Would you own a fennec fox?

Yes, there adorable and we already have a bird, so I think we could handle this lil fox. I know there not anywhere near close to a bird but birds are also hard to take care of. 🙂

They are adorable and I would want one IF I could care for them properly. That is true for any pet.
Thanks for reminding us that discipline needs to be positive reinforcement and you should never punish a Fennec for being what it is.

I'm totally convinced now I'm NOT having a Fennec
And that's good and ok, I would never want such a beautiful creature to have a bad house and owner, even if it's myself

This was so helpful, now I know that there very energetic and I love that in a animal because we have 2 lazy cats and 1 mean bird (probably because he’s scared right now) and we’re planning on getting a dog!

@@PETRIXXXX Yes, in the canine group. They are NOT dogs. You can’t expect a fox to act like a dog, they’re not an animal that are calm and easy to train. It requires a whole lot of time and energy, never mind money. Also, vets don’t always take in exotic animals. The reason for this is they dont have the practice. If a kid gets one, they can’t be 3-5 without adult supervision. They will make the fox nervous and afraid. Unlike a dog, who will love and lick them because they are used to little kids and humans!

      I might be wrong but
I know the smell has something to do with certain scent glands they have that become more active when they lay in the sun.
And the smell wouldn’t really be described as bad, more of a desert musty smell

I am suprised that people need to repeat same things when it comes to keeping exotic animals. Thought It would be common knowledge that pets like snakes, foxes, tarantulas,... require different diets and needs compared to common pets. :/

Good info, but... This is a horribly produced video. There is no real life interaction with a human. There is no actual person in this video, just cut aways of fennec foxes being silly. Lastly the person voicing this is extremely monotone and bored. I shut it off after 30 seconds because it is so bad. I came back a few days later and suffered through it because it does contain useful information, but there are much better videos out there.

I just want to say, fennec foxes should not be owned as pets. They should remain wild and free. Even if you find one hurt in the wild, and nurse it back to health, you should put it back,
