- Here's one of my number one favorite things to do on CZcams: buy grab bags off of eBay and see how they are so that you don't have to! I always loved checking out the different things that were available when I was younger and didn't have the $$$ to spend on them, but now that I'm older and have a bunch of viewers that will enjoy the unboxing, I can go for it! There was definitely a variety of coins in the mix here, from silver to graded coinage to proofs to some fun bullion items, but the big question is whether it was worth it or not. While I cant make out the reverse, I can read the obverse enough to tell you that your roman coin is an Antoninianus (double denarius) minted under Gallienus.

You know what would be interesting...is if you take this video and update it to include the value(s) two years later and see if it comes out ahead or lower. I've seen this done with Antiques Roadshow
I'm pretty sure the Roman coin is an (emperor Gallienus, Antoninianus) these coins were originally minted at a pretty high silver rate but by the time of the late Roman Empire during the crisis of the third century these coins were barely washed in silver probably contained about 1 to 2% silver and rubbed off very easily in circulation and very few survive to this day that still have much silvering intact! Definitely not the most expensive coin but cool history and fun way to get into ancients!

The war nickels have manganese, which is extra hard to process for refineries.
All my local coin shop add 2 to 3 dollars to your price for each coin. Even in the junk bins.

$17 for the $50 lot and $50 for the $62 lot so massive rip off for the first and not so hot for the second.

Those 70 D pennies if graded are about $15 apiece if they are 65+ and up from there you could get lucky and get a 67 that would make the bundle worth it

What amazes me is the cost to sell these on eBay. 20%-25% then shipping. A fool and his money are soon parted. The seller is just as foolish as the buyer. A person learned in coins would never buy this junk and then have to flip it on eBay. The buyers are dumb as F for buying grab bags. If you want junk coins stop by your nearest coin dealer's shop. Some days they'll pay you to take the junk. But then, people buy all sorts of junk. This waste of resources is why we have the economic crash we are experiencing today. Collect the love of oneself and others. These are more prcious and above all, embrace austerity.

Village buying a bag of jewellery that's already been sorted out for $5 you just never know what there's going to get yeah right the same thing with this it just doesn't make sense in some work I think it's kind of stupid because people gone through all those coins they're not going to give any good coins away they're not that stupid

Like buying blatantly scam grab bags and expecting not to be ripped off. You could probably buy all that down the local coin shop for less than 50 dollars. Seriously cheesy. Keep up the information campaign against these ridiculous rip off bags.
