Hi Brian wonderful videos, leaks in my R230 is not my concern I took care of those as you mentioned in this video which is helpful to a lot of people.I’m so paranoid about moisture in my trunk on my R 230 basically I have all important electronic components wrapped or covered, or Protected in someway and I use large fabricated silica dioxide”desiccant”in strategic places to take care of any moisture, I’m almost a little overboard with my concerns for moisture in the trunk, however since I did all the pre-nightmare work ,example “$1200.” Voltage unit, I haven’t had any problems” six years” it’s always dry as a bone even after storms, in the past I’ve seen moisture around items like the convertible Hydraulic pump & The electronics around it, not any more, unfortunately my car sit’s out in the weather even though it has several layers of covers , Blankets , plastic, car cover and it’s dried off constantly during in the winter weather, which isn’t bad at all Northern California. Love your car’s ,love your videos, I’d sell a kidney to own one of the cars you’ve built. LOL, the White one’s my favorite the only bummer is it doesn’t have a pano roof. Keep the videos coming thank you so much. STEVE
Hi Brian, Thank you for posting these informative videos. I'm in the process of upgrading my SL600 and you've given me great ideas. do you only work on your own cars?
First off love your videos man! I’ve been contemplating getting a SL but it’s hard to find solid information on them. Just watching your videos has made me more comfortable with deciding to purchase one. So, do you just pick them up add your flair and sell them?
Hi Dontee. If you can do some of the mechanical work yourself, you'll be in a much better place if you plan to purchase. Yep! Buy them, fix/sort any issues, perform a full maintenance suite, and add a lot of custom tasteful touches.
I'm interested in an SL but I've had bad experience with convertibles in the past with them leaking when it rains, in your experience how often do the R230's roofs fail/leak?
Hi Mikey. In my personal experience with over 25 or so of these SL's... The only place that I've had them leak water is the rubber seal underneath of the rear window. They almost all do due to age and it's something that I always replace. Other than that, they are built like a bank vault and are really solid and leak free.
Another great video! Looking forward to the upcoming ones as well.
Thanks skid!
Wow, what a great find, that white SL is nice! I can’t wait to see the end results! I’m definitely gonna email you!! Keep it coming!
Thanks Shawn! Love white on this car.

@@FisherFAST What do you recommend? SL65 vs SL55? I wanna know where you stand objectively & subjectively on these 2 models.
Were to get the lights. Or isit custom?
Hi Habib. The lights are stock that have been opened up and painted.
