Ten Hag took over a Man Utd team following their worst points tally in Premier League history, with hardly any players suited to his style of play, whilst Arne Slot would come into a Liverpool team after winning, or close to winning the league with players suited to his style.
The only comparisons to the two situations are that both managers are Dutch

The guy has a good understanding of football, has good control over himself on and off the pitch, an amazing drive to win, and excellent social skills, I seldom heard any professional or former professional player in the Netherlands talk bad about him, all have tons of respect for him as a coach.

I think it comes down to this - if we're looking for another Klopp, we're neve going to find that, but this isn't one of those times when a manager leaves a club is disarray and what is needed is radical change. If our new manager has some of the qualities we love in Klopp but is still his own man and doesn't try and imitate Klopp he'll have a decent chance. What we have to be prepared to do is to give him time, and certainly to be patient as long as some form of progress is visible. What we might want to learn from the Mancs is that you don't necessarily measure that progress by winning a cup and a high finish in the league, both of which have clearly flattered to deceive in Ten Hag's case. What we should be asking at the end of next season is (a) can we see what the manager is trying to do in terms of style of play, recruitment and development? and (b) can we see evidence that we're moving in that direction?

That said there really isn't a standout managerial candidate in world football who is available. Xabi Alonso would have been the one, however Real Madrid and Bayern Munich are definitely more attractive options given the state of the Premier League at the moment.
