In the last leg of our RV trip we visited the Shepherd Center in Atlanta, Georgia. This is where Cole received rehab when he broke his neck years ago.

About Roll With Cole & Charisma:
Hey everyone! We’re Cole & Charisma. Since the start of our relationship we've gotten a lot of questions about how we make things work as not only an interracial couple, but an interabled one as well. We started this channel to bring people into our lives so we can answer some questions about how we navigate the world. We’ll show you behind-the-scenes stuff people typically don't see, and hopefully raise awareness surrounding accessibility and dating in a wheelchair. The most amazing thing about this 'Roll with Cole' series is that after seeing the sorrow in Cole's face after the first days after his accident and then seeing how he has transformed himself from such horror into being such a wonderful, sweet, caring, stoic, super inspiring, human being. I have never witnessed a book, movie, opera, or concert, that has brought me more tears of such joy, comfort, and hope than the content offered in Cole and Charisma's CZcams channel.
I watch them every day for inspiration and flicker of hope because we do have moments of low and self doubt. Thank you love birds.

Poor cole. In the throwback clips, you can see the pain in his eyes. He was so young and he had to accept his new life.
He looks much happier now.

The sweetest part apart this video is how the second thing Cole always said after Hi was introducing Charisma which was adorable! These people helped shape Cole and it was lovely to have him introduce more important people from his life. You guys are so sweet together!

The fact that all of these wonderful people are still there after 7 years says so much about the atmosphere of this facility. The love and dedication is amazing.
I worked a neuro ICU in the late 70s, early 80s and watching all of you is so wonderful! I’ve thought of the patients I cared for and always wondered how they did after hospital discharge. You are providing such a great example of the life possibilities after trauma.
It’s amazing and a bit bizarre as well to see how Cole deal with his life, with the path he chose. He chose to adapt with his difficulties, he chose to be happy, to move forward. This video gives me another aspect about the disabled, how strong and brave they are. Love and respect to you❤️

This was an emotional episode, thanks for sharing! The best was Cole's mom telling about her heroic moment helping her son in a very special way. I could feel the love right through my computer screen, blessings!
When you talked about people driving, it reminded me of an experience I had. I had been bedbound for like a year with my disability, and we moved to a new house where I could see the street from my window. I was laying there and I saw a woman jogging by. It was so bizarre. I had been so focused on my world of chronic illness that I had legit forgotten that people could go jogging and, like, weren't sick. It's a weird feeling!

I was thinking similar: what a blessing it is to be alive. I have a Tbi and other injuries lost lots of weight in healing too. I’m older now so wouldn’t fare as well if it happened now! Charisma is so good about wanting to be so involved with helping people with similar i juries as much help is needed. The internal struggle Cole has endured is so evident in this video. I can see the progress and growth in the passage of time. So nice to have a way to look back :). Your videos and direct involvement really help so many people.

This made me cry SO much!! My youngest brother had a closed head injury at 19. He's 50 now. Your video of therapy brought me back to his. Learning how to sit up again, walk, talk, eat...tears. You rock Cole. Thanks for taking us along on your adventures!
Hearing Cole’s mother say how reacted to seeing Cole panic his first time in the water was heart warming. This is the first time I considered all the pain, stress and hurt his parents endured seeing their child hurt and knowing that his life would be forever changed.
I love that your parents had kept all these clips. Wow Cole yew should be super proud of yourself yew really have come such a long way. As an intensive care nurse working with spinal cord injury patients seeing them from being on a ventilator to being able to laugh smile and talk again is such an incredible gift. Yew Cole however have gone above and beyond with your rehabilitation and are such an independent young man. Feel super proud of yourself. Yew have an amazing support system yew deserve all the happiness xxx

It is such an honour watching the journey Cole has been on. It is easy to see him now as such a confident and successful man to forget how hard he has had to work to get to where he is. Am a biomedical engineer and want to do neurological science for my 1st masters for you Cole, I believe jesus christ will tap your legs boom and you will walk my job will be to help see the improvement...am literally studying this course for you so that you run with your children that beautiful charisma will give you...you motivated me to study biomedical engineering next year I will graduate, see you mr Cole.
That's so amazing...you are amazing...its just crazy to know people have been in wheelchairs for decades and there literally hasn't been a cure yet....but I believe in science and I believe in the Lord even more that there will be a break through someday

Wonderful Easter. Church with family, food, and friends. You two are so inspiring. As an ICU RN, I "favored" TBI and CVA patients. Worked with a lot of PT's, OT's and ST's. Now my granddaughter finishing up her Junior year in Physical Therapy, goal is her PhD. She loves working with CVA patients. Keep being who you are and loving each other.
In some parts of this video I broke down and cried, I am so happy to learn from you all not to ever quit and to stay focus on your goals, thank you so much for what you all do!

When they told the story of him having a panic attack in the pool and his mother got in the pool fully clothed to calm down. That had me crying. I know I would do the same thing.
