What do you think of Th13teen? Is it a must-ride on your visit to Alton Towers Resort?
When I was a little bit younger thirteen was my first real rollercoaster so it's always been in my heart
Thirteen is very cool
I’ve been on it a few times
Its a great ride
It was the first coaster I watched being built from concept to opening day as a 8/9 year old enthusiast. It’s the ride that started it all for me - It will always have a special place 💚🤎
Love the rollercoaster think it’s underrated yes the advertising was a bit off but that doesn’t mean the ride is boring or bad it’s a great ride
I love these types of coasters that run through forested areas.
Vampire at Chessington was the first I think? Legendary suspended coaster that was really tight in the forest parts, thirteen seems a lot more open.
Shut up
Same
When you're there you don't really see any of the track either. You can see the uphill lift and then the track going into the building at the top but that's the same building where the station is. So it genuinely makes you wonder where the drop actually is
yes, this ride is SO fun!
Going into this ride without a single clue what it's got is one of the most memorable experiences you'll have at Alton Towers.
Exactly what happened to me, had no idea about the drop !!
@@JayJay-tm9gxHappened to me too, was told it didn’t have any drops in it by a friend only to discover this.
Yes! I intentionally kept the surprise a secret and my friends were SHOCKED.
JoynoSnooze and Hex
Guys I’m telling you now do not underestimate that drop at the start, it made my stomach go 📉📈
Same but it was sooooooo fun at the same time
Omg same I screamed so loud
@@miaworth6936 ikr I went on it again, even after I was freaking out before going on it the first time, just because it was so good
I went on it for the first time today omg it was incredible
Its my new fav ride
Just dont underestimate the drop. Its scary 😭
yess
Finally a good pov of 13
Ikr
Good? Idk. Half of it is in the dark
So true
@@davedoesthingsdreaded because half of the ride is in the dark anyway
You don’t need a POV when you have been on it like me
0:55 I like how you showed the switch track reset, I love seeing that stuff
Us too 👌🏼
Me and my mom went on this today and it is one of our FAVS in the whole park! The first drop is MAD and when the floor dropped we screamed and laughed our heads of! And we were at the back! Honestly if you want a good experience for the first drop, really recommend going at the very back! This ride is a masterpiece and I personally LOVE it!
Glad you enjoyed ☺️
I went o. It yesterday your right it’s amazing
I went towards the back today
If you want an absolutely crazy drop go on the big one at blackpool pleasure beach
I hold my breath while going down feels like it’s more fun doing that
I went on this when it was pitch black in October, one of the best atmospheres for a ride I've ever been on.
I went on this October during the dark and it was amazing. It's much better at night
This ride was so fun! It was an hour wait but worth it. I didn’t know there was a drop at the end. When it went down a small bit, I thought it was over but no! It dropped again. Honestly its fantastic!!
Amazing. The 2nd reverse POV was the icing on the cake. The best Th13teen POV out there!
Thanks ☺️
LOVED the second perspective, facing backwards, was such a different experience, having rode this many times before. Thanks Attraction Source!
Most welcome!
Looking at the track switching, this could open up some amazing doors for rollercoasters. If you had the space for more than two tracks, the riders would never know which route they were going to take if it were random, or the other option would be there could be a vote panel for the riders to select at the early part of the ride for a totally new roller coaster experience.
Great idea!
what about one where riders vote to choose which path to go down, maybe one leads to a a cobra roll and the other leads to a launch?
yeah but tbf you’re paying twice the amount to have a track that’s only in use half the time
Already done lmao. Fury in beguim has riders vote if the want to go forward or backwards
@@cg_plays Not the same thing
Truly a great ride, but do not underestimate that drop
Bruh that drop looks so tame if you find this drop scary then you find every coaster drop scary
@@Joel38672if you see how people react after they get off the ride it always makes me laugh, they’re so dramatic 😂
@@Joel38672fr I went to dolly wood tn and on may way up of wild eagle a lady was sobbing 😭. People are so scared
I can't get to amusement parks, anymore, so videos like this are as close as I can come to rollercoasters. I tell you, I still feel the thrill in my neck & back of my head when the train drops down that first slope!
With my disabilities, I doubt that I'd be able to ride one in the future. I was always drawn to the more tame rides: wooden coasters with no loops. I loved the racer at Paramount's Kings Island! I always rode in the cars facing forward. I'd be saying: "Oh God, oh God, oh God" on the way up that first hill, then screaming in excitement the rest of the ride.
Thank you to content creators like you, who let people like me enjoy these rides!
What a lovely comment - thank you. Glad we can help.
The best video of TH13TEEN in its 11-year history. 😃
Very underrated, way more fun than I thought it would be
Great POV - Th13teen is a great ride!
Thanks ☺️
it seems like a pretty cool family coaster with a little bit of a spooky theme. id ride it and i would probably like it 👍👍
I love this ride. The drop in the dark caught me by surprise. Also I absolutely love the first drop once you’ve gone up, it’s so much fun :)
Would honestly love the reverse FOV of loads of alton towers coasters, amazing job as always
That's kind - thank you. The Galactica and Spinball Whizzer (well the lift, anyway) videos feature reverse POVs.
@@AttractionSource Awesome!
@@AttractionSource i suppose it’s not possible on nemesis, but it would be pretty cool on wickerman!
My stomach the entire ride was just: 📉📈📉📈📉📈📉📈📉📈📉📈📉
Amazing premiere!
Thank you! Our most popular one yet ☺️
It’s a great ride for first timers that is for sure, especially when they don’t know what to expect from it and that drop in particular is a massive surprise. However, besides that, there isn’t much to it after that because you know what to expect and it therefore ruins the whole experience. I guess some rides are made for one of experience such like Oblivion and that is a ride you tend to go on first to wake yourself up and don’t feel the point of going on it again on your visit, whereas rides like The Smiler and of course Nemesis you really don’t mind going on again and again and you never get bored of it because they have life to them. It will be interesting to know what the new ride will be since they are extending Alton Towers and I hope it is a ride that you want to go on again and again and never grow tired of.
Oh my days 👌 i remember going on this when it first arrived at Alton Towers ☺
Loved the experience, first drop was insane, the spooky cave was mind blowing, ooh the reverse got everyone surprised. A class of its own
this is one of my most FAVOURITE rides istg
I went on it today. Absolutely brillant!. Waited 1hour 45 minutes but worth it!
I love this ride I went yesterday and it was so fun. In my opinion, less rackety than Wicker man, I went on wicker man and it literally threw my head back like Rita, and when the first drop yknow, drops, it tricks you into thinking that you are standing up. Lovely ride Th13teen. When I was in the queue, the smiler takeover thing spoke and that literally gave me a fright. It did it aswell with the Wicker man. Overall I absolute top recommend this and is my unbeatable favourite.
it makes your stomach drop 😭 still fun thought, especially when you shoot off faster than rita into the station 😂😭
I loved the tiny kick it gives you before the drop, really catches you off guard.
Brilliant channel. Your videos are crisp. Your tron video was awesome.
Thank you ☺️
This looks like so much fun!!!
Honestly addicted to Ride POV channels lately. Yours is very well done. Subscribed. Also to answer your question: 13 would be a must ride for me as if I ever get to Alton Towers, I don’t know if I’ll ever get to go again.
Appreciate the support ☺️
Rode this for the first time a couple months back. Then 10 minutes later a second time, and 30 minutes later a third time. I’m terrified of rollercoasters, but this? LOVE it.
I love this ride
I like the little pseudo-launch into the station at the end.
Th13teen is my second favourite at Alton Towers after The Smiler, the drop always gets me and the speed makes me hold the lap bar for dear life😂
If your at Alton Towers after 10, start at Dark Forest because Th13teen and Rita are 10-15 minute wait times, after you get off them they’re like 40-60 so it’s good to start there
The bummer is that it closes if it rains, idk if it still does but it was closing every time it rained one time I was at the towers so I only got to ride it once that day
That issue has been resolved thankfully.
Very nice atmosphere for a coaster.
I love thirteen it’s underrated imo. Great pov
Thanks ☺️
I rode this about a week after it opened and knew nothing about the ride so that drop was a shock. But even when you know its coming, it still hits you
Ace! Love Th13teen!
same
fantastic ride love it
Looks like a fun coaster.
This was amazing
When i tell you i absolutely SCREAMED on the drop track HELPP i wasnt expecting that 😭
Let me tell you, this ride stole my SOUL!! You think the worst part is the drop at the start...oh no, it's the drop 2×levels then going backwards IN THE DARK!!!!
Went on this again on sat and its scarier than the wicker man, i always buy myself merch after as a treat for being brave lol 😍😉😃 great video, liked and subbed 🌞
This ride is amazing! I usually don't do roller coasters because of a heart condition I've got. I rode this because it was branded as "family coaster" and maybe it might be for those who usually ride more intense coasters. But I have to say, it was a lot of fun but also quite intense! Not sure it's an actually family one haha
Initially I was more worried about (SPOILERS AHEAD) the vertical drop. But that isn't actually bad at all, it's fun! What actually got me, was the first drop, that is intense and also very long! All in all, an amazing ride that helped me to push a bit the boundaries of what I can and cannot do. This is probably as far as I can get away with my heart condition and I really enjoyed it!
Nice tips!
Awesome one, guys 🥃
That looks fantastic, and so smooth too, it must be amazing to ride on!
It is lol
It's like the smoothest ride in the park. It's one of those rides where it feels brand new even when it's really old because of how well its been designed
ITS COOL RIDES EVER ATTRATION SOURCE...
I can't believe I went on this ride for my first rollercoaster but honestly i's my favourite ride out of all of the coasters i've been on
Same, I got tricked into going on it by a friend.
10k subs congrats!
Thanks ☺️
Rita, thirteen and Oblivion are my go to rides at Alton
That first drop is mint
I went on it today and the drop is dead mad!!
13. I will have to say it’s one of my favorite rides
What a good fast scary ride, went on it yesterday and because its scare fest again today 😂❤🎉
Really, really want to go on that!
I had absolutely no idea what to expect when I went on this and I am so glad about that!! It was very memorable, at first I was like this is cool, then I was just wtaf is going on?!?
Thi3teen is an excellent ride and I never understood the hate for it when it was fault built. It's amazing.
the drop is amazing
Quite a gentle ride really
I love alton towers so much I love 13 so much
I was front row first time and loved all of it
I love the rollercoasters they best I went on that one when I went Alton towers
It's my favourite went on it 3 times last week
Nice video ! I have just subscribed...
Love alton towers scarefest every year I been there
This was literally my favourite bc I thought it had ended at the like ‘scary’ part with all the eyes and stuff. When we dropped and went backwards.. that was so fun
Th13teen has aged so nicely, to think it used to crawl through the outdoor section! Really spritely these days
Very cool 😎😎
I remember when I first went on this. About 8 I think. I thought it was just a generic coaster. In the queue I got a little creeped out by the theming but just thought it had a semi creepy woods theme. I go in. Go onto the main section of the ride and have fun. Go up the 2nd lift hill thinking it was the station. Pitch black. I’m horrified because I think the ride has broken down. Then I hear the floor cracking and stuff. Then I just drop. The fear I felt during that drop and going backwards in the dark is something I can’t explain. Good times!
Looks like a good way to revamp so.e of these old mine train rides.
I love th13teen rid it twice once yesterday and once at Halloween however that first drop is way steeper than what you think but I love it 🤣
That actually looks like fun
Thi13Teen id my go to ride. Everyone should experience this ride an have their own opinion on it. This is my favorite coaster at the park and i always try to go on it when i can.
This has to be one of the best rides at towers the theming the queue lines the surprise drop everything is amazing. I rode it three times in one day because it was so good and not as scarily themed as it looks really enjoy this got to be one of the best family rides
This ride is amazing and I cannot wait to ride it for the first time soon, but eughh the sticky sound effects in its soundtrack make me go *EUUUGHHHH* fr-
1:53 was such a shock. I new it was themed and i new about the dark and the going backwards but this when you are sat right at the front was such a shock
I went on the 13 and it was really good it drops you
What! Strange ride!
Went on this for the first time when I was around 8 or 9 and for me this was the scariest ride ever 😂 I remember feeling like my stomach had dropped and ever since then I have loved rollercoasters so much!
It’s a great ride
A lot better in the dark at scarefest!
Went on it last week. Was convinced its a que for some scary forrest walk as i am kinda terrified of rollercoasters. It was pretty good ride as soon as i accepted my faith
Thirteen was a banger
5am: Just woke up from a dream and it was a dream of me going on th13teen. I absolutely loved it! Loved the drop and loved going back.. I've never been on the ride before because I hate roller-coasters and my anxiety gets bad when in any que line. I know if I was to go on it irl then it would be nothing like my dream. I'm going in November for a family day out / watching fireworks. Going with my mum borhter aunty and 2 cousins 💕
*edit* I wanted to ride it when it was just past my 14th birthday. We went because I was pestering to go. And when it came round to going on it, it was shut :( whenever it opened we would normally be up at galactica *my only favourite ride*
Enterprise is a good one to go on if you hate intense rides
Please go on it it's so smooth. It's a great ride. At Blackpool took me along time to get courage to ride ' The Big One' , I mean a few times visiting I'd put it off. Then when I did go on it ....loved it, went on 7 times that day. So go on it , you will feel amazing after ..honest 👍.
@@Paul-11 what’s it like when it goes back? i’m not nervous anymore about going on it, it’s just i have no idea what the tracks like going back. it looks like it curves, but idk how many times it curves 😅
@@urxntia It’s great, you will want to go on it again. 👍🏻
My first thought was, "it's like the old Goldrusher at Magic Mountain". But then, the track switched and I thought, "hmm, this is different".
I went on this with some school friends in 2011, good times. I think it had just opened.
That was cool it was the dark for me lol
2:46 basically where the ride ‘drops down’ thirteen is like one of those GOT TO GO ON rides
Yes it the BEST
I love drop track coasters
I went on every single ride it’s sooo fjn
This is the first ride that i wasn't scared
Galactic is the scariest
Very cool coaster. I love the theming and decor. I totally ride it . But it be funner if it was faster and taller. It be cool to have jump scares on it to. It would as to the theme
Agree - would love to see the theme extended to a dark ride section.
Once I went on it when it was my eighth birthday and I was very scared after it but now I want to go on it again, it was fun.
Yes. Its not a really wild ride...more pleasant. Had two days in September. Managed 5 rides on thirteen.
When I first went on this the drop in the dark really threw me off guard
Fantastic pov guys as always! Th13teen is a great family coaster and fits really well with the area, however it still feels quite lacking in our opinion when it comes to a thrilling experience.
Thanks! If it was marketed as a family attraction then we'd all think so differently about it!
@@AttractionSource exactly! Definitely not something you would EVER have to sign a waver for lmao!
