Climb into a royal carriage as Granny and Ben enlist your help to pull off the greatest jewel heist in history! Take a spin through the sewers on an immersive 360° special effects laden dark ride to break into the crown jewels vault! Can you grab the jewels and make an explosive escape? Careful, if the Feds catch you, you’ll be in a right royal mess!

I thought it was a very well put together little dark ride. There was an impressive amount of detail throughout the attraction with plenty of things to look at. It was also great to see a dark ride heavy on narrative at Alton Towers, it fills a vital gap in the lineup nicely and I'm sure it'll continue to be popular among families.

I have a little understanding that recording rides isn't easy, there's Sooo Many health and safety laws and regulations, which, I kind of understand, given I wouldn't want to be hit in the face with a camera from the person in front on the ride wanted to film, but you're doing a brilliant job!
I used to work at Camelot theme park as a rides operator (I'm in a documentary about the site, just search Camelot theme park abandoned and you'll soon find the documentary I'm in!) And I am gutted that in 2007 channels like this weren't more popular, I'd have had better videos to watch now!
Your Alton towers (UK) videos are amazing though, I'm working my way through them with a glass of wine or two!

I believe that the armour stand in the first room is the same one from hocus pocus hall from chessington
I doubt it they probably would have auctioned it.
I feel like they could of done better with actor's and no screens but instead more effects mixed in with actor's and robotic machines like the motorcycle scene it could've been like something 3D instead of cardboard and the explosion could've had more.
But it is what it is and the ride isn't bad I would say it just isn't what they hyped it up too be.

I really want Gangster Granny The Ride To Be On Planet Coaster.
Looks pretty weak, I saw queues for 3 hours for this, what a waste
i mean it only opened a few days ago so everyone (especially families with children) will be excited to ride it and it's the only new attraction, plus it's now bank holiday weekend and the half term for most families so the parks are super busy so im not suprised

@@HelloTimr i wouldn't say its dreadful - if you have younger children who like the book/movie then its a great ride but the queue isnt really worth the wait if you arent that fussed. i went 3 days ago and the queue was probably abt 2 hours long but it closes when its at capacity. the queue is usually moving at a good pace tho as the trains load at a regular consistent speed

@@HelloTimr yeah fair enough but also its good to think about how gruffalo was a retheme of a ride not a completely new one AND how gruffalo is a much older book then gangsta granny, so im 16 and i grew up reading it with my parents and grandparents and without a doubt gruffalo is one of the most popular children's books so the age range is much more inclusive then gangsta granny which is targeted at younger readers and a smaller age target audience

How does this ride work exactly? Does the chair move along a set of tracks or does the chair only stay in a single spot?
The vehicle moves along a track into the different scenes.

Not worth queueing for especially when it's raining and 100 minute queue. If this is your thing then it's duel all day long. Thought it was rubbish to be honest. After queuing I was just glad of a sit down for 5 mins.. But this is just 1 man's opinion
Im guessing this is what replaced charlie and the chocolate factory. i will say i was never a fan of this series of books as they came out after my time but the ride itself where a bit basic dose look alot more fancy than what was there before. and 1 thing is for sure its better than sub terror XD
The Alton Towers Dungeon replaced CATCF, this attraction is located in the building opposite.

It's actually pretty good when you ride it. I thought it didn't look too great when I watched the POV's.
