  • Replacement of VRod engine coolant temperature sensor on my 2006 Night Rod VRSCD. I did not drain coolant, so I leaked a fair bit onto the drive way! This does not involve removing the water pump, and requires a 19mm deep socket (sparkplug socket works fine) and extension.

Hi, I watched your video because I'm looking for an answer to a similar situation. I just bought a 2003 V Rod, I saw that the coolant tank was empty, I already sent to buy the liquid, and here comes the question, when you turn on your bike, the fans that are in the radiator, are turned on at the time or how long it takes, I imagine that this is the temperature sensor, to activate them, right? And if so, I did not notice where it should be located and how you worked to remove it and place it back.

What fid you use to read the codes and clear them too? I know cars have a OBD2 Port to hook up too, not sure on bikes.
