Garlic powder is dehydrated and has a slight roasted taste so using both adds more depth

I make this sauce base almost exactly the same but add shredded mozzarella and provolone and lots of Cajun seasoned chicken and red pepper flakes! Sooo good 😄

As a semi Italian, cream cheese in Alfredo is frowned upon but I had all the ingredients and leftover mushroom and chicken, OMG! You aren’t kidding! Best ever!
to be fair, alfredo isn't an Italian dish, it's more American.

I'm intolerant too, but you can have the Italian original version with butter (in Italy you can find without lactose) and parmigiano reggiano italiano (more than 20 months doesn't have lactose) ❤

I am a fettuccine Alfredo lover. I am very picky. This recipe gets 10,000 thumbs up for me. Sooo good and easy. I added mushrooms in freshly chopped Italian herbs …. I’m embarrassed to say that I usually would just buy the canned sauce or go to Olive Garden. But this recipes a game changer

Get this, you don't need three pounds of "Zaquisha's craw boil mix" in your food to make it flavorful.
Butter, cream, cheese, and pasta all have their own flavor, salt can help bring them out more.

Delicious recipe but you can always substitute the noodles for simple cauliflower...use a cauliflower pizza crust..use this sauce as a base and add chicken on top ..no cheese since the sauce is basically cheese..its a cauliflower Alfredo pizza
I suggest also adding a dash of sherry and some nutmeg. Really takes it to another level .

Lol I was eating Alfredo Mushroom Ham Pasta and I saw this short on my recommend
here’s my recipe that I always make which I think has a lot less fat;
- some garlic
- 1 tbsp flour
- 2 tsp butter
- 2 cups milk
- 1/2 cup cream (adjust measurements to however thick you want the sauce to be)
- any cheese you like (use as much as you want)
this creates the base for your sauce, now you just need to add seasonings according to your taste. I use;
- oregano
- salt + black pepper
- paprika
- siracha
- chilli flakes
-garlic powder
- chicken cube/ powder (for added flavour)

I just made this and it’s SO GOOD. I also learned somewhere else that if you massage your chopped chicken breast under cold water, drain, and coat with 1/2 tsp of baking soda it makes the chicken more tender. I tried it and IT WORKS!!
Fettuccini Alfredo is one of my favorite things to eat and make, this is pretty close to my recipe minus the cream cheese. seems a bit excessive, and isn’t really needed. but that’s just me 🤷🏻♂️

No need for salt or garlic powder. The parm has the perfect amount of salt and you've added all the garlic you want in step two. For a good Alfredo sauce you only need 5 ingredients. Butter, garlic, Parmigiano Reggiano, cream and pepper. So simple, so good.

Almost perfect just add a few good pinches of freshly ground nutmeg try it and you’ll always use it and you’ll recognize when you eat Alfredo without it 😊

You can’t call it an Italian recipe if it has cream. The original recipe is fetuccine al burro from Italy which is butter pecorino or parmigiano and pasta water

you can also make this with just butter and parmesiano. the parmesiano taste is way stronger without cream
Don't bother using cream cheese, it'll just clump in the sauce cause of it not being melted all the way and later make left overs solid when it should still stay creamy. Adding the parmesan is enough.
Although you're right about the clumping, I like the slight tang from the cream cheese. Plus there's never any leftovers of this in my house haha.

100% recommend that tasted absolutely amazing, I didn’t use the garlic powder but I did use 10 cloves of garlic which just elevated the dish so much.
