    Description: A simple, globular cactus that may later produce offsets and later usually forms into a clustering plant. Can grow up to about 5-6 inches tall. Produces beautiful, bright yellow flowers at a young age.
    Sun: Partial to direct sun
    Water: Once every ten days in the summer to once every two weeks in the winter.
    Frost: Not frost tolerant

      Thank you for watching our video! There are many differences among these cacti varieties such as place of origin, colors of the flowers, as well as sizes of the blossoms, and how tall or wide they can grow. For example, Notocactus varieties come from parts of Argentina, Bolivia, Brazil whereas Mammillarias are native to Mexico, but some varieties come from Southwest United States, Columbia, and Venezuela. Notocactus ottonis produces large, yellow blooms, whereas Mammillaria elongata will develop small, pink blossoms around the top of plant. Hope this information helps!
