She and so many others got screwed at the 2000 Olympics during the all-around with the vault set to the wrong height. She and Mustafina were spectacular on bars.

Why aren't you a Gymnastics commentator for a major Sports network? Lance, you have great vocal communication skill.

That’s very kind. Thank you. It just never happened. I just share the way I see it and I’m glad you enjoy it.

this technique is very common for russians that’s why they had: mustafina, komova, korkhina, nabieva …

These videos have helped me so much thank you! They are the best I have seen yet in analyzing women's routines. I would have never known about a tap swing.

Muito legal suas análises, Khorkina tinha uma rotina a frente de seu tempo, muito leve e elegante.

The no grips is always amazing to me too!

Hi there, I’m wondering how or why people with long body types have more natural grips? What did you mean by that? And is only an effect on height, or does the effect also extend to body shape, weight/mass, etc…? Very interesting as I had always thought that height was a detriment rather than an asset

Thanks for your message. I have not listened back to it yet, but what I meant to say is she is taller, and therefore, I assume weighs a bit more and has more body to carry around the bar with her grip. I do not believe taller athletes have better grip. I believe in general have extremely good but for the skills she is doing with her taller and assumably, slightly heavier body, she has a wonderful grip all my best.

They never said that. He's saying that Khorkina must be really strong to not use grips because it's probably harder for her (due to her height)

The chinese tap is deducted for angle these days in women's gymnastics.

That is really helpful to know. It seems a strange rule to me as you could call any angle in any skill a deduction from that perspective. Interesting and thanks again.
