Hi Hector Garcia Hope your doing well. I have deleted some fixed assets which i was wrongly created with balance in quickbook online. They removed from chart of accounts but they are still showing in Reports of journal. How i can remove them from reports.

Hi Hector, just in time for me to need an updated COA for a client! Thank you!! Did you not teach about the Paste from Excel in the Items window because some people do not have access? Just wondering. I can't imagine every opening each item one at a time to change the account anymore.

Thanks for the helpful information. If one changes account names, merges accounts, etc, I assume that if you run reports for prior periods the new Chart of Accounts would be reflected in the reports. Is that right? Does that cause issues with audits (tax and otherwise) if previously printed reports or tax returns can no longer be traced back to an original source entry?
Correct.. you need to make backups for previous period audits... because you will lose the history for sure.

Hi Hector! Is there a video explaining how to clean the 'Owner Draw' account? My owner draw account has this HUGE negative number that has built up over years (not just from this current year) I don't know how to fix this, I can't find any help online. Adjust the whole thing against retained earnings, problem solved.
can you do a video on how to auto populate expenses. For example if i am entering a bill in quickbooks online, once i put the vendor in, the account it supposed to go to will auto populate.
DJTHECON on QuickBooks Online, the auto populate feature will enter amounts as well, not sure I like it.

How do I print or view a Chart of Accounts that shows the sub-accounts listed underneath the main account? I printed one in October 2020, but now I'm not seeing the same thing. The Account List that prints shows the accounts numerically and not with the sub-accounts indented.

Hello, When I uploaded my COA some of them where the wrong Account Type. But I have Parent accounts on most of them. How can I fix this without starting over?

Hi Hector... it is not opening as an excel file... it keeps telling me that Only QuickBooks company files. It is not giving me an option to open as an excel. What part am I missing?
QuickBooks can’t “open” excel files... so not sure what you mean
@@HectorGarciaCPA I tried opening the iff file to remove the top portion as you showed in your video. Did you open your file within QB? Thank you in advance for your help! =)
In another video, Hector opened a blank excel file, then dragged and dropped the iff file into the open spreadsheet. I believe he said in this video to delete the .txt extension after you save the file. Might be worth a try. Good luck!
