It was nice for once to work on something that doesn't take half a year to make.
P.S. I'm still working on Dead Fantasy 6+, I happen to have a lot on my plate this year so please be patient. This was a nice (quick) diversion, also helped me test out some new equipment & software.

Fun fact: When he says that he did the choreography, he means he LITERALLY did the dances. He used Motion Capture to record himself doing the routine. Those are HIS gyrating hips, sassy struts and cutie-booty quakes.

Teknmas k Monty Oum was definitely an inspiration to me. Basically the only inspiration that ever existed to me. That’s why when I graduate from Tri-C East, I’m gonna be making some really cool stuff, thanks to him and his inspiration.

I miss him, his funny comments, his powerful talent, the great potential of his work. God, I just wish he had lived, it feels so unfair and it's so sad to see this wonderful artist go away forever. It has been around 6 years since he left, but I will continue to return to his animations, if I have children, I will show them his great talent. Monty, I hope to see you one day and tell me how this fanwork will end.

i strongly believe that there is no way on earth Tifa would have actually lost a fight against Hitomi. how the hell can Hitomi even use all that materia? not to mention she needed some dude to finish her fight...but amazing animation mocap and fantastic work. keep it up. loving what your doing with RWBY!!!

LOL! You have to realize that the majority of the DoA cast is outclassed by FF cast simply because they're regular people. In fact, this holds true in the DoA games themselves since the ninja characters should easily be able to beat the others (especially Ryu since he's killed like thousands of people AND demons in the Ninja Gaiden series 0.o). Basically what I'm saying is that of course the FF characters would win in a fight if they stuck to their lore, but that wouldn't be as nearly entertaining to watch now would it? Dead Fantasy doesn't even stick to the lore of the two games that closely, so any argument concerning whether a character could actually do something is invalid. If Monty says the character can do it, they can. :P

I also strongly believe that Tifa got her ass whooped by Hitomi and laughed my ass off the entire time! Hitomi showed her what REAL karate and apparently Wing Chun was! Not that materia-driven spam-fest that made her look like a firebender(although that's why we love her..physical/elemental awesomeness) but still, Tifa's well-known for her CQC prowess, but HItomi's got the skill to show Tifa who r haz been real Super Sand(yeah, I did). Either way, at the end of the day that combat is awe-inspiring. That Monty don't quit!
Actually, Materia is essentially a plug-and-play sort of thing. In Final Fantasy VII, usually you had to equip it to armor or a weapon to gain the effects, but in Advent Children you saw Kadaj just infuse it into his skin. Tifa had it infused in her skin, which let her use the powers. Hitomi knocked one out of Tifa, picked it up, and it infused into her skin. She probably used a materia power on accident yet quickly learned from there how to use the said materia.

I hope Rooster Teeth kept his work. The great thing is that it doesn't matter what program they use to animate. (Maya or Poser Pro) 10 years could go by and they could still add his work into scenes. I just hope they do and also have them backed up in case a drive would fail.

Strawberry Seeds add in that this is original choreography. It has no association with the song. The panning and zooming of the camera and the lighting changes, the control that he demanded would have been next to impossible with living people.
The precision that he needed could be achieved like this as dancer, choreographer, director, and lighting. Irl this would have been 2 weeks of retakes

TessMafia In volume two (ep 7?), when Team JNPR were dancing. There were other versions of it. One with the professors, one with grimm, one with Penny, Ironwood and her guards, and im pretty sure there was one with the villiains.

I love Cissnei, she's one of my faves. I also love her outfit, it's adorable and it's the one she wore on the beach with Zack in Crisis Core. Then again I completely love Final Fantasy.
