@@lisaseifert9118 As well, its not as if EVERYONE didn't suggest, ask, beg, and shout for them to do it this whole time. The GOP has been corrupt since Nixon. Having said that I realize the Dems have their faults as well, but at least that platform and values align with mine far more. The Human psychology problem is and has always been, power. As in "Absolute power corrupts, absolutely". We're seeing the effects of that corruption now. The "Emperor has no clothes" has become the entire GOP standing naked before the American people who see their open greed and disloyalty. The other reality is, his supporters are still under the mind control they willingly accepted, and it actually goes back before Trump himself to the Obama years, so the "Deprogramming" will take a while and a lot of effort to reverse.

That is the single barrier to having an actual representative democracy. That just to run for state senate, not even federal senate, a person needs to come up with several million. The only way that happens, corporate support, or be rich and have rich friends.
Until we fund political campaigns from a common poool, and say everyone gets exactly x$ so spend it wisely, we will never have a school teacher, or a small business owner or an engineer be in our political system.

Usually located on asphalt and the burning contents are things someone didn’t want anyway. I don’t understand why this is supposed to describe an undesirable situation. If anything dumpster fires are good. You can fit more garbage in there after everything burns.

My one Senator put out ads in January covering for trump, some were really snide. Now, her ads are testimonials by a few people saying all that she personally did for them. Still silent on what she actually stands for.

I wasn't really following US politics in too much detail but Romney has been surprising me for a couple of months now. I don't know if it's integrity or a smart political move because he's seen the writing on the wall early enough or maybe both but he really doesn't care about Trump anymore, does he?
Though oddly enough, being a Republican who doesn't like Trump makes him RINO all of a sudden as if the Republican party had officially become the Trump party.
And no, I don't like Romney's political viewpoints at all. But I can at least respect him

I work for many elderly people. I am getting that more and more they are disgusted by what they see. They voted Republican last election because that is what they had always done. Now they see them for who they really are. They see them trying to cut their benefits, etc.
They see the President smear veterans. Many of these people were alive in WW2, some of them served in Korea and Vietnam. That does just not sit well with them. They think the Tea Party is just bat chyt crazy.
