Ridiculously underrated film, with one of THE best soundtracks of all time. Hans Zimmer is such a gifted Beast! My heart beats to the compass of his melodious quest for joy and passion, suffering and pain. His music not only lifts but transports me to the story it tells.
Glad I'm not the only one who thinks the soundtrack to this film is incredible!

Recently lost my beloved mother to cancer. She's never watched this, but she bought the DVD for me when I was eight. She's known my taste better than anybody. I grew up with dreams of becoming a knight with high virtues - values the film entailed. Knew that I'd face struggles and turmoils in the future. This was my battle. Now even if I feel terrible with all those confusing emotions in my chest, and even if I cannot sleep in my bed with some damn peace, I know something. "But with this title comes a sacred responsibility to protect, to defend, to value their lives above your own, and should they perish in battle, to live your life gloriously in honor of their memory." I have one choice, which is to live my life gloriously in honor of her memory. Peace.

I'm sorry for the loss of your mother. She had great taste in music. If you're still struggling with peace of mind, something that helped me with parental loss were the teachings of Miyamoto Musashi one of Japan's greatest Samurai. His teachings are similar to Marcus Aurelius the last great Roman Emperor. Miyamoto's stoicism can be found all over youtube. Both of his parents died when he was 10. He would go on to win 60 life or death duels starting at age 15 and write one of the most awe inspiring works The Book of Five Rings which is filled with Stoic and Eastern philosophy that guides one through extremely difficult times.

Movie is great
To this very day it is inexplicable how more people do not know about and love this film. It has everything in almost a perfect balance with virtually zero cringe. The battle scenes, the character development, compelling story, interesting historical setting, score, magic, romance, pace, eternal questions. Clive was brilliant. The cast was terrific.
This was not the version you got to see at the theatrical release, it was butchered down to a PG.
The beauty of Arthurian Legends is that they are universal.
We have hundreds of adaptations and each of them is unique.

This reminds me of when I was a boy, my dream was to find the final resting place of arthur and his knights, the round table, Camelot. Now as a man I've realized arthur is a concept, a vision of what a leader should be.
Arthur ( the 2nd)(Ironbear) 502- 579ad was real he is buried in Glamorgan, he was the King of Glamorgan and Gwent. His burial place is also the burial place of the ancient Kings of Britain, one of the most scared sites in the British Iles but sadly it is completely ignored and known only to a small group of independent historians. His Father is Muerig buried also in Wales, llandaff, his grandfather Twedrig, Mathern. The full history of Arthur (2) is now available search :Wilson and Blackett.
This film has such heart. Such depth. That’s why it’ll never get older to watch. It’s a classic and a must watch.

I was 7 when this film premiered. I remember my friend and I dressed up as Knights when we went to the cinema. Still a criminally underrated movie with an amazing cast.
This wonderful compilation of scenes from Arthur is better than the entire film was.
Each and every line from the movie is so truthful. The genuineness of the characters and their personalities is so innately pure.
The actors have done justice to the characters they have played and music, my soul craves for a work of art like this.
Clive Owen is by far my favorite actor, his performance in King Arthur is one of his best ones, and you depicted it in the best possible way through this tribute, as you always do, thank you ❤.

@@Zurik23M almost all of the cast are superstars now and have big movies they've starred in. I don't know if the producers even realized what they had at the time, but they made the audience invest in all of them within the time limits of the movie.

Great Sword-and-sandal film but alas doesn't feel right at all for a an historical adapation of the Arthurian legends. Artorius is not a name, it the name of his gens that just happen to sound like Arthur but that's a coincidence. Lucius Artorius Castus was a Sarmatian mercenary for Rom sent in Armenia, not Armorica and he could have never fought the Saxons invasions of Britain since he was born centuries too early for that. And beside the most likely place for the Badon Hill fight is Mynydd Baeden in Wales, not at the Hadrien's Wall. King Arthur was more likely a Celtic Briton war leader leaving in the VIe century in Wales (may be he was romanized but not a roman)
Arthur and his Knights sacrifice will always reside in the memory of Britain.
What a stacked cast in this underatted film...

For all its flaws I still think that the attempt of making a historically grounded film on Arthur was a bold one. Also it is probably one of the few movies set in the late Roman empire

@@jacobclark2409 oh trust me it's not a chick flick. It's a fantastic film that understands what it is to be a knight. Is it one's lineage or their heart. When the world around you withdraws from tough decisions. Will you withdraw or will you tilt and take on the problem. How you treat those around you and how you keep your eye on the target. Also there's nothing wrong with a good chick flick. There's plenty of great films that's "chick flicks" but have great a story for all sexes.

This is a very good Fan Vid. I saw King Arthur in theaters originally. I appreciated the original cut and timing with the soundtrack. I feel the directors cut is a tad over bloated but it still good. The best part is Arthur's meet and greet with the Saxon, horse snorting, camera circle tracking, it keeps the scene moving for what is to come. The director hand held the cam for that scene. Please check out the few vids I have created.

Thanks for making this video!! I love this movie, it's one of my all time favorites!!! There were a bunch of clips in your video of scenes that I had never seen before. I assume they were deleted scenes or part of some extended version that I had never seen. Either way it was cool to see, like finding out a back-story you never knew. I need to find where I can view all these extra scenes now though. The movie version I have is pretty basic & I want more!! 😆
