    Look at the moon, it's so beautiful. There's a very famous Chinese song literally called "The Moon represents my heart" (月亮代表我的心) from 1970s, and the first sentence loosely translated to "If you ask how much and how deep I love you, the moon represent my heart". I've heard that there's also a Japanese version of the song.
    Maybe there's some connection :)

    Because of the privacy factor being paramount, they are the best places to go on a three day cocaine binge or a hash smoking session, especially if your neighbours are suspicious.

  • @unstoppableExodia
    @unstoppableExodia Před 2 lety +6

    Ok this was funny. Lots of funny gags which are always appreciated. But I gotta say the MVP of this episode was when Ken-san taught us about the Meiji era way of saying you love someone (in a romantic way). That line fits so perfectly into a story I’ve been working on. But here’s the best part I can add it in without having to take something else out. It’s a gem of a line because it fits the story context to a tee. So thank you for that particular gem. I did cross check it to make sure it wasn’t just a troll to fool dopey westerners.
    It would have a young male character would be unknowingly saying he loves a young female character (who he just saved from something) in a very subtle meiji era way because he just noticed the moon looking particularly incredible when the conversation hit a lull while certain thoughts and feelings bubble to the surface with in her. That’s all I can say without just telling it all
    But I owe the moon stuff added in to Ken-san, arigato

    1:52 - Meshida's expression. Perfect combination of "this escalated quickly" and "but I'm also intrigued now".
    3:55 - Jesus Horatio Christ, that slow solemn salute broke me.
    It's still early, but I'm sure this is my video of the month. You and Ken play well off each-other, and the vibe is just perfect (you make a great straight-man). It's like Meshida came to him two days before and said, "Look, Ken. We've already blown through the advance they paid us to do this stupid documentary. Between the two of us, we know everything there is to know about love hotels, right? Right. So, we just tell the audience a few interesting facts, give Lie a little guest spot, she's nice, and the magic of editing will take care of the rest. What could go wrong?"

    hello people. We have something similar in America. It's called a no--tell motel. You don't want to admit or tell what you did in that space.
    These places make lots of money by charging by the hour to occupy the space. You have to move quickly to get all the fun done in one hour.

    Very educational! 😅 By the way, an "S&M Queen" sounds more like a cross-dressing male dom in English idiom. That might not have been what was intended. 🤔 I have seen love hotels promoted on Hotel booking sites, but I don't think that they were labelled as "love hotels" just "adults only", leaving foreigners to guess the rest. Foreigners might not guess the rest because I haven't seen love hotels in other countries. 😅
