Loved tales! Animation, sound design was on point. Morgan’s story was just ok but connecting some dots in the story was nice. Barris was really cool! Felt like a nice end to her story

Agree…all the haters need to calm down about Tales of the Empire. I hope these continue…it’s a nice way to fill in what happens to some characters and connect the dots, etc. If people complain, then they’ll stop doing this type of stuff. There are plenty of characters whose stories they can tell…just let them pick what characters they want to focus on….and enjoy the damn show! TBH, I like these better than What If type of vignettes.
Tales of the Empire had great story telling with two characters I simply don’t care about
Maybe that was the problem for me as well. Couldn't put my finger on it but I just didn't enjoy it. I LOVED tails of the jedi, so was a huge let down.
I remember saying something about this when the trailer dropped, could not have been bigger ego trip choices for Dave considering that they’re both kinda irrelevant and frankly lame, also who tf would think of either of these characters when thinking about the empire 😂

I Cared about Morgan Elizabeth story arc, and im watching it again already so if peeps hate it, i didnt notice 🤷🏻♀️ Star Wars is awesome 😎

Josh great points on Abeloth man :) I missed those connections in the acolyte trailer with the kids eyes going black, the dark users teeth on his mask.. also.. couple pieces of art work with the mother that has a gold ring in the background, kind of like the Acolytes font in the logo for the show.. this is what I’m talking about if we go this dark and deep. They are saying they are bringing some legends stuff back to canon. Maybe I’m a shill but, I’m down for this.

I liked Tales of the Empire, wasn’t nearly as good as ToTJ, but also wasn’t as bad as a lot of people are saying.

Josh google chrome lets you screen share. There is a setting you have to turn off in order to do it. Google or youtube it its hella easy.

I just took my kids to see Episode 1 in theaters. That door opened and Maul is standing there like a badass, Duel of the fates starts blasting and Qui Gon says “well handle this”. my fu*king eyes started watering up 😂. It’s so good!!!!

I think Lyn is gonna end up healing barris but will either die like kylo did to make that a connection to the damn sequels or she will live too and either way is unsatisfying but heck if they both live they are obviously setting somthing up with tanalor , the hidden path and many of these Jedi that are still alive maybe Vader and palps show up to tanalor before the original trilogy and we see a 2nd Jedi purge on tanalor 😂would be kinda crazy not gonna lie but I feel like tanalor would be somthing abeloth related as well

Tales of Jedi was way better. Idk why but they focus 3 long eps on Morgan Elsbeth…. No one cares about her. Give us Darth vader or inquisitors or Empire officials like tarkin and , ofc the emperor

it looks cheap because it’s all shot on the volume, and WAY overlit. you may hate Andor, but it looks like ALL the shows should. 90% on location and practical fx.
You know this show had actual sets and on location right?
i know that’s what they say, but we’ll see. pretty easy to see the few outdoor location shots. but all the indoor stuff is volume and stages. and it’s all overlit and flat. just gives a very video/soap opera/tv vibe :(

The ACOLYTE will be good. Leslie is a great showrunner. However i do worry about the wokeness. Its funny because people think acolyte will be bad but Leslie is the most competent showrunner theyve ever had other than Gilroy
X-men 97 beats all SW shows, that’s just sad imo.
Seeing what I saw in the theater last night at the end of TPM for Acolyte was I hate to say incredible. If that glimpse was the standard of the action then it’s going to be really good. Story on the other hand could still fall all too routinely short as with Disney Star Wars these days.
What a joke Tales of the empire was it wasn’t just mid it’s bad, first off why is it even called that? There’s barely any empire in there and they just use vader simply as a prop. Title makes 0 sense. They ruined yet another character in barris and do another redemption story rather than something dark, plus we get the other half of the show about a dead character that’s pointless now. All produced by Dave Filoni folks! He has to actually be held accountable also, if he can’t adapt and can’t stand up against some garbage then he should go too.

The costumes in acolyte are too clean. They all look brand new not the lived in look starwars normally has.
