No, not really. Some adults are super calm. (Around strangers they will get skittish though)
If yoj watch the different Utube video's of different Fennec fixed they don't scream all the time in fact one that is VERY WELL TRAVELED by air and boat and I mean Yacht he is very quiet and excellent in all situations and sits quietly on his humans lap while they eat in restaurants.
One such Fennec fox is Djinn he makes sounds mostly when he's excited or exploring but not all the time not any worse than some pet birds.

They may have pointy ears, but the ear (In My opinion) resemble a cat. the nose is like a dog, I don't see any doglike or catlike features in the tail. they also have catlike paws.
