you underestimate how entertaining and informative your content is. dont ever think that any of your past or future videos are boring or too lengthy. you post it, we WILL watch it, and many of us will very much enjoy it. im glad you're here, and i am very glad to be here. dont forget to have yourself a great day
100%
Unless it's about SEMA.😅
I agree, love Rays videos and watch every video!
Yes! We will watch. Have no doubt.
Amen!
The perfect example of “while you are in there”. Great work and please continue to film the upgrades. It gives us all ideas for our own projects.
While you are there gets expensive. I been there many times.
Also known as a sensuous project.
"Sensuous gonna take that part out to get to what you was doin..."
Its the embodiment of "while you are in there". But he did a great job at it. It looks much better than before.
This reminds me of the time I needed to change a leaking washer on a faucet in the shower/tub in our 75 year old house only to find the old brass valve was trashed, and the company that made it no longer exists. Six months and tens of thousand of dollars later…. A new tub, copper re-piping the entire house, new toilet, vanity, medicine cabinet, vent fan with heater, mood lighting and WiFi speakers, new tile floor with radiant heating, new frosted window and new door and hardware. All for what should have been a 5 cent rubber washer and maybe some Teflon packing tape. 38:37
😂
I''ve said it all my life, start out to change leaking faucet washer and a fellow will have to go all the way to the water meter....
Few years ago my girlfriend spilled spaghetti sauce on the rug. That turned into ripping rug out then removing the hardwood flooring to be replaced with new ,removed a few walls to open up house and ceiling to make it cathedral. New windows and re wired a few rooms. 😊then had to remove radiators where walls were……plastered walls and paint. New outlets and switches.
Glad to know that I am not alone...😂😂
@@stevewhite3424 that’s funny how it works😂
All the great work you do for other people you deserve to do for yourself & a great job you did!
Congratulations Ray Ray. You finally took on a custom self-gratiating project. I've done so many of these over the years. It's always gratifying to know that no one else in the world has one just like yours
I appreciate your commitment to making this project as good as it can be. Never just make it work. Make it better.
Good morning from Roanoke VA. I love seeing the details on the Escarado and seeing it come together. It’s going to be a one of kind for sure
Hello, also from Roanoke..you are my morning coffee routine.
Glad to be here Ray!
Just a quick note, at 16:54 a tap and die set are for nuts and bolts, drill bits are for pilot holes!
You could drill a small 1/16" hole, and use a cotter pin or even a paper clip! Then hot glue from the back as you stated.
Another Great Video As Always!
I applaude your patience and your God giving talent...You continue to amaze me and so many of your faithful admires

On of these days ray you will learn WE ENJOY THE CONTENT YOU DO !!!!!! DOING THE DASH WOULD NOT HAVE BEEN BORING!!!!!! ..... hope that day is soon.
My thoughts on top of others complimenting you on your videos not being boring... I like your commentary especially in them. Without it they might be boring to just have dead air and no commentary. You're very good at it, thank you.
Spent many a years installing stereos, remote car starters... fun times!
Yes absolutely we like watching everything you do and I think we all are invested in what you do to your truck and want to see everything you do to it and love it
OMG Ray, what a project. However, I'm so impressed with the details you put into it. It looks amazing. I'm sure you mentioned replacing/recovering the front seats. Would love to see you doing the remaining details. 😏🙏🙏
Stay safe.
Awesome to have an update on your beast Ray, well done on what you gotten too so far mate. Having done a similar job I remember well the hours and hours my wife and I put into it but actually it was fun to do and the end results are what make you forget how much work there was. Yes please keep showing us the progression and anything else you choose as I love seeing the transformation.

Great call with removing the cloth material from the speaker grill Ray. Turning out to be an awesome upgrade to the interior!
Sweet! Nice to see i can paint all the black marks my son has left all over my interior panels with his boots and make them tan again.
Two pieces of advice from experience: 1 Rattle can is much easier with the Rustoleum sprayer. They clip onto all brands of paint. 2 APPLY CLEARCOAT! Clearcoat protects the paint from UV rays and gives you a cleanable surface. Plastics (interior and exterior) should be treated like exterior body panels, don't skip steps while prepping, applying, and finishing.
You don't clear coat vinyl dye...
Actually you can clear coat vinyl. Sem is a better paint to use.
@@justpray365Plus one on both SEM and clear coat. They have a satin finish that matches factory sheen
I'm absolutely loving this conversion series on your truck it's looking fantastic and I probably don't need to tell you but I learned a tip years ago when using rattle cans if you stand the can In hot water for a few minutes the paint sprays finer and better it certainly works for me
Tweeters are usually mounted higher in the cab so a B or C pillar mount might give better results. My two cents. Fantastic attention to detail as always Ray. Great work.
Thanks to your excellent videos, I took one of my door skins off to replace a wing mirror, all I’ve Learnt from you Ray gave me the confidence, cheers.
This scattered series of interior rebuild/upgrade has been interesting. Seeing it come together on a holiday weekend is like icing on the cake! Or should I say the cool whip on the pumpkin pie…🥧
Your opening choice of tune reminded me of not my circus, not my monkeys…yet the three ring circus you have created with this build has me looking forward to going into the big tent for the main attraction.
Another name you might contemplate is the Silvercade, main Silverado and Escalade accessories. Either way, nicely done joining the models together.
Happy Thanksgiving to you and the family! 🦃
I like the custom speaker work, it's coming together nicely.
Looking good. When one thing leads to another, but now you are heading to the home stretch. Love it when a plan comes together.
That's an AWESOME Chevy sign, up on the wall!
A couple of things about hot glue: 1) the darker it is the stronger it is. 2) Hot glue will not dissolve but Isopropanol alcohol will make it let go without dissolving it and leaving a mess. I can't wait to see the Rainman Ray Escradao 1500 Powerwagon badge on the fender.
She's going to be a beautiful truck when your done, no apologies needed, when I watch your videos, I can up and troubleshoot and repair my own vehicles. Thanks for sharing your knowledge with us.
Love the handheld items temp storage feature !!!
Love it. Reminds me of Johny Cash's Cadilac song. One Peice at a Tume.

A friend and I did the Denali console swap in my Tahoe. It was not an easy job and took more time than expected. But it was worth it!
The best bit about the AC centre console is that it keeps your drinks cold in summer!
wow that is intense the amount of work to rebuild the interior of a vehicle. you are half way done with
the doors! so you still have the floor and the remaining re assembly of the truck. great job! keep it up.
Sweet! Great work! Good for you for not getting discouraged by the snowballing level of effort!
Love watching you work! It’s because you do things right. Period! Keep on doing what you do Ray!
Hey Ray,
I have never posted something. Over the time I noticed that you might have lost some confidence in how you are doing with your channel.
Just want to tell you what an upgrade it has been since you left the old place. You have taken us along on this endavour of starting you own place and I love the content. My favorate content is where you are challenged. Thinking about the subaru, broken bolts, cramped spaces but also doing your own interiour now. I really like that kind of content.
And never forget to have yourself a great day, but more importantly, be there for your loved ones.
In my opinion you are (very close to) the pinnacle of honesty and good form. Both socially and mechanically.
I do wonder if you will actually read this message though. Hope this reaches you.
Love from the netherlands.
Nice job Ray. Truck looks really sharp inside.
Ray must really love that truck 🙂
Great job. I did this same refresh to a 1997 f150 stepside. Took 2 years to source all the panels to transform it to a Harley Davidson F-150. New engine and 5 speed manual, lowered. Looks fantastic. It's a ton of fun !
Fabulous video, Ray. Your truck is rapidly becoming SO impressive. Love what you’re doing to it, and I really enjoy seeing how you do it. Can trucks look ‘beautiful’? Yours does.
You are doing an amazing job and color scheme is a great choice. When you are done it will be one of kind. It is something to be proud about. ❤
Having also done work like this, what Ray has done here truly is a sh!t load of work! Huge respect. Great result!
Great work! Giving me motivation to finish fixing up my Tahoe
A Fantastic Custom Rebuild!
Kudos for your Skilz, Ray.
I love watching these project videos! You've inspired me to restore my old work truck! Keep up the fantastic work!
Don't you hate it when the OCD kicks in and you just can't STOP ..... I look forward to the next couple of months on this project .
Wow, Ray that looks great!! Very nice upgrade!! Doing an awesome job!!
Glad to see you are upgrading your you're truck instead of just buying a new one.
Similar to if you build it, we will come. If you perform it, we will watch. I enjoy your work and creative approach.
Happy Saturday Ray. Escarado Dirty Max it’s an awesome truck.
I have never seen such a boring task performed with such love and perfection as you have demonstrated with this project well done Ray and keep the great video's coming I look forward to seeing each and every one 🫵🤘👍🏻
thankyou Ray,,I thoroughly enjoy these interior/upholstery videos,,and yes, please show any footage re the dash going forward its all good content,,have a great weekend,👏👌👍
Escarado is my favorite Eagles song.
the interior upgrade looks great
Looking good, Ray. Would love to see the dash reassembly.
Starting to come together Ray. I think it looks great. I know you will really enjoy it. It's a true labor of love, and it will truly be a one of a kind Dirtymax.
I live in Texas and that truck would stand out here in the land of truckzillas.
Looking good Ray. I doing this with my Ram Cummins Tradesman. Everything is updated at this point except the door panels. I love the fact it has and actual shift lever and 4x4 lever on the floor.
The exterior has the '23 rear bumper, Fog lamps in the front, both are color coordinated. Spray in bed liner, mounting rails, 20 inch tires with 37" tires. On the interior, I traded out most stuff to the Laramie. 8.4 U connect, auto climate, new instrument cluster, etc.
Changing out the body mounts will make these old rigs feel new again.
I also love doing that kind of modifications to my car. I'm a Volkswagen guy, and I always do stuff on it that comes out of my imagination and creativity. My only problem is that sometimes I don't have the right tools for some of my ideas. But watching your channel has tought me a lot about being creative with what I have and what I can find.
Thanks Ray!
I love this series. I've been guilty of doing similar things to my vehicles. It means you're into a vehicle more than it's worth but it always makes me happy!
Ray I'll watch your renos on your Escarado any time !!
Thanks for the informative content @RainmanRay but as many others have said, you are too critical of what you think are "Boring" videos, i can say for example that as a novice mechanic who only does his own basic maintenance, I know well how to change a set of brake pads but still watch your brake videos every time! Even if its something ive seen before, its the Jokes, Gravity/Chineesium/BrakeCleen Sounds and all the rest you add while your working with your filangies etc that makes us watch as well as the information you share. You will probably find that anything you post will be appreciated but those unusual jobs even if they are boring to a wise mechanic such as yourself that really will be watched! And if someone finds it a little long or repetative .. there is always the option to skip forward a little .. those who skip it completely dont deserve your content! Keep it up Ray and thank you for including us
Excellent work Ray. It looks great man
This was a phenominal video! Thanks ray!!!
Ray my man, if you want to attach those rear door lights with a screw you have to pre-drill the plastic part.
Looks amazing Ray. 🎉
Wow such a big difference in the doors and they look amazing Ray , I'm now I spired to do this on my suburban 🤘🤘
Fantastic job Ray. I love the new look. Looks like new truck. Congratulations on job well done.
Those paints are absolutely fantastic and your truck looks awesome what a great idea!
I’ve actually used the Dupli-Color vinyl paint on an Express van I used to own. I was very impressed with the results. It was very easy to use.
I understand the enthusiasm for adding trimparts that are higher than the original vehicle. Way back when I was around 20, I had a 1982 Chevrolet Cavalier Cadet. It was the most basic car I ever owned and was 8 years old when I bought it, but I learned to work on cars driving it. My dad took me to a junkyard for parts for his car and I saw a Cadillac Cimarron and over the summer, pulled parts off it until it was crushed. It was fun little Frankenstein project.
Mad respect. Ray even got the thang on em at work. Never let em catch you slippin boss. 😁
This is one hell of a lot of work. Looks good.
Done the rabbit hole of self gratification. Looks great.
We are all gluttons for your mundane workings and ramblings and shenanigans. Bring on all you can give us of the upgrades.
Love the detail on this build! And a Rockford Fosgste kit to boot! 🤘🏻
Excellent call on removing the cloth from the speaker grills!
Thank you for sharing your time and video today .
May I humbly suggest you are a driven man your work ethic is applauded .
The Bob Ross of spray painting and interior installation 😎
All we need now is a cute little squirrel! 🤣
Those Panels are looking amazing. I love the little light addition a.d the tweeter speaker. Great work.
The Silverado is looking sharp. Job well done.
Welcoming back!
It's all coming together very nicely and looks great!!
Ray love all the custom work, you have a truck like no other, would love to see the entire project. Have a great day Ray
Good day to you, Ray!
Your truck is looking great, Ray. Nice job! 👍
Trucks looking great Ray 👍🏽
Another fantastic video 👍
The extra work is really making that interior look sharp. It will be interesting to see the finished look.
Awesome! Great ingenuity. A sweet upgrade. Love the Cadillac and GMC Denali parts and retrofit. A very impressive job.
Having done interior work. I dont blame you for not filming it Ray. It is tedious and agrivating. And not fun. I was surprised when you filmed the other videos knowing how much of a pain this kinda work can be. But as always great content and thanks for the video Ray
Ray those doors look sweet. Really nice job.
Looks real nice Ray.
Looking good Ray. Now time to look for new wheels for the truck
I don't usually like the upgrade videos, but upgrades to your truck are an exception, partially because you figure out how to hack in upgrades, partially because its your passion project rather than for some dude paying you.
Love the cubby for your “handheld type of item” 😎
You Ray are a renegade cowboy ! You always get the job done even if it's against normal operating procedures. Like not drilling pilot holes and using hot glue on a plastic painted surface. But you somehow always get away with it ! But many newbies may try it your way and mess up. I've been working on all aspects of anything mechanical since I was a boy and have mees up many times. Now experience tells me take your time and do it right the first time. Great job as always ! Go to a fabric store and find a matching color fabric for the speaker covers.
I've done similar work and upgrades to my 2005 and it's totally worth it, but I'm always changing my mind or re-doing things until it's finally how I want it. The project never really ends, it just pauses once in a while. You've got a really nice truck!
Ray this was art and crafts day along with paint by numbers. You showed how easy it is to spray paint the plastic parts of your interior nice I tend to watch all your videos I am assuming this has a factory amplifier, hopefully you installed a new one. Have a good day
Nice work ray was going to do my old Ford. I never even considered upgrading, now the wallets gonna get thinner
FYI: A little trick on hot melting gluing plastic to plastic (wire/door panel plastic), is to scratch up the plastic a little with course sand paper to create more surface area and increase mechanical adhesion (as in velcro), and also hitting the plastic gently with a benzomatic torch to create some chemical carboxyl groups which also improves adhesion.
If you are in doubt about what type of plastic you are working with, sand, alcohol wipe, and flame treat for surface prep. (Glue within 30 minutes)
I bought a plastic repair kit, basically a soldering iron with a flat tip and a bunch of medal staple things to reinforce the break.
I've used it a bunch already.
Good advice thank you
What is the melting templ of the glue? Being in FL the interior can get rather hot.
Some great tips there, Thanks!
