Man I didn’t realize it was Mexico color grading in Tennessee already. This year is flying by.
😂
I wish he didn’t add filters to every single video is cringey
@@SuperBikerboy101 but yet you watch every video shut up and stop bitching what another man does

Really going out of your comfort zone switching from a Glock to a Glock! They are a good option for sure!
Most underrated comment under this video.
brave dude, not afraid of a challenge, I appreciate it
Surprised that’s the choice he went with, I thought it was a large change
Hahahaha Glock how quaint
Hey Glock is the best. All he had to do was get the slide machined and cut, put in a new trigger, change the barrel, the sights, have the grip stippled and ground and cut. Great carry option though……
The amount of love people have towards Burn Notice is truly a magnificent thing to see.
Amazing show!!!
Burn notice was one of the best shows released and I don’t feel bad saying that in the slightest
Chuck Finley
…god I loved that show…😅
Magnificent yet depressing at the same time.
I actually appreciate the fact Lucas showed and was honest about him forgetting to chamber a round for the stage, he could have just as easily had that cut out of the video, but they kept it and I like that they showed it. Keeps everything feeling human aka we all make mistakes
also thumbs up for Burn Notice
He is a wannabe mall ninja - nothing more. Yay - he can shoot well in competitions and more power to him for that earned skill - doesn't mean you should listen to his mouth drivel. Listen to Massad Ayoob, Larry Vickers, James Yeager (R.I.P.), Pat McNamara, or any other military, police or corrections officer that had intense firearms training. This wannabe neighborhood watchman shouldn't be telling you about anything that involves life and death. (edited for crappy grammar).
@@justanothergunnerd8128
1) all of those people you have mentioned have said at some point or another something I disagree with in terms of tactics or firearms in general, yet I'm still able to find the value in some of their opinions and experiences.
2) why are you concerned about who I do or do not listen to? Why do you care this much?
3) being military, law enforcement, or (the kicker that you've added) corrections doesn't mean jack shit. There are plenty of people in all those professions that speak from a position of authority but can't shoot worth a damn and their tactics are fucked.
4) I'm sorry your feefees got hurt by Lucas at some point, and forgive me for using this word, but the way you just approached this is super cringe. You seem to borderline hate Lucas yet here you are on the video. Not only that but you're telling a random commenter, (me) who did nothing but point out I appreciated Lucas showing him making a mistake and owning it, who I should and shouldn't listen to. Mighty elitist aren't we?
@@justanothergunnerd8128 lol. Mas is on video saying he doesn’t trust people without a license to conceal carry. No thanks man. Ill take 2nd amendment lovers like Lucas over any of the Federally Screened people you crave the love of.
@@johnnybagofdoughnuts4193 "doesn’t trust people without a license to conceal carry..." Ayoob is knowledgeable, but he's a gun 'elitist' and gives me the impression that be believes only cops or ex-cops that shoot a qual course once or twice a year (LMAO), should be allowed to carry.
Our "license to carry in the 2nd Amendment, period!
When my wife and I got our first house a few years back, I was still carrying a P229. I was working on demoing stuff one night and took a photo of my 229 sitting next to a cup of yogurt with the mess in the background and set it to my mom. She immediately got the reference and loved it.

That was a phenomenal show.
I’ve carried a P229DAK since the early 1990s. Smooth shooter.
So excited for the new video! I needed some more of your inspire part of your mission. Your guys have inspired me to train so much! It’s no longer a hobby - it’s a duty. Keep up the good work.

I’ve carried numerous firearms and hilariously the only one that I’ve ever actually used for defense was a charter arms undercover I had thrown in my pocket when I went to walk my dog one night last year. The best gun is the one you have with you
I recently got a 5 shot J frame M&P .38spl . Summer carry. Is it great? No, not really. Is it small & low wt? Yes. ✔️ I often carry my 2020 era gen 5 Glock 26 9mm. It's + because you can quickly load 17rd 9mm or 15rd Glock mags.
Thank you for stating that. I get so tired of people asking me what the best gun to carry is. Train with what you carry. And be sure to carry.
Be sure it works when you need it too as well. Test the ammo you bought as well. You could have a bad lot of your expensive carry ammo and it could jam, or shoot higher than your training ammo
James Yeager made the video about you. czcams.com/video/w1abQHhjgp4/video.html
A very informational and much needed video. The way you humbly express just how skilled you are continuously inspires me Lucas. I hope people are paying attentions to vids like these. A great way to test these guns is getting them on the field and seeing how well that particular tool works. It's extremely important to do what you're doing in terms of checking the functionality and durability of the weapon. Do the tolerances change when the gun heats up or does it have issues with different types of ammunition? etc. Then again it's hard to put a complete guarantee on anything. Training is definitely the answer and I think people should carry the same gun and ammunition they train with. I prefer something that I'm very comfortable with that I know is going to perform very predictably and that only comes from actually shooting your gun and training with it regularly.
Your thoroughness and attention to details in your craft is remarkable.
Yeah, Lucas is spot on regarding aftermarket parts. Any time I build a new gun, or I make changes to a gun, I take it out and run the piss out of it to make sure it works properly because you CAN and WILL run into issues mixing and matching after market parts in any gun, but there's just a TON of aftermarket parts for Glock pattern handguns and you'd be surprised at how easily some things can not mesh well together. I have seen some horrible fitments between slides and barrels from different after market manufacturers and don't get me started on triggers.
That my friend is a phenomenon known as "tolerance stacking". I will say though--most of the aftermarket glock stuff I've bought has been effective. Just buy high quality stuff and usually you won't have issues but as you said you should vet every change to a firearm.
This is something I didn’t really consider before watching this video. Great points.
@@armorers_wrench Plus a great excuse to get to the range and get in some drills, lol
@@ReubenPastrami I have more time behind a stick than most LEOs I know and shoot with. Training is key. It's the indian, not the arrow. But if you maintain a high performance standard, no reason not to have a nice arrow.
Zev is one of the few aftermarket companies worth buying.
The burn notice cameo was nice man….thanks….my heart was warmed😊
One thing to never forget when going and testing your new carry gun- run the loads you inted to carry with!!! At least an extra box of 20-50 rounds to verify that the OAL and profile of your bullet choice will properly clear the feed ramp, especially on more compact handguns with sharper ramps.
Those of us who ever carried a tiny colt mustang style conceal gun (Kimber Micro9, Sig P938, Springfield 911, etc) or even 1911's know that they are notorious for "denying entry" of hollow point ammunition!
Or get a glock
A mistake I made long ago with my Kimber SIS Pro. I never ranged the ammo I had in it every day. For almost a year before finally deciding "Yeah, I should probably practice with the ammo I have in it every day" just to find out the Kimber did not like it AT ALL. Failure to feeds, stoves galore. Ironically it feed cheap range ammo just fine. But some of the more well known defense rounds. It wanted none of it.
I walked around for a year with a 1911 that wouldn't have worked well if at all. Was a huge wake up call.
Have since moved to an HK45c, which eats literally anything you throw at it. Been happy ever since.
Just grabbed an Orion, love you guys!! Keep arming the people with knowledge and equipment!!!!!!
I miss the days of the weekly hour long armory streams, but I knew those days couldn’t last! And I know Trex is doing what needs to be done behind closed doors! I’ll always be here to watch!
I do too, but I think they were covid fillers.
The only aftermarket part on my gen 5 glock 19 is an enhanced trigger from Wilson Combat. I’ve put several hundred rounds through my pistol after installing it, and it’s been great to fire with no malfunctions.
Thank God a longer vid, love y'alls shorts but I miss the longer vids
Very impressive shooting with da/sa!
What I really like is when I can’t see any details of the gun in the beginning because when your editor asked you what LUT pack to use you said “all of them”.
Great video btw love the channel!
Just by watching your videos you make me have a broader mindset about my firearms, my ammo, and my training. Everything lol. As a fellow COD player I say you have earned your prestige Sir👌
Always enjoy your vids... I learn a lot at 67 yrs old.. keep up the great work....
A big shout-out and thank you from South Africa for all the practical, relevant and transparent info in your videos. We have an average wait of 18-24 months for a firearm licence (any sort) and I'm not even halfway there yet, so your advocating of practice, dry-firing (playing scales on a piano as you say 😄) is all we have till we're licensed, so its bb's and airsoft drills till then. That's why the video with Liku applying his airsoft skills to firearms was so awesome to watch...over and over again. Great stuff guys 👌👌
Howzit bout!
@@zackb1093 I give that a 9/10 👌👌👌"Howzit boet" 😎
If looking for a lekker EDC, look into the Hellcat Pro.
I watched alot of your videos my friend ..found your channel a few years back mainly cause I’m cross eye dominate like you ..I’ve learned alot watching your training vids ..always good content ..✌🏻
It's good to hear it explained a bit more in detail with a few talking points I can bring up next time people try telling me they will "rise to the occasion" and go for known unreliable firearms. I use my carry gun in most of the matches I have ran and all of the malfunctions I have had is user induced from my grip placement getting sloppy and me just needing to address it and train more.
Glad to hear the Zev slide worked out for you, I however did not have the same luck with the one I ordered from you guys. The firing pin channel was way out of spec, the channel liner could just fall right out of it with ease. Your people told me I was SOL and I should take it up with Zev. Zev told me to sent it in and supposedly they’ll send me another one but I’m definitely not trusting that thing on a gun I’m going to depend on. Should’ve just got my oem slide milled
Dude, that looks like so much fun! Great speed
Thanks for the information. I carry OG G19 gen 3.
Just want to say thanks for always making worthwhile content.
I just switched my carry from 19 to gen 3 aftermarket Glock frame GST-9. It has built in all the common enhancements Glock enthusiasts make; straight back, high cut trigger guard, no finger grooves, perfect stippling, and built in mag well. So here’s the thing, the grip is more round than blocky so no pressure points around the edges and no finger grooves so you get a consistent 360 grip with your whole hand. It really makes a difference with double hand grip, no high points and air tight. Also the only frame I know that you can have a 19 slide with a 17 grip, 19 grip is a slight compromise for my hand, I don’t like the feeling of it hanging over the edge.
Always great information from your videos...Thank you Brother
Been running a Glock 17 for my whole Concealed carry life. And I been thinking for who know how long, “which pistol I can get next for a battle belt” then by the Grace of God I thought “why not just carry the same pistol” BIG BRAIN!!!
Sir, is it hard to “conceal” a Glock 17? How do you conceal it? It’s nice to save some money by using the same gun.
Also I’m a lefty and I got small hands, I feel like the 17 isn’t the best choice for me. Correct me if I’m wrong.
Good day!!
@@peter-jm1pu I also CC a Glock 17 in the Sidecar from TREX Arms with a spare mag, it’s really not that bad. I’m about 6’0 250 lbs. and the only difference I had to make is start buying my shirts a bit looser.
@@peter-jm1pu The hardest part for me is the end of the grip. It being a full size it sticks out a inch or so over a Glock 19. I use a TRex arms holster and I put the “wing” on the front so it pushing the pistol more into me. It is alittle big but not near enough for me not to wear it everyday. I’m a skinny guy so it’s easy for me and TRex arms does make holsters for lefty’s. Hope this helps.
@@peter-jm1pu Personally I think your build/body type will influence it a lot, like if you're 5'4" 110lbs, a full size handgun might be a bit much. With small hands a Glock 19 might be a better option
I own a few Glocks. I often use my beat up used Glock 22 gen 4 mainly because it's simple, has a lot of add-ons, Cerakote Elite slide, 3 after market barrels. .357sig, .40, 9x19mm. I have a gen 5 Glock 26 9mm that is great for ccw, defense too.
Very informative and accurate. I recently purchased an xdme for competition purposes. And until I took it to the range it stayed right in its box. Pistols should be fired before intending to trust your life on it. I took the new pistol to the range, shot 310 rounds at least, and the firearm ran amazing. I still have to put about 300rds more through it but I will make sure the gun cycles and runs perfectly before I use it for what I purchased it for.
P.s I shot about 700+rds through my hellcat pro before making it my edc
Awesome content as always
Great video, thanks for putting this one out.
Even being dedicated to good time on shot timers is helpful in addressing malfunctions. I put an extended slide stop on my gen 3 g19 and kept getting the slide lock back after a round or two from my support hand interfacing with it. When shooting for par times, it became obvious what was causing this new issue and what I needed to do about it.
Bought a new 43x with the Holosun and TLR7 Sub. Tomorrow is my first 2 hour private lesson and I'm super excited!
Hey Lucas great video. You mentioning or eluded to the “Tap Rack Ready” drills. Is that something you and your team would be interested in making a video or short series on? Essentially completing a timed course of fire with dummy rounds mixed in your load outs focusing on moment and cover while clearing malfunctions and delivering follow up shots.
--3 full mags
--7-8 dummy rounds mixed randomly between the 3
--Timed course of fire
Anyways you asked for suggestions and I’ve never seen any CZcams videos outing this so I thought I’d suggest it. Thanks for the great content.
Inspiring, enlightening, and entertaining.
Loved the Burn Notice reference!
Love the Burn Notice flashbacks! 😆
I recently purchased a new Gen 4 19C for my carry gun. I have about 800 rounds through it with 5 different kinds of ammo. I shot in 3 IDPA matches also. I have a number of modifications such as trigger, striker, and recoil system as well as frame modifications and I have yet to have any malfunctions. I had it milled for an SRO and it is my favorite red dot also. To me, this is the perfect size combat carry pistol. I have a box of Silvertips through it and I have 4 more boxes to go through and if all is good I am ok to protect my life with this weapon without any doubts.
Great review, thank you!
The bit about malfunctions is absolutely real. Many times, people do not stop to think whether a malfunction was the fault of their own gun of the ammo they use. I shoot allot of shotgun sports. Specifically Bunker Trap. Due to the general build quality of components like the firing pins or the triggers in most over-under sporting shotguns, you can almost always attribute failure to fires to the ammo. You get a real good sense of what manufacturers are good and what manufacturers are questionable very quickly (if you shoot allot from different companies). My honest advice is to buy from Federal, Winchester, or Fiocchi. Out of the probably 200k rounds I've shot between those three, I have had genuinely bad primers in the single digits.
Love the classic Sig making an appearance.
Amazing Video Lucas!
Sig Fan Boy callout around the 15:00 mark haha. Anecdotal, but every P320 I've witnessed first hand in range trips or classes has had problems. And none of them except one were base models, they were nearly $1000 models. None of them were catastrophic, but of the ones I spoke to, most of them were new to the shooters and they were just becoming aware that their "Military Tested and Approved" pistols were quite ammo sensitive. Just my experience.
Loved seeing the 228, old school DA/SA sigs are badass!
Hmmmm…320-legion plus 200k round, 320-357sig with plus 30k. Yes 320 are strong heavy from factory, so no cheap shit. No a big deal. I reload so ammo is $90 per 1000 rounds. With glock would cost 3 times that or replace barrel.
Funny I had the exact opposite experience. Glock shooters kept looking at their guns wondering why they were so far off target while the sig guys smiled? 🤷♂️
@@dsig7776did they figure out why they were so off? And all the sig guys were really smiling at each other?
@@heaterfamilyyou have 200,000 rounds through that gun and another 30,000 through another? That’s a lot of shooting.

Really glad finally more people are putting out more content about training from different pistols. It doesn’t matter what gun as long it runs good and you know it’s reliable & tested & your proficient with it
My favorite Glocks of all time are the Gen 3 RTF frame G17 and G19. I never should've gotten rid of those. My best friend still has them and won't sell them back lol. I've shot hundreds of thousands of rounds through Glocks over 30+ years. My retiree gun is a stock G17 Gen 4 with over 130K through it. Can't go wrong with them, and all of mine are bone stock Glocks. I might have the slide cut for and optic and serrations and the grips stippled but otherwise everything is stock on the gun unless I have to change the sights out (always when they're plastic sights). Only gun I trust right out of the box. Still love my other guns for sure but I've trusted my life to Glocks since the early 90's and after seeing literally millions of rounds shot through them, they'll always be my favorite. Ain't the prettiest, ain't the most ergonomic, definitely not the best triggers but they are accurate, reliable and have great longevity.
"Check out my pistol It's a Glock but 95% of it isn't and it cost me 5 times the starting price." Love it.
Good info, thanks for sharing!
Wow. Super excited for another almost identical Glock.

I agree it worked some where that used flock 19 they had range guns that shot wonky and they still fired with no malfunctions. Enjoyed the video. Just subscribed.
I have two pistols for carry. My butter gun is a full size 9mm with green dot and comp. My summer gun is a hellcat pro for the round count and concealment.
That is awesome good job I like that training
The P228 is nice, but it's thicker (larger in every dimesrion) and heavier than the 19 which can be just as accurate with training. I have found it easier to attain great accuracy with the P228, but that juice isn't worth the squeeze. The Seals went to the 19, so if you're wanting a Sig instead; go to the P226 since it's just under .5" longer and taller. Thanks for your hard work guys. To the first aid point, it'd be nice if you inserted medical emergency drills into your Training scenarios since you have an entire facility: pop quiz; you took an injury to the leg - what would you do. There are courses out there, so preface with that, but giving examples goes along way towards building that mental readiness since 1st aid and fires are more likely (range trips are just fun and no one really wants conflict) however, the old adage adage applies: "if you want peace, prepare for war".
SEALS Shoot what ever they want. Not too many are Glocks anymore. Ask me how I know
Swapping carry guns constantly is crazy to me yes find what you can conceal, shoot well and is reliable then train with it!
Awesome 3gen Glock great choice sir
Nice work
