A well-organized documentation system allows you to properly convey your concerns to family court professionals ( judges, GAL’s, evaluators, mediators and attorneys). “I would cringe when people would tell me to, ‘document everything,’ or ‘just keep documenting!’ Most weeks, documentation felt like a full-time job and sometimes it was. I was documenting everything and it felt like it was all in vain. Looking back, 99% of my documentation has never been submitted to the court and but, it was that 1% that ended up protecting my children. Documentation is the foundation but there is so much more to it. Once you have the documentation, it’s a matter of pulling it together and showcasing the patterns of behavior in a way that grabs the attention of those around you. It took years for me to fine-tune my system but once I did, it made a world of difference and today, my children have peace. I divorced my NPD sociopath ex-husband in 2008 and even though I had legal representation I had to reinvent the wheel to protect my son. I started documenting months before I filed, through the divorce, up until I filed for termination and during (3 years). I have an overflowing briefcase in addition to a trunk full of paperwork. We found internet postings, text messages, and emails the most compelling to get the judge's attention to his abusive behavior. Our termination/stepparent adoption has been completed for 6 years now. My son will be 14 in December. My ex has gone on to do this to at least 4 other women, all of which I have attempted to warn or help in the aftermath. Thanks for what you are doing to help people going through this. When I was going through it there was really no help available.
I actually subscribed to you. I listen to 100s of videos and I really resided with you. Thank so much for these videos. I’m glad I’m not alone in this journey I hope you can update us. On your journey, just as inspiration. I feel like I just entered a dark tunnel and I’m trying to find the light.
Thank you for this. I’ve informed my solicitor of every incident ect. Yet I felt let down by the courts not taking these into account and giving more access, leaving me worried about my child’s safety. I really do hope one day I do find someone within the system who gets it.

I felt..you were talking about my life. Just filed for divorce and took protection order. My kids getting sick with stress every time kids go to visitation over weekend.
I am going through this. Documentation is so important. I try to keep a digital copy of all my paper work in case something happens to the paper. Also its ready for when you need them. Rmember to create a digital filing and naming convention system that makes them easy to find when ready. All the best to all the parents out there. Stay positive, speak positive, stay strong.

Most of these parents dealing with a narcissist in court are struggling financially due to litigation after litigation. My sister who is a head nurse for the Union over 20 years is currently going through this. He has run her to bankruptcy and is continuing to fight. Do you offer a course that she could look at for documentation that's brief and doesn't cost anything?
If the GAL is bias, if the court is bias, if the therapists are bias, there is no documentation that can possibly help you because...nobody will want to see it as nobody will want to hear testimonies.
What is really needed is to fight court corruption by requiring judges and magistrates and any other "professional" involved in the litigation being made seriously accountable for their wrong doing. All the rest is useless.

Some easy way of document everything. I use sms backup+ and smart recorder. I do not write anything other than a normal sms with my X and I will never ask her to go to other ways of communication by text, and if I talk in person I use the smart recorder. By recording phonecalls you can use ACR callrecorder, but only if you are outside the EU due to new GDPR restrictions.

My wife started physically abusing our 3 year old son. I involved the courts to get him away from her and in a safe environment. Now there's a restraining order against me and my wife and son are living in a car. The courts don't care about children's welfare.
I am going through this now. He got to the guardian ad litem. She took his side and said abuse did not happen when though the police pressed charges and there where picture of bruises and the physical a abuse. She said I abandoned the home bc she stopped by while I was at beach and trash was back up.
I don't know what to do in my situation. What should the documentation look like...

I have strong evidence of abuse and validation of every claim I make, but I’m in California and recorded evidence isn’t admissible….?

Idk how anyone can afford this crap. I’ve spent 50grand in two years fighting people trying to get 2kids I took in (there parents died). Now everyone wants there benefits while i keep it in savings. Sick world. I feel I’ll never be done with it.

Hi. Thanks for the emotional support but I need Legal support. Indiana has no safety for HIPPA, FERPA and VAWA…. The Court inflated my income so that I disqualify for Pro Bono/Modest Means. Child abuser gets what he wants….. he’s a ISMC w/ a Degree & family. A referral for pro Se know how would be great! Thnx!
