Every and I mean ABSOLUTELY EVERY SINGLE DO IT YOUR SELF VIDEO AND TUTORIAL SHOULD BE FILMED THIS WAY! No uneccessary intro and rambling! No bs and straight to the point..the Entire CZcams database needs to be replaced by this!
No seriously someone get this man a grammy for this short film
Might be one of the best instructional videos I've ever watched on CZcams. Only thing I would add is how to reset the computer. But very clear and able to see everything easily.
Finally, someone showed how to read the oil level on the dipstick. Thank you.
What's there to read?! Simply put the amount that owners manual says to put for the engine!
3.7qts oil according to Honda specifications (for 1.5L engine, turbo)
Perfect video, the only thing missing is he doesn't specify engine size, 1.5-2.0-or 2.4 this 4.4 quarts of oil capacity is for the 2.4 engine......
Loved the video. Personally I'm not a fan of Fram. Fram rusts out and their product are very cheap.
I usually use Mobil 1 M1-110A (you have the link to it in the description).
Other oil filters I use and I love for my CR-V are: K&N High Performance Oil Filter, or NAPA Platinum (I believe these are the Win XP oil filters). I even used the genuine Honda oil filters as well. Out of all of these, I like NAPA Platinum the most, but I love the wrench on the K&N High Performance Filter.
I use the Kirkland Signature 0W-20 Full Synthetic Oil (from Costco). It's only $30 for 10 quarts. That's such a great price for great quality motor oil.
I love Costco, Kirkland stuff is always great sure the oil is top notch too!
Checking the oil while vehicle is still up on a jack? You need to make sure vehicle is level when you do the final check of oil level.....
I like the Fram filter...especially those that have a grippy end on them. The grippy part makes it easy enough to turn off without a filter wrench. As far as rust out goes, I haven't seen an oil filter rust in less than 5k miles. However, would be nice to have some audio.
One thing, I have a 2018 CR-V Touring 1.5 and I used only 3.7 Qts (engine oil). It got to the max sign. Is that OK?
Wilson Garcia Romero, for that 1.5 L turbo engine, the oil capacity is 3.7 quarts, so you are correct. But check the owners’ manual for verification.
Just go off of owners manual mine also says 3.7 quarts so that’s good
Awesome video dude!! Keep it up!!
I almost sh!t myself and cried trying to remove oil filter.
Been there! Most shops seem to overtighten the filter and the drain bolt. SO my first oil change is more difficult for these reasons. UGH
Hi .
where is the sound ???
Does you vehicle need to be flat draining the oil?
Wow your video is amazing ty 🙏🏻
You did not put the jack stand, DO YOU? it's a different car (raised by hydraulic jack), different hand.
Thank you for the video, was total quartz 4.5qts?
Great video 👍
The manual says capacity of engine oil is 3.7 qts including filter. Why you added 4 1/4?
One is for the 1.5 turbo and the other is for the 2.4 non.
Those 10mm bolts do not exist on my 2021 CR-v. instead there are plastic Phillips head screws that to NOT come out.
Thank you
Not a Fram. I use to use them too. Not anymore. Try anything else. Good video and good oil choice.
No problem with FRAM filter been using for years they are well constructed there is a lot of unfounded hatred for FRAM no idea why cut open a used FRAM filter they really grab the carbon out the oil as well as the Honda filters made by Meyle.
Filter on Left Drain on Right and do not change crush washer!
DO NOT change any crush washers. Hand tighten both Filter & Drain.
Again
Do Not change any crush washers. 2015 Honda CRV has the original factory crush washer. I change my own oil and filter and my 2015 CRV never has leaked a drop of oil.
Is 5w20 ok?
Did you use a PH2 or what Phillips head, mine isn’t turning
Thank you 🙏🏻!!!
🥰 thank you!
Thank you!
Awesome video! love it!
Why is the oil so black. Is it normal to go that dark?
Once it goes black it doesn't go back
No sound
You forgot to tell how to reset the oil life indicator. That’s why I was watching the video. Looks like you only got about a quart out of old oil. You may want to check the level more frequently. Other than that. Well done.
I guess you can check the owner's manual? Otherwise, a video may show that.
Subaru Forester is better, the oil filter is on top. With Fumoto valve, DIY oil change is super easy and clean.
Why would you watch a CRV video when you obviously have a Forester? People watching don’t care about a Subaru. 😆
@@tigergreg8 thas what im sayin lmao, this guy jus came here to shit on hondas for no reason
Nothing wrong with a Subaru Forester. Oil changes on my 2011 Outback 2.5 were an absolute breeze. Spark plug changes were doable, but a little tougher than on an inline 4.
@JadaGiraffe how's he talking shit about Hondas? Almost all car manufacturers have the oil filter underneath the car.
Subarus are for fruits. Richard Simmons probably has one.
Thank you
