    One thing I noticed in this game was just how clean both teams' offensive lines played. I didn't see hardly any holding like you see in most games and certainly not like I saw from the Bengals in the AFC championship game. I thought the Eagles' pass protection was superb as well. The difference was the Chief's d-line gapping up those running plays and the Chiefs' linebackers filling on the runs. But nice to see a clean game for once.

      A big factor that helped both offenses was definitely the field conditions. Tons of people posting on Twitter all the dlinemen slipping everywhere. Really helps the OL when the pass rush can't plant at the top of their rush or trust their footing to all out rush.

      @@airballing23 In one of the plays in the video above you see McKinnon only get 5 yards because he slipped. That field sucked for everyone. • @airballing23
      @airballing23 Před rokem +3

      @davemauriello8088 the field sucked for everyone, it just generally helps offense more when field conditions are bad. Eagles and Chiefs were 1 and 2 in sacks this year and they combined for 2 this game (both Jalen running out of bounds short of the LOS). I don't think it's a coincidence that both teams scored at will. The Eagles also played there week 5. This wasn't the same field though, the NFL worked on their own field for 2 years, spent 800k on it and rolled that in. Wasn't the Cardinals typical grass.

    Just looking back to the 2021 draft. We took Leatherwood at 17. KC took Bolton at 58, Humphrey at 63, and Trey Smith at 226. Just looking at that tells a little piece of why they won the SB and we are losing so many games. And they also have Toney who was from the same draft class and picked after Leatherwood. All these guys I just mentioned contributed big if not MVP worthy in the SB. We got to do a much better job evaluating talent in drafts or we will continue to fail. Thank you many times over. Educating rabid fans is a thankless effort but what appreciation it adds to the way the Chiefs win in spite of human errors! Our coaches are very good. They have rookies play together with big money vets as ONE. That alone is impressive, but have men on one-year contracts play that way is COACHING, COACHING< COACHING. Add in the Hunt legacy, the Reid & Veech factor, and it smells of sustained success. Dynasty is a useless word, 'cuz every year is an uphill climb in and of itself, and disregards past players, coaches and too many other things that mark a year's Superbowl triumph in its own glorious package. But this is indeed a special time for Chiefs fans, and you have specified for us how it went in the trenches and why we keep the system we have. Thank you sincerely!

    Thank you so much for highlighting the fabulous job done by the Chief offensive line. Against the best defense in the league, the Chief's line totally kicked ass. And those two TD pass plays that Coach called down in the red zone were perfect. The Eagles defense looked like clowns on those plays because they were nowhere near the ball. For the Chiefs to come back and use the same play again to the same result was like poured salt into the wound of the Eagles defense.
    All due praise to the Eagles offense and Jalen Hurts who gave the Chiefs everything they could handle. If they'd gotten the ball back at the end with a minute to play, who knows what might have happened, but they didn't because the Chiefs made sure they used up all the time on the clock. And as far as the holding call against the Eagles, anyone who has watched the replay from the right angle saw a fist full of jersey in the hand of the defender. You just can't do that in front of the refs in a critical situation and complain that it got called.
