- Lots of off roading, back roads and high vistas near Quartzsite, Arizona Jeep trails. .Our USA travels in a 40' Monaco motor home, or whatever else is on my mind today. :)

A dry Christmas in Rockford Illinois. No snow from Chicago to Montreal
Ok I’m impressed with the Jeep. Looks like you guys are having a blast in Quartzsite. You definitely got more rain than we did up here.
We got a substantial amount of rain in the Coachella valley Thursday morning. Lots of flooded roads and I got to navigate some of that to get to work. Possibly as bad as what we got back in August from that tropical storm.
Glad your navigation skills got you through. :)
@@JCTravelStories desert rat 😅
𝄆𝄞𝄫♫♬𝄇 𝄐𝄐𝄐 Can you do a video about your infatuation or passion for the desert. I don't get it. I lived in Phoenix for a year for work, away from home in SC. On weekends, I explored up to Flagstaff, the Grand Canyon, down to Nogales, Tuscon to Bisbee to Kayenta and Bullhead City. Nothing that inspired me. Just wondering if a new perspective, yours, would have changed my mind. This was from 1985, of and on, until 1993. Great video as always. You should start a video production company or do voiceovers. You have the perfect mix of Walter Cronkite, Bob Ross, and Morgan Freeman. Shalom.
Good question. Maybe I will do a video. As I think about it. ……. Variety. A foolish consistency is the hobgoblin of little minds. Grew up on the prairie, 27 years in the trees of Oregon, 20 years in the tropical paradise of Mexico. The desert is beautiful in a different way. Different plants and animals. Always views of jagged peaks beckoning in distance and sunsets that inspire quiet contemplation. Actually, it’s none of that. Friends. We meet up with friends.
Looks like a bunch of dirt to me. Other areas of Arizona are beautiful but this area very barron.
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
You have beautiful eyes. 😊
I bet the van would make it… That short rocky hill could potentially be the Blue Van Dan’s “Here hold my beer” 🍺 famous last words moment! JK
We laughed. :)
*view 🤣
No electronic AWD system can even remotely approach the capability of true mechanical 4WD, even without locking diffs. Add in locking diffs, and anybody who says electronic systems are as good is out of their mind. It's basic physics. Then there's the insanity of what happens to your brakes and driveline if you attempt any real 4WD stuff with an electronic system. The brake wear, heat generation and driveline shock of electronic systems are not an issue for short, light, rare situations, but if you try any serious offroading with an electronic system you're in for a rude and very expensive awakening.
Of course, what many people consider "off-roading" is simply getting off pavement, which is absurd. Most off-pavement routes that can successfully be completed by an electronic "4WD" vehicle can just as easily be navigated by a 2WD and a competent driver. That's NOT "off-road", that's off HIGHWAY.
Smart as you are about all this stuff, you missed the fact that you were viewing a trail rated jeep with true four-wheel-drive, not all-wheel-drive.
