I have one of these, a Green Scalloped, growing indoors. I was delighted to see a female flower forming! I’ve been saving the male flowers in the fridge for when I got females so I’m super excited 🎉 Can’t wait to try them 💚🌱
Hello. That's great! The male flowers should work fine, if You stored them right. Good luck 🌱🍀

Beautiful plants. Good job!
Thank you very much! 😊
Thank you for the excellent and concise video. I think you have covered all I need to know. One little question though, does the plant produce fewer fruit in a container compared to open ground?
Hello. No, as long as the container is large enough for the root system, there is no difference.
Thank You very much for Your feedback! 🍀
Hi Im growing these in a grow bag and tomato cage. Thanks for sharing. A new subscriber here🌱

He just wanted to be seen 😄 sneaky though!
Thank you!
This is the first time I've seen a pumpkin like this.
Really? Patty pans are pretty common where I live 🙂
It's picked young and is more comparable to a Zucchini than a pumpkin, pretty tasty roasted or grilled.
Nice
Thank You ☺
Wonderful video ❤. What sort is the pattison? Sunburst F1?
I think this was "Sunseance F1"
Thank You ☺🍀
I'm growing in same bags, how often do you water?
Hello. That depends on the stage of the plants. When they are small, they don't need much water, but once they start producing fruit the watering frequency goes up. On clear sky summer days every day. I recommend checking the soil before watering, to see if it is time to do so 🙂
@@Liapthank you
Are they already yellow when they are small? Mine are green, but I ordered yellow ones. I hope they get their color, but your look like they were yellow already when they where small
Hello. Yes, the fruit is yellow right from the start. What is the variety You are growing?
I planted summer squash on 8/15 and it’s growing really tall but I’m noticing some small leaves are dying and I don’t see any flowers yet. Is this normal? Anything I can do to still get a harvest? I wish CZcams would allow us to post pictures in the comments😩
Feel free to send me a photo to email. According to what You said, the plant is only 25 days old, therefore it's still not mature enough to grow flowers.
Is squash self-fertile or do we need multiple plants for them to fruit? I might not have enough space.
Summer squash is a monoecious plant, meaning it grows both, male and female flowers. That means you will be able to grow fruit with only having one plant.
@@Liap Good to know! I thought they mighy be like tomatoes that need multiple plants to fruit.
You don't need multiple tomato plants to fruit either. Tomato flowers have male and female part on the same flower, so even if you only grow one tomato plant, it will still produce fruit.
What size planting/gardening bag are those?
Hello, these are 39 liter size grow bags (just over 10 gal)
What size grow bag are you using?
These are 39liter size (around 10gal)
Meu Deus achei que era 🌹 🌹 🌹 mas é fruto
Você está certo, elas realmente parecem flores grandes na foto 😀 (translator)
Egg shells should be powdered, that size of egg shell you used will take two years to decompose.
Hello, I agree, when powdered, egg shells will decompose faster. Though I don't really need them to decompose all the way, as they release calcium throughout the process and I am reusing the soil over and over. But thank You for pointing out!
Do you hand pollinate
Very little, there are bees everywhere 🐝🙂 plant some flowers for them 🌸
@@Liap will take your advice and get some zinnias!
Why didn’t you just plant seed directly into 10gal pots? Than you wouldn’t had any plant shock
Because with transplants I can get ahead of the growing season and therefore harvest for longer period of time. If You don't let the seedlings get super rootbound, the transplant shock is really negligible.
