Being so low, it must make judging the braking zones that much harder. I have no idea how these people do what they do, but it's great watching them do it!

Maria is not the only lady that races these 160 mph monsters in F2 sidecars ,its not male dominated . They are direct steered by physically turning the front wheel ( unlike adjustable geared steering in F1 sidecars) so both driver and passenger have to be fit to deal with the pounding and physicality of all the bumps of the 100+ miles of 3 laps of the Mountain Circuit . As you saw not the most comfortable cockpit in any form of racing for driver or passenger . MBE well earned as a diplomat for her sport unlike some I could mention in F1 .
