s the word I couldn’t remember… ginrin!! Thank you! 😊
Nice video Chaz👍
Need to practice more on your fish catching skills 😂
Fish look good 👌Tank looks good - I have an IBC I'm using as a fry tank.
Hope you're well.
I certainly do! 😂 I’ve just found your channel too mate, so will head over and have a look at what you’ve been up to! 👍🏻
@@chazkoi Thanks 👍
Nice little grow on set up there. Whack a aquarium heater in there if you can
Thank you! I’ve actually got a 1kw heater fitted in the filter cupboard 👍🏻 I only have it set to 12 deg c though because it was so cold at the beginning of the year. I’d love to have it set a bit higher but sadly the price of electricity is way too high for that at the moment! Thanks for watching and I appreciate you leaving your comment 😁👍🏻
@Chaz Koi yes the dam electric!! Hopefully proces start to come down soon. Don't blame you a 1kw one will run bill up fairly quick.
@@OrchardKoi yea, I had it on for two months and it was costing about £20 a month just to keep it at 12deg!
