My oldest "intact" sketchbook - from 2013 onwards

- For those who are curious about why I haven't made any videos for the last five months, the short answer is that I just haven't felt like it!
I had some car trouble which resulted in my car being in and out of the garage for 5 weeks and the repairs totally wiped out my savings. Around the same time I found out I was being made redundant. Soon after this a family member died in horrible circumstances. Since then I have attended 3 funerals, one for the family member and also two for friends. At one of those funerals I picked up covid. Fortunately I don't have any medical issues which could have made it more serious, but it was bad enough! In between those things I've been looking for a new job.
So although I've still been doing some creative things for my own sanity and "self-care", I just haven't felt like turning the camera on to film. I hope you understand.

Goodness, so sorry to hear all you’ve been dealing with over the last 5 months, no wonder CZcams took a backseat! Glad to see you back and enjoyed seeing and hearing the stories behind your older sketches.
@@FaithAnnNB thank you! I wasn’t sure whether to mention what’s been going on or not. Putting it in the description seemed a good compromise haha. I need to practice talking less anyway…. Especially with 6 months of daily sketches coming up haha

Welcome back! Things happen and you can't always carry on as usual. I am now looking after my very ill husband and don't have the time to do big paintings, but I have started doodling in my little sketchbook, size very similar to yours, inspired by other videos I've seen on CZcams, and that's helping me. Good luck with your job search, if you're still looking. Being retired at least I don't have that to worry about. Look forward to your next video when you have the time and inclination to do it.
Thank you! It’s not always easy to adjust to a change in circumstances, is it. I’m glad you’ve been able to scale down your artwork to make it fit your current circumstances, while still keeping going with your art. I have lots of different creative hobbies so it’s nice to be able to switch between them depending what I feel like doing or how much free time I’ve got etc. Wishing you all the best with your difficult situation
