The Spectacular Spider-Man is an American superhero animated television series based on the Marvel Comics character Spider-Man, created and developed by Greg Weisman and Victor Cook. In terms of overall tone and style, the series is based principally on the Stan Lee, Steve Ditko, and John Romita Sr. era of The Amazing Spider-Man comic books, with a similar balance of action, drama, and comedy as well as a high school setting. However, it also tends to blend material from all eras of the comic's run-up to that point in addition to other sources such as the Ultimate Spider-Man comics by Brian Michael Bendis and Mark Bagley, as well as Sam Raimi's Spider-Man film series.

One of the best fights in the series. Spider-man got destroyed last time they fought, now he's strong enough to beat him. And that classical music is the cherry on top.
Whats even more impressive is that Spider-Man I'm sure was incredibly exhausted from fighting Silvermane and Doc Ock too but he still had enough stamina to fight Tombstone and also I'm sure Spidey was holding back against Tombstone and he still beat him.
Also gotta love how through the fight, you can see Spiderman isn't actually overpowering Tombstone. He is just adapting his fighting style to catch his opponent off guard, after noticing the first time he met him that brute force wasn't getting him anywhere.
Tombstone never failed to Spidey before, so he just kept relying to striking first, and thinking later. Like trying to hit Spidey with that giant rock only to be outsped.
@@roderick8167his powers aren't fully developed and yes spidey holds back a lot, unless you pissed him off enough to go prime ape shit on you.
Only he can easily kill you with a flick of his finger
He was always strong enough to beat him he just always held back
@@roderick8167 to be fair Tombstone also received damage from Doc Ock
"Painfully. But I told you then... I don't look the other way."
Still one of my most favorite uses of a season 1 callback ever done in a cartoon.
Makes you wonder where was this in spiderverse?
@@christophermunoz2004producers thought it was the way he "matured".
Yeah, that's bull
@mariusconstantin6057 exactly. If anything he'd be one of many spider men that would have at least attempted to pull what miles did. Listen, miles is a cool guy and but there is no way he was the ONLY one that thought "screw that! I'll who save however many I can." Better yet there should have been a whole faction of of the spiderverse that resisted Miguel. Initially labeled as insurgents only to be revealed as spider-men and women that refused to look the other way.
It's a shame thats for sure@@christophermunoz2004
@@christophermunoz2004Miles Bore-alis sucks shit through a straw.
I love how Ock is relieved after Spidey defeats Tombstone, because he know that if Lincoln defeated Spidey he would've killed him
Umm Ock wanted to impale him in a previous episode.
@@BestInTheWorld365think he means that Lincoln might’ve killed Otto after beating Spidey
@@mattixender3016 yeah
I think he was counting on Tombstone to get rid of Spidey once and for all so that their negotiations can continue without him interfering, he said it himself shortly before this clip
I think Ock knows it's better Spidey wins, but there's this feeling of even with all 3 of them against him he still wins, like come on kind of feeling
You gotta give Spidey major props here , he fought Doc Ock, Silvermane, and Tombstone all by himself with no break and he beat all 3 of them and im sure he was holding back too, don't fuck with Spider-Man.
They all weak against him. He have much experience in fight.
They don't call him the Spectacular Spiderman for nothing.
That indomitable will goes crazy. He’s done things even more impressive than this too.
@@VITAS874 They're not. Tombstone soloed Spider-Man before. Doc-Ock is a dangerous threat too. The only one who could be considered a pushover in this case is Silvermane.
The fact that Spider-Man has been holding back this whole time on this fight just to show how powerful he is.
Also showed how he only lost to Tombstone the first time they fought was because he underestimated him
This spidey's at his weakest
Can I just say the way Spidey used jungle gymnastics on Doc Oct’s tentacles was awesome?
Best Tombstone version ever
Complete with Kingpin’s role
@@jordankrzywicki9412 They probably just couldn't use Kingpin given how he is heavily a Daredevil villain even though he was first a Spider-Man villain. But Tombstone was great in this series even if he was a Kingpin stand in.
And THAT’S why he is the Spectacular Spider-Man!
Probably one of the best fights in Spider-Man related media
One of my fav episodes of the series, really brings in a cast of characters that are mentioned less in Spidey's rogue gallery with other traditional names with one of the best fights in the series to cap off the episode.
Tombstone was stupid to tried attack Spiderman, even if both were underground, as he could still apparent be a "kind and selfless" business man, to be helping Spiderman against Silvio and Octavius.
But for tried to attack him, Tombstone exposed himself, allowing Spiderman show to the authorities that he was a criminal, destroying his facade of noble business man
As he said, no witnesses there, his word against spidey's, if you watch the episode, it's actually the reporter (who's whispering in JJ's ear) who manages to collect enough evidence to tie Tombstone to his criminal activites.
@@sciencefictiongeek14 Thats, and the fact that Hammerhead betrayed Tombstone, as its likely that his former henchman made easier to the reporter could get the evidence to expose and throw under the bus his former boss.
Still, i think that was a reckless decision behalf Tombstone to fighted Spiderman underground, even with "no witnesses here", showing that the crime lord was becoming careless and reckless, something that Hammerhead even critized him earlier, for be calling the Enforcers for himself, than allowing Hammerhead be who do this job, especially for his lack of respect.
@@josecuestas7246I'm not convinced that it was Hammerhead in this episode. After the twist at the end, I have a hunch it was Chameleon at the party.
@@quincyconnors9391 Good theory. Though that i still think that Hammerhead was also involved in this fact, at least in some degree, as he was plotting against Tombstone since the previous episode, after be discreetly encouraged by Norman Osborn/Green Goblin.
@@quincyconnors9391 It was hammerhead, he was too confused to truly be in on the plan with Green Goblin. He just saw a chance to become the new big man and he took it.
There even is a scene with hammerhead talking to himself. "If all goes good, them three mooks take each other out, then Hammerheads the new big man."
You could say that's Chameleon saying that hammerhead will be the big man. But if he was the Chameleon, he would have said the Goblins the new big man.
Jameson really doesn't know when to shut up does he? He just makes a fool of himself.
Always

Am I crazy , or has he gotten taller since season 1 ?
It’s realistic tbh, considering he’s 15 and teens grow pretty fast
@@swordchannelfires that’s fair
1:51 Because of Uncle Ben
If Marvel Animations revives the series for season 3, Kingpin should be the main villain of season 3. And DareDevil needs to be voiced by Troy Baker.
Maybe a little Earth’s mightiest heroes easter egg?
That would be perfect since they were setting up Kingpin to replace Tombstone.
The Big Man of Crime
The Kingpin of Crime
Makes perfect sense.
2:25... That's some sweet Ditko... (Chef's Kiss)
Spider-Man really put some dirt in these guys's eyes
0:07 that’s the most cartoonish gun I’ve ever seen 😂 it’s like….two rectangles, no iron sights. It just made me giggle
1:51 this is cinema 🙌🏼
My favourite scene in what remains to this day my all-time favourite superhero cartoon.
Same, Spider-Man’s fight with Tombstone is my favourite Spider-Man fight scene in my favourite Spider-Man cartoon. The music really makes it something special
Love how hard this episode goes
Captain Stacy should've been like, "Need I remind you that threatening an officer of the law is a felony?"
Where was this when Miguel said they had to let Miles father die?
Guess Tombstone just needed to wear a Spider-Man costume to get his compliance.
That film character assassinated Peter Parker and his many interpretations across film and tv because the plot needed to happen. Peter Parker doesn't look the other way and always strives to save others. He may not always succeed, but he always tries to save everyone regardless of the circumstances.
My guess is this Spidey already lost his Captain Stacey when Miguel recruited him.
Mírate la peli otra vez crack@@jonarbuckle778
@thatsmyq52 you could tell from the tone of his voice tha he's gone through a tragedy
Well this made video made my start to the morning
If this show had the rights to the Kingpin this would have been even more epic especially with the opera playing in the background
One of the best
That punch went hard 1:13
I freaking love the implications that because *He* gave Hammerhead the idea to turn all 3 of the most powerful criminal forces on each other. It made way for New York to go a little… *Green*
I missed the part where...
That's my problem.
@@jessemillan1385 Where's my money?
Imagine if they had kept to the plans of this Spider-Man version being in the Avengers Earths Mightiest Heroes, would've been so amazing, along with making Avengers even better
Grew-up,watching this
I sincerely hope in the next Spider-Verse movie, there's a call back to Spectacular Spider-Man oath of "never looking the way" and that gets him to realize that what the Spider-Society is doing in allowing the deaths that are deemed canon events to happen is wrong.
Awesome episodio 2 spiderman ❤😂🎉dcr
bruh tombstone straight up nightwing'ed spidey
2:29
In questa serie il mio villain preferito è proprio Lapide, visto che, nonostante il suo essere un signore del crimine, era l'unico a usare la criminalità per cercare di portare a New York un suo macchiavellico se pur contorto ideale di ordine.
Hey, good morning!
2:00 ¿Como se llama la cancion?
Wonder what it would've been like if Sable joined the fight & Peter told Capt. Stacy that it was Doc Ock who kidnapped Gwen on New Year's Eve.
I think Captain Stacy already knew what Octavius did.
Peter just negged them both 💀 The most realistic Spider-Man ever. Best series
nah only otto was negged because spider-man got used to fighting him and knows his weakness, tombstone was a mid diff because he's just strong and has no easy weak spots to exploit
@@Vapor817 that's why Spectacular is the most realistic serie ever
Nothing realistic about it, also Spiderman’s lost to Tombstone in the comics
@@nathannix3217 comics are different from this series. Spectacular Spider-Man may be stronger than comic Spider-Man or the Tombstone in comics may be stronger than the Spectacular's Tombstone
@@ERROR-404wh Not the point, you claimed this was somehow a realistic or logical depiction on how the fight would go but the evidence (comics) prove that false.
What's the name of the music?
Little does Tombstone know is that Spider-Man is holding back. I mean Spider-Man can lift up 10 tonnes and deliver 50 tonnes of force.
So if Tombstone thinks he can easily destroy Spider-Man. He's sadly mistaken. The only reason he lost their first fight.
Is because Spidey didn't take him seriously. If he was. Peter would end without trouble.
I mean the comics Spider-Man's webs contained the Incredible Hulk. Spidey literally sent Hulk flying into space 🌌.
Hulk is strong enough to lift a 150 billion ton mountain and pull 2 atonic plates together on a planet that was splitting in half.
So this shows how much Spider-Man holds back. If he stopped holding back. Pretty much everyone in his rogue gallery including Tombstone would be history.
So true
spidey had the cosmic power when he launched hulk
@@MrBrandonStar Can you imagine seeing that power in The Spectacular Spider-Man combined with the organic web shooters like Tobey Maguire's Spider-Man?
By your logic Spiderman would one shot him, but he didn’t, because he can’t.
