- What is going on guys! In this video, I'm giving my thoughts on the announcement that Zenimax plans to make huge changes for Elder Scrolls Online in 2023, with the 2022 retrospective letter from Matt Firor.
I think it's a good thing that they're planning to make some big changea. However, Elder Scrolls Online has been đ© for a while now, and it's time for something new and exciting to come along and improve the game. But give Zenimax's track record ill 'believe it when i see it' they have failed time and time again with broken promises. Regardless I'm cautiously optimistic about the future of ESO, and I look forward to seeing what changes Zenimax plans to make in 2023!

They say it's difficult to fix the game because of all the lines of coding they have to sift through.....
so what better idea *during the game's most critically flawed period of performance* than to add a whole bunch more lines of coding with a new zone, new dungeons, and new story lines....
They need a whole year of no new content. not even a re-skinned guar mount...just dedicate the time solely to fixing the game.....Istherenooneelse said it perfectly *if the game doesn't work, who cares about new content*
Yes but it would never happen because no new content means no cash flow outside of subs and in the end that's all they care about because that's game "development" these days. Imagine how many millions they lose even from skipping just 1 expansion. It doesn't matter as long as people still pay. It's all up to the players whether or not the game gets fixed. Stop buying shit, and they'll fix the game.
Still wouldnt fix their main issue. They butchered the unique class identities and ruined magic and stamina identity .

That is what ZOS does to their players, after 8 years and over 8 thousand dollars spent (housing, crates, DLC, Buying things for guildies, and crown selling) I finally realized this and i jumped out....
The most anyone can do is warn new players about what they are getting into.

Six years of them shitting the bed every three months and leaving the players to clean it up for 15$ a month got pretty gross, the devs at ZOS really don't eat healthy, when they shit the bed, it's not just in the bed...they track that shit all over the place.

Honestly for cyrodil pve try playing oblivion
Cyro has 4 campaigns, 40-something skyshard plus 2 to 3 skill points per town to gain plus hundreds of lorebooks to find. I get the allure for a casual pve skullker to have all of it in one zone. Would it be too much to make one of the campaigns dedicated to that. I mean HI introduces peace talks. So would it be much of a stretch to have one version of Cyro where fighting is if not verboten then at least invitation based. Same with IC. Wouldn't that improve the balance and performance on servers where the actual fighting is going on?

ESO is funding their new IP and Iâll bet their A team was moved from ESO to said new IP. Iâm highly skeptical they will fix anything at all.
ESOâs current state is sad.
This is all bs, heâs basically saying the plan is to spend less money in the game, because âimproving systemsâ can be fudged to mean anything, like hey we made a better ui for the card game!

ESO will be New in 2023. There will be a new broken set a new broken mythic and we will nerf the new mythic in the next upcoming new updates that follow. Also we will nerf those new sets and release newer broken sets rinse and repeat introduce new overland

I played eso pvp for 5 yrs, but deleted the game after last patch. Its a different game regarding skills, atributes and builds. Not to mention constant lag.
Played mostly pvp since morrowind. I got tired of constantly having to update my sorc to stay relevant
2017 - Zenimax comes out with last pvp content and says they are going to fix major performance issues
6 years later - Zenimax still hasn't fixed performance issues or came out with any pvp content; Devs censor the constructive criticisms of PvP'ers and even mock them for complaining in spite of waiting years for nothing but the game to get worse for us; PvE'ers who have had dozens of content added to game in past 6 years and didn't have anywhere near the issues PvP'ers have had often tell PvP'ers to stop complaining and accuse them of being overly negative and "trend hopping" when they do complain about the state of the game from a PvP persepective.
2 patches later - The game is now broken for PvE'ers and PvE'ers are quitting en masse and complaining about the state of the game for PvE'erz
This reminds me of how Cartmen on South Park hated gingers until he became one, then he immediately did a 180 and played the victim role, leading the Gingers in a revolt.
I figured out what ZOSâs big new change will be. They will trap us all inside ESO like in the sword art online anime so we can never leave the game, unless we pay thousands of dollars on crown crates for a -0.00001 chance to escape. đ
i almost guarantee the new system will be some sort of harder overland to play through all the zones again for additional rewards - easiest thing to do with the most amount of content provided - new game + so to say...

Imho, this kind of option is dearly needed since the entire overland has been made piss easy with one tamriel, only place I can't fist fight the entire area naked is crag...
Make hard for newbie to jump from overland to a vet dungeon, and forbid they land on a vet DLC one

i haven't played in about a month and probably won't until they give me a reason. i am admittedly a "casual" and need a reason to play other than group content, which was barely provided in the last expansion. i need a new class or weapon or something to get me to roll a new character.
PvP aside: I really wanna get into this game. I love the PvE side and want to see more of it (raid wise, I've never done one.)
But I feel like I'm underperforming majorly when it comes to DPS. No matter how much I've read up, followed guides, etc.. I do like.. 25-30k DPS max. When the build/rotation I follow to a tee (aside from the raid gear builds) is like "100k DpS iNsAnE dAmAgE". I just feel a little lost lol
MagDK, 900 CP, all legendary gear and optimal enchants.
Vets and players who have been here for years will or should understand this video and your hesitation. Newer players , not so much.

I'm honestly just looking for 30-50% improvement on the lag at this point. I get it, it'll never be solved but making it a little better is at least a step.

Been a ESO Ps4/5 player since launch, and I can finally say I'm so done with this game now. It's a complete mess now, and there Is no fixing it.
This is why I prefer your content Zilla. Just finished watch Hack the Minotaurâs video about this and it came off as him buying into the fluff.
Like yes I do have a bit of hope with them admitting they spent to much focusing on the new solo questing players and not enough on the veteran raiders and pvp players and yes happy they are finally stopping this year long story.
But that doesnât mean we should forget ZoSâs long history of not living up to promises and ideas. You donât forget that which is why I prefer your content youâre not afraid to call a duck a duck.

they still dont realise, gem of this game's popularity and existence on social medias is PvP and combat . What keeps player in game is pvp, not story or dungeons. Roleplayers come and go for them. They cant see their strong point for years..

Zenimax has to get more serious since at least I'm talking about consoles specifically xbox one there I've already seen several players with a kind of hack or mod and all the ones I've seen are magicians and they're mostly duplicated I've seen them in auridon and rift In other words, before they focus on putting other things that zenimax take into consideration the players that if we are legal and they are going to take serious measures with those players who are cheating within elder scroll online it is incredible that within such a prestigious game they exist and they find those types of problems that at least personally disgust me to know that within this game, which is precious, they find that type of people making use of those hacks or mods and I mention this to see if I doubt it a lot but I hope Let Zenimax take action on those matters that have to be a priority and... something else that better optimizes the game.

no one wants to hear it but most of the lag in cyrodil is having to compute all that cp. i honestly dont see the need for it. 90% of players all have the same cp anyways so might as well do away with it and eliminate the excess stress on the servers.
At least they admit they're running on spaghetti code. I fear for ESO even in the pve side since Galen was woke cancer. Pretty much a dead game to me if that continues.

They've done a lot of good with the sticker book and companions, but now crafting needs a rework, with hirelings that actually work for you and enabling you to do the daily tasks in your owned home! Making craftable sets stations capable of storing multiple sets to cut down on how many stations you need in your house.
I agree housing should have way more functionality like farming etc
I think it's to late for these change's they should done those way back when these issue's first started but now we have new mmorpg game's that came out that pulled people away from ESO and the new mmorpg games are taking over with Real Engine 5 or have better server with no lagg.I played ESO since it first came out and nothing has changed and that's why I'm not playing it anymore there is better mmorpg now than ESO. This game has been around since 2014 and they currently canât get something as basic as blocking to work properly. Theyâve been trying for over a month and havenât solved it. This is a paid service mind you. Let that sink in.

This is an amazing game with tons of content, tons of effort into making it a great game yet people just constantly nitpick it, I literally look for reasons to be upset about it, I think that says a lot more about the person than the game, enjoy the game or shut up and stop playing. Itâs very simple, remember this isnât your game, stop trying to make it about you, and what you like, thereâs plenty of people such as myself I completely enjoy the game and are fine with exactly however, it is, remember, youâre the minority not the majority and itâs not even close
