Good to see that they are both looking great. Sorry about the mislabeled Echinopsis rainbow burst. Like I showed you, the twin of that cactus that is with me flowered and that’s how I found out that it is instead a Parodia ottonis. Sorry! I hope they flower for you soon. 😃
It’s fine Ana 😊 I don’t have a mature ottonis so I’m just as happy it being that, plus three of the others you sent are definitely Echinopsis 😊 Hope they bloom soon as well. Thank you for watching and commenting as always Ana, from Edith & myself, have a wonderful day 🌵☀️🌼🌸🌺🏜☕️
What a WONDERFUL re potting Daz :-D we really LOVED watching the re potting and we agree with you too with the plastic pots taking too long to dry out, especially with the more delicate cacti, Clay pots are so much nicer and safer for many of the cacti but they are like gold dust to find for sale especially with drainage holes in them haha, your cactus mix is the BEST Daz, we can't believe how well our cacti have been growing already in the past couple of months since re potting many of them in to your mix, the Parodia's look so FAB in their wonderful terracotta pots, thanks so much for sharing the wonderful repotting and Hans and I are sending you and beautiful Edith lots of love and happiness and PLANT POWER to England and Singapore for a sunny Wednesday ahead XXXX
Thank you so much Lyn 😊 It was just these types of plastic pots I’ve been finding have taken longer to dry out, it’s like they’re glazed plastic if there is such a thing lol. I think the material and the fact these two plants weren’t in my new mix is why they were taking a bit longer to dry out, I’m pretty sure I used this style of pot in my soil mix video when I did the drainage/drying test and it dried out completely within 3 days, strange 🤔 I do like using terracotta but they can be a pain to get the plant out when it comes to repotting again, but shouldn’t be an issue with all the grit, lava rock and pumice in there 😊 Thank you so much again Lyn & Hans, from Edith & myself to you both, have a wonderful Wednesday ❤️🌵☀️🌺🌼🌸🏜

Look so much happier in their new pots already and they looked healthy even before the Repotting so they will just get better 😆
🌵👍🏜️🌞🌞
Thank you Claire, yeah they should do a lot better now, wasn’t a fan of those shiny pots but they won’t go to waste. Thank you for watching and commenting, from Edith & myself, have a wonderful day 😊☀️🌵🌼🌺🏜
Wow! Using bare hand to pot Schlosseri! Its tricky 😂. Love your mix. The sound it makes when you put the media into the pot, i know its good 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻. So pleasing, neat and tidy and x2 bonus pups 🎊🎉🎊🎉
Haha thank you my friend, some Mammillaria and Opuntia are the only ones I won’t use my bare hands on 😂 The plants will do great in this mix now, lots more repotting to do though. Thank you for watching and commenting, from Edith & myself, have a wonderful day 🌵☀️🌼🌸🌺🏜
So clinically done...
To perfection.
Haha thank you 😊 Thanks for watching and commenting 🌵☀️🌺🌼🏜
They look really great! All refreshed and happy. 🌵❤️
Thank you, Natty 😊 So many more to repot though haha. Thank you for watching and commenting as always, from Edith & myself, have a wonderful day 🌵☀️🌺🌼🏜
The light green 1 I have and I always thought it an Echinopsis as it's got no label. It's very bright apple green and I love the neat form. Not flowered for me yet.
Great repotting, they both look very healthy!
Plant Mama Tatiana thank you 😊 Thanks for watching and commenting, have a wonderful day 🌵☀️🌼🌺🏜
Really interesting and informative vid, Daz.. thankyou. Fiona 🌵🤗👍🌵
Thank you, Fiona 😊 Glad you enjoyed, thanks for watching and commenting, have a wonderful day 🌵☀️🌼🌸🏜
As always Daz. Awesome video
Thank you as always, Ken 😊🌵☀️🌼🏜
Hi Daz! Very good repotting tutorial. Both plants look very healthy and happy in their new pots. Nicely done 👍👍
Thank you Molly, I maybe should have included some care tips, but I will for future repottings 😊 Thank you for watching and commenting as always Molly, from Edith & myself, have a wonderful day 🌵☀️🌼🌸🌺🏜
I have 2 parodies that I'm going to repot together....in a taleveria pot!! So cute!!!
Sounds awesome 😊 Thanks for watching and commenting 🌵☀️🌼🌺🌸🏜
Yep all good for a well-established cactus, but I am still not 100pc sure
On this mix for pups,it's just a me thing that go's back to when
(And still am)I was into orchids.
One of the many things that a lot of orchid growers got into was perlite
With everything ,then the round fired clay canna pebbles, then some was
Messing about with coconut coir, all Sorts of man-made product's,
Instead of looking where that orchid came from,so it's not you ,it's me,
Still a very enjoyable vid, and well done Bill.
Thank you 😊 It’s all about experimenting really, trying out different things and seeing which works best for you. Cacti pups aren’t really fussy about what they root into. I’ve even used pure Akadama for rooting and that works great, too. Thanks for watching and commenting 🌵☀️🌼🌺🏜
Lindo cacto, o substrato bem soltinho
Thank you 😊 This is a great substrate to use, the plants love it. Thank you for watching and commenting, have a great day 🌵☀️🌼🌺🏜
I love the thumbnail, Sweetheart. ❤️ Well done on the video. Straightforward yet very interesting. Well done on the repotting too. I would have probably trimmed the roots more but “different strokes for different folks”. 🤣 Others would probably ask why trimming of roots is good when repotting. It forces the plant to grow more vigorous roots and prevent bacterial growth thriving in dead roots. Those plants look so plump and healthy. I’m sure they will thrive in your new potting mix and will give you lovely blooms soon. Thank you for sharing, Sweetheart. ❤️🤗😘♾🥰❤️
Thank you my love ❤️ Yeah I will try some root trimming in future repottings, Aloes will be coming next so they will be good ones to try it on. I think I got these out of those nasty pots just in time though, these pots seem better suited for growing epiphytic cactus in, so they won’t go to waste. Glad you enjoyed babe, thank you as always for your love, support and encouragement ❤️🥰🤗😘♾❤️
Cactimania perfect timing for repotting then, Sweetheart. ❤️
Excellent, and then some bloke in Kent sent you another one 🙄 😄Should have watched this one first 😁
Haha it’s okay, Ziggy. I have one from Ana and one from you now, makes them extra special 😊 Thank you for watching and commenting. Have a lovely day and weekend from Edith & myself 🌵☀️🌼🌸🌺🏜
@@Cactimania Aww, you too 😊😊
Very cute, both Parodia (and the babies) and very clean repotting. Where do you buy that pretty small lava rock? I can´t find something like that here in Spain and always end buying the 1-3 cm. rocks that I have to breack in smaller pieces... but it´s very hard! Hahaha! I don´t either find in my town the small horticultural gravel, that is common in other countries, so I have bought small italian pumice (because the acuarium gravel is very expensive). I always love the neat looking of my plants when top covered with rock. And yours are always photo-ready!
Thank you, Vanesa 😊 I get my lava rock from a German company on Amazon called Der-Naturstein-Garten, pretty sure they’d ship to Spain as well. I always like to top dress my plants, looks nice, keeps those annoying fungus gnats away and helps with the top layer of soil not washing away when you water. Thank you so much for watching and commenting, have a wonderful evening 😊🌵☀️🌼🌺🏜
@@Cactimania Thank you Daz! I agree with you, always top dress most of my plants for the same reasons and also because they look prettier that way. I'm going to look for that company and try to get some of that cute tiny lava.😁👍
Mmm I looked Parodia Ottensis up on Google and it's not the same as mine. Mine is more teardrop shape with the crown being much wider than the base and the areola (or whatever they are called on cacti) are larger and more pronounced on the Parodia. I guess I need to see it flowering to be sure 🤔
Yeah sometimes waiting for a flower is the only way to get a positive ID on some cactus, I’m confident mine is Parodia ottonis as Ana bought it in a pot with others that were identical and hers have flowered. Thank you for watching and commenting, have a wonderful day ☀️🌵🌼🌺🏜
could u share what kind of camera and tools do you use for the video plz/
nguyen pham I use my phone to record with, mostly on a tripod. Also use a LED light for better lighting. Maybe I’ll do a video in the future on the exact equipment I use 😊 Thank you watching and commenting, have a wonderful day ☀️🌵🌼🌺🏜
@@Cactimania thank you 🙏, I would love to star my channel 😊🙏
